The parish of St. Anne’s Hollsopple had its first Mass in the year 1911. First Pastor Rev. Joseph A. Wozny. He completed church, of frame construction, was dedicated on March 17, 1917. Fire destroyed this church on February 13, 1927. The Pastor, Rev. Michael F. Mackowiak, at once set to work to rebuild the church. Under Fr. Alphonse Rozak, the basement was modernized, completing the total needs of the parish. St. Anne’s Church was served with dedication and love by the following Priests: Father Wozny was the first Priest. In 1918, Father Longer. 1919 was Fr. Brady and Fr. Wolfe. Fr. John Figlewski, 1920. Fr. John Sikora, 1922. Fr. Michael Mackowiak, 1925. Fr. Matthew Pfiel, 1941. Fr. Casimir Ossowski, 1942. Fr. Vincent Chomyc, 1946. Fr. Hubert Konieczny, 1948. In 1960 Fr. Prosper Skiba. Fr. Alphonse Rozak came in 1963. Fr. Bonaventure Jezierski, 1971. Fr. Conrad Miller in 1975. Fr. Hubert Konieczny returned to St. Anne’s in 1977. Today May 10, 1981 on Mother’s Day, the family and Parish of St. Anne’s begins a new era in a new location in renewed dedication to God. Attached to this parish is the mission of Holy Cross at Jerome, where Mass was said for the first time in 1908 by the Rev. Ladislaus Finke, then Pastor at Boswell. Father Finke built the church in 1910-1911 and blessed it as the delegate of the late Bishop Garvey s. 3-6. Present Pastor, Rev. Francis Lombardo, O.F.M.Conv. Congratulations s. 7-71. Patrons.
