Types of tickets and fares (tickets might be used for buses, trams and metro line):
Short-term tickets entitle for an unlimited number of journeys within 20/75 minutes from
validation:
• 20-minute – 3,40 PLN
• 75-minute – 4,40 PLN
Short-term tickets:
• 1-day City Travelcard entitles for an unlimited number of journeys for 24 hours from
its validation – 15 PLN

 Ticket vending machines located at all metro stations and some bus/tram stops
 Kiosks and some stores
 Ticket machines in some vehicles (but only some)

VETURILO – CITY BIKE
Veturilo is a city bike system that enables renting bicycles for short trips. To be able to
use it, you have to register first at website http://www.veturilo.waw.pl and pay 10 PLN.
There you can also find a map of all 197 Veturilo stations, fares (rent for up to 20
minutes is free of charge) and additional information. The website is in Polish, English,
German and Russian. There is one Veturilo station next to Warsaw University Library
and conference venue.
GETTING FROM THE CHOPIN AIRPORT TO THE CITY CENTER
There is a direct bus from the Chopin Airport to the city center – bus no. 175.
There is also a train from the airport to the city center – get off at Warszawa Centralna
(Central Railway Station) or Warszawa Śródmieście.
FOR PARTICIPANTS STAYING AT IBIS STARE MIASTO HOTEL
You can take a walk (ca. 30 minutes)
Public transport: you can take a bus no. 178 from the Muranowska 05 stop (direction:
PKP Ursus) and get off at Uniwersytet 01 stop (5th stop) and then take a bus no. 105 and
get off at Biblioteka Uniwersytecka (University of Warsaw Library) 02 stop (4th stop).
You can also walk down the escarpment around 7 minutes from the Uniwersytet bus
stop to the University of Warsaw Library. The conference venue is ca 5 minutes walking
distance from the Library.
