Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Poland Secretary of State 2008-12-16 Tomasz Półgrabski was born on 11 March 1973 in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. He graduated from the Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw and completed coaching studies at Eugeniusz Piasecki University School of Physical Education in Poznań. In 2008 he defended his doctoral thesis on psychology of sport, and in 2011 he completed MBA studies - sports management at Gdańsk University of Technology. Półgrabski started his professional career in 1997 in the Office of Physical Culture and Sport (Urząd Kultury Fizycznej i Sportu) and since then his professional career is related to this area. In 1998-2000 he acted as the Coordinator of the Olympic preparations programme, from 2001 to 2007 he was the Secretary General of the Polish Tennis Association, in 2007-2012 he acted as the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. So far, his professional experience covers, e.g.: implementation of the strategy in the area of sport; Olympic preparations to the London 2012 Olympics; conduct of trainings for managers and coaches; coordination of the government programme "My sports field – ORLIK 2012" (Moje Boisko – Orlik 2012); moreover, he was responsible for the development of and supervision over the sponsorship programme in tennis “PZT Prokom Team”; he participated in the works of international experts team for the drawing up of good practices model for NGOs; he also coordinated the Olympic Solidarity programme. Interests: psychology, project management, organisation management, travel, tennis, skis, diving.
