Że to będzie fajne miejsce było to jasne!
Tuż nad naszą rzeką Nidą
2000 lat do tyłu ktoś naparstek pozostawił
Naszą wieś na świat rozsławił
Potem w małej wiosce Nidzie
W wiekach średnich kwitło życie
Potem Pan Sobek się pojawił
I w 1563 roku miasto Sobków tu ustawił
Powstawały wnet ulice,
Powstał kościół, cmentarz, ulice, domy

Pojawili się tu Żydzi,
Były wojny i pożary,
Nowi właściciele i różne historie
Aż powstania Sobków dosięgły
I w 1869 pożegnał się z byciem miastem
Ciężko w czasie wojen doświadczony
Spalony i zniszczony
Ludność żydowska zginęła w Treblince.
Po wojnie powoli się odbudował.
W 1973 został stolicą gminy
A od 1990 ma własny samorząd i wójta.
A obecnie co to Sobków?
Wiele ulic tu spotkacie, ale nadal nie ma
ronda
Jest tu szkoła – jedna druga trzecia
Począwszy od przedszkola, gdzie maluchy

Where finding witches is not that hard
Village Sobków is located
Thousand people are there settled
Thousand years ago already busy here
That it will be nice one day it was clear!
There upon the Nida river
2000 years ago the thimble left somebody
our place worldwide known to everybody
Then the small village Nida
In Middle Ages got its rhythm
And once Mr Sobek here arrived
And in 1563 he put Town Sobków into life!
So then it started growing quickly
Streets, houses, a cemetery a church built
beautifully
And the market place grew like thunder
Jews came here, it’s no wonder
Then the fires and the wars,
Some new owners, some new roars
Insurrections made their bang
And in 1869 we said bye bye to the town
During the world wars a lot suffered
Into the fires and devastated
Jews form Sobków lost lives in Treblinka
After the war new beginning came
it became the capital of municipality in
1973
1990 brought own government and a mayor
for free
And what can you find in Sobków now?
There are many streets here, still no
roundabout!
And 3 schools are even here!
Kindergarten with the youngest
6 grades of primary school
and gimnazjum with headteacher’s rule!
