TUMULT FOUNDATION FILM PRODUCTION CHOSEN AS THE
POLISH CANDIDATE FOR ACADEMY AWARD!

We are proud to announce that Jerzy Skolimowski's 11 Minutes, produced in co-operation with
Marek Żydowicz and Tumult Foundation, the organizer of the International Film Festival of
the Art of Cinematography CAMERIMAGE, was chosen as the Polish candidate for Academy
Award® in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
This is yet another international success of Jerzy Skolimowski's film, after gathering awards
during Venice and Gdynia film festivals. 11 Minutes (cin. Mikołaj Łebkowski) will have its
Polish theatrical release in October, courtesy of Kino Świat distributor, while a special screening
of the film, with the filmmakers in attendance, will take place during the 23rd edition of
Camerimage Festival.
Other films that 11 Minutes will compete against for the nomination in the Best Foreign
Language Film category include Son of Saul (dir. László Nemes, cin. Mátyás Erdély), Rams
(di r. Grímur Hákonarson, cin. Sturla Brandth Grøvlen), Wolf Totem (dir. Jean-Jacques
Annaud, cin. Jean-Marie Dreujou), Goodnight Mommy (dir. Severin Fiala, Veronika Franz,
cin. Martin Gschlacht) and Félix et Meira (dir. Maxime Giroux, cin. Sara Mishara), among
many other.
