POLICY
Polskie Ratownictwo Okretowe is a ship operating company providing shipping and crane
services for the shipping offshore industry, and in particular: offshore installations service,
ocean towage, transhipment and transport of goods.
The Company intends to achieve and maintain the highest possible level of quality and safety
in all types of its activity. The mission of the Company is to operate the modern fleet, taking
into account the highest level of safety of personnel, natural environment, property and
quality. The Company takes into account the safety of other persons and entities that are
influenced by its activities.
The Company requires all its employees to be engaged in achieving the high level of quality,
health, safety and environment protection.
1.
Main objectives of the QHSE Policy:
Promote and support a pro-active QHSE culture, outstanding QHSE performance and
manage this as a line responsibility with clear authorities and accountabilities.
2.
Emphasis on understanding our client’s requirements prior to provide solutions, which
often surpass their expectations in order to achieve customer satisfaction.
3.
Preservation of human and environmental assets which is vital to the success and efficiency
of our business.
4.
Involve all the staff in Health, Safety, Quality and prevention of pollution.
5.
Establish objectives and review them at necessary intervals, to identify improvement
opportunities and take suitable actions for continual improvement.
6.
Management of Subcontractors and Suppliers to ensure that their activities meet PRO
requirements as a minimum.
7.
Compliance with applicable law and contractually committed requirements as a minimum
by:
• Implementation of applicable Lessons Learnt,
• Systematic identification, assessment and management of changes.
8.
The clear responsibility that everyone has the obligation to stop the job when it is not safe.
No job is that important that it cannot be done safely.

Consultation of employees about QHSE related subjects by means of recognized
representation and meetings.
10.
Ensure the proper organisational structure and highly qualified seagoing and shore-based
personnel.
11.
Ensure the work conditions that are safe and harmless for health in the entirety of the
Company activities.
12.
Risk management through identification of possible hazards.
13.
Prepare the personnel to act in the emergency situations.
14.
Prevent any damage and injury at the workplace.
15.
Conduct necessary training for all personnel and ensure support to the personnel from the
part of management, allowing them performance of their duties according to the rules of
this Policy.
16.
Prevent damage to the natural environment resulting from the Company activity.
17.
Operate modern fleet and maintain all the units and their equipment according to the
requirements of the Company, charterers and supervising institutions.
18.
Apply any relevant rules and regulations within safety, health protection, natural
environment and high quality in all its operations.
19.
Ensure supervision and certification of the QHSE Management System according to the
requirements of the ISM Code with taking into account the ISPS Code, MLC 2006, ISO
9001:2008.
20.
Follow the QHSE Policy that is the overriding document for all areas of the Company
activity.
In order to implement and to achieve the QHSE Policy objectives, the Company established
and applies the QHSE Management System.
