Rapid changes of information technologies lead to boosting the strength and efficiency of human activity. These
technologies have an influence on every particular area of human life, including education, science, business, leisure time,
entertainment, state administration, health care. Human life is greatly dependent on these systems’ efficiency and
performance. HSI conference has been prepared as a platform for exchanging ideas, knowledge, skills and experiences in
interactions between man and these systems. HSI conference series has become the most important international
conference in the field of Human System Interactions, human system science and engineering, human factors in large
complex systems, human space computing and cyberphysical systems, human environment interactions, and
social‐technical systems. HSI 2013 is technically sponsored by IEEE Industrial Electronic Society, IEEE‐IES Technical
Committee on Industrial Informatics and IEEE‐IES Technical Committee on Human Factors. This international conference
in Human System Interactions will be held in Gdańsk and Sopot, Northern Poland from 6 to 8 June, 2013. The conference
covers theory, design and application of human‐system interactions in the areas of science, education, business, industry,
services, humanity, environment, health, and government. Aside from the regular presentations, the conference will
include keynote addresses with speakers from both industry and academia, and expects to attract 400 participants.
Prospective authors are invited to submit papers in any of topics listed below:
‐ Artificial Intelligence
‐ Human Machine Interaction
‐ Education and Training

We are pleased to host the 6th International Conference on Human System Interaction (HSI 2013) in Gdańsk and Sopot,
Northern Poland. Gdańsk is a Polish city on the Baltic coast, the capital of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland's principal
seaport and the center of the country's fourth-largest metropolitan area. The city lies on the southern edge of Gdańsk Bay
(of the Baltic Sea), in a conurbation with the city of Gdynia, spa town of Sopot, and suburban communities, which
together form a metropolitan area called the Tricity (Trójmiasto), with a population near 740,000. Gdańsk itself has a
population of 455,830, making it the largest city in the Pomerania region of Northern Poland. The city was the birthplace
of the Solidarity movement which, under the leadership of political activist Lech Wałęsa, played a major role in bringing
an end to Communist rule across Central Europe.

Sopot is a seaside town in Eastern Pomerania on the
southern coast of the Baltic Sea in northern Poland, with
a population of approximately 40,000. Sopot is a major
health-spa and tourist resort destination. It has the
longest wooden pier in Europe, at 515.5 metres,
stretching out into the Bay of Gdańsk. The city is also
famous for its Sopot International Song Festival, the
largest such event in Europe after the Eurovision Song
Contest. Among its other attractions is a fountain of
bromide spring water, known as the "inhalation
mushroom".
The four-star Haffner Hotel is located in the centre of
Sopot and close to the beach, only 15 km away from the
Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN) and 17 km away
from the historic Old Town district of Gdańsk. The
Haffner Hotel offers 100 rooms and 6 apartments with
free Internet access. The guests can visit swimming pool,
a stylish spa with an extensive range of treatments and
therapies, or state-of-the-art, fully equipped conference
centre.
