Mexican Gov ernment Scholarships for International Students 2015 Special Progr ams Program Description Grants for academics/researchers with extensive research experience in topics related to Mexico to do research at higher education institutions, archives, libraries, research centers and cultural institutions in Mexico. This program is not open to candidates who are just beginning their studies or research. Candidate Profile Researchers and specialists with extensive research experience and publications on any topic related to Mexico. Length Minimum: One month Maximum: Twelve months Requirement Must have a research project on any topic related to Mexico that has been approved by an advisor at the Mexican host institution. Required Documents Application form, completed and signed, with photograph. All original, no copies. Letter from the Mexican host institution, signed by the responsible party (Director of Academic Exchanges, Head of the Graduate Studies Department, Graduate Studies Coordinator, etc.), inviting the applicant to carry out the research project and stating the title of the March 2015 Mexican Gov ernment Scholarships for International Students 2015 Special Progr ams research, the name of the advisor, if possible, and the start and end dates of the project. Resume (CV) in Spanish, or the original and a Spanish translation (need not be certified). Copy of the diploma for the highest degree received. Detailed research proposal, including an explanation of the desired outcome. An explanation of why the applicant is interested in conducting research in Mexico. Medical certificate of good health (in the original) issued by a public or private institution no more than 3 (three) months prior to submitting the documents. Independent health certificates will not be accepted. Copy of passport. 4 original photographs (not digital). Benefits Monthly stipend equivalent to 5 (five) times the minimum salary in Mexico City, currently the equivalent of $10,515.00 pesos (approximately US$681.901). Round-trip international airfare at the beginning and end of the scholarship. Mexico City host institution Mexico City transportation. Any activities carried out elsewhere in Mexico during the stay must be paid for by the applicant. IMSS health insurance beginning in the third month of the grant.
