Program Grundtvig to program Uni Europejskiej dotyczący szeroko rozumianej edukacji
ogólnej (niezawodowej) osób dorosłych
oraz wspiera współpracę na poziomie
europejskim w tym obszarze. Skierowany jest
do różnego typu organizacji zajmujących się
ogólną edukacją dorosłych - ich słuchaczy
i pracowników. Promu-je przede wszystkim
współpracę w zakresie edukacji tych osób
dorosłych, które są z grup wymagających
szczególnego wsparcia, takich jak: osoby
niepełnosprawne, osoby starsze, mniejszości
narodowe i etniczne, osoby o niskich kwalifikacjach, a także zamieszkujące tereny
o utrudnionym dostępie do oferty edukacyjnej dla dorosłych.

The Grundtvig programme is European Union
programme that focuses on the teaching and
study needs of learners taking adult education
and “alternative” education courses, as well
as the organisations delivering these services.
It aims to help develop the adult education
sector, as well as enable more people to
undertake learning experiences, notably in
other European countries.

Słowem wstępu...
Żyjemy w czasach kultu młodości, każdy kto zechce
odnaleźć choćby namiastkę prawdy o nas samych
musi się bardzo natrudzić. A prawda jest taka,
że każdy z nas kiedyś stanie przed lustrem i dostrzeże
w odbiciu starego człowieka. Jeszcze nie tak dawno
„siwa głowa” była gwarancją mądrości, spokoju,
doświadczenia. Szacunek dla wieku był w każdym
z nas i nie było niczym dziwnym, że babcia lub dziadek
byli dla nas ostoją wszystkiego tego co w życiu powinno być cenne i poszukiwane. Ludzie po sześćdziesiątym roku życia, przechodząc na emeryturę zostają
odstawieni na boczny tor. Nikt nie chce się wgłębiać
w problem jakim jest starość. Starość jest niewygodna,
pomarszczona, przygarbiona, uciekamy od niej, boimy się, oszukujemy siebie i innych, że nasza starość
będzie bardziej estetyczna. PESEL nie ma znaczenia,
człowiek swojej starości nie nosi w dowodzie osobistym
tylko w sercu. Im dłużej jest aktywny, im więcej czasu
poświęca na rozwijanie swoich pasji, im częściej
spotyka się z ludźmi młodymi tym później ta prawdziwa, samotna starość każe przeżyć resztę życia przy
oknie. Bardzo często dopiero przechodząc na emeryturę człowiek ma okazję rozwijać się w stopniu, który
wcześniej nie był dla niego dostępny. We live in times when being and staying young is a
cult. Everybody who wants to find the truth out about
yourselves must put in a lot of effort to do this. The truth
is that each one of us will stand in front of the mirror
one day and will see a reflection of an old person.
Not long ago a grey head meant wisdom, tranquility
and experience. Respect for age was in each one
of us and it was not strange that a grandfather or
grandmother were safe harbours of values that were
sought for in life. People over 60 retire and are put
aside. Nobody wants to really take a close look at
the problems of being old. Aging is uncomfortable.
Wrinkled and stooping, we try to escape from it, we
are afraid of it. We lie to ourselves and others that
our old age will be more esthetic. A person has old
age not in the ID but in the heart. The longer one
stays active, more time is spent on developing the
personal passions and meeting young people, the
less one will feel time passing by. It happens quite
often that someone who is retired has a chance
to devolop to a degree which was impossible to
achieve before.

VAN GOGH
Głównym założeniem projektu VAN GOGH jest budowa partnerstwa między ośrodkami kultury z Polski,
Litwy i Węgier, którego celem jest wymiana doświadczeń w zakresie edukacji artystycznej osób dorosłych. Odbiorcami naszego projektu są uczestnicy warsztatów malarskich organizowanych przez nasze instytucje, malarze amatorzy. Są to przede wszystkim
seniorzy, osoby dorosłe, a także instruktorzy malarstwa, pracownicy centrów kultury.
The VAN GOGH project assumptions were to build
a partnership among cultural centres from Poland,
Lithuania and Hungary. The goal of the project was
an exchange of experiences in the field of artistic
education for adults. The people involved in the
project were amateur painters, participants of painting workshops held in our institutions. Most of them
are senior citizens from local communities and art
instructors, staff members of cultural centres.
W ramach projektu zorganizowane zostały trzy międzynarodowe plenery malarskie, w każdym kraju partnerskim. Były to wyjazdy zagraniczne z aktywnym
udziałem słuchaczy. Oprócz tego w każdym kraju
zostały zorganizowane warsztaty z obsługi Internetu
i poczty elektronicznej oraz kurs języka angielskiego
dla pracowników i słuchaczy. Zajęcia te pozwoliły
uczestnikom projektu wziąć udział w przygotowaniu
strony internetowej, galerii prezentującej prace wykonane podczas plenerów.
By the project duration three international painting
outdoors – in each partner country were organized.
These activities were based on active participation
of seniors and adult students. In addtion the project
assumed an organization of Internet and e-mail
workshops in each partner country for learners and
an English language course for learners and staff. By
these activities we aimed to enable participants of
the project to take part in preparation of a website –
internet gallery presenting works painted during the
plein airs. We hold workshops for the development of
communicational skills of all participants of the project.
These took place druing and after the international
meetings – among others using the internet gallery
or sending e-mails. The communication skills were
supposed to be used to build the partnership not only
among institutions but first of all among people.
Mamy nadzieję, że dzieki temu projektowi przełamane zostały bariery kulturowe i językowe u dorosłych uczestników projektu oraz, że praca w grupie
międzynarodowej w trzech krajach spowodowała
wzrost ich poczucia własnej wartości i pewności siebie. Na pewno wzrosła również ich wiedza na temat
różnorodności kultury europejskiej.
Efekty dwuletnich działań artystycznych można obejrzeć na finałowej, międzynarodowej wystawie prac
w Warszawie. Zwieńczeniem współpracy jest katalog
prac wszystkich uczestników projektu.
By this project we hoped to achieve such results
as breaking of cultural and language barriers,
increasement of self-confidence of seniors and adult
learners in the open European Union but also gaining
the skills of cooperation in international teams and
growth of knowledge about the variety of European
culture.
The effects of the 2 year artistic activities will be displayed
during a final exhibition in Warsaw. An exhibition’s
catalogue is one of the partnership‘s results.

PLENER W KAZIMIERZU DOLNYM
W 2008 roku odbyło się I Spotkanie Partnerskie, jedno z najważniejszych działań projektu. Był to międzynarodowy plener
w Kazimierzu Dolnym (21-28 września 2008 r.). W plenerze wzięło
udział 14 przedstawicieli Polski, 9 z Litwy i 9 z Węgier. W ciągu
dnia odbywały się warsztaty w trzech technikach: węgla, suchej pasteli i akrylu. Po południu międzynarodowa kadra
instruktorska dokonywała korekty prac. Wieczory poświęcone
były trójstronnej integracji, kulturze polskiej, prezentacji oferty OKO
i instruktorów Magazynu Sztuk.

THE PLEIN AIR IN KAZIMIERZ DOLNY
The First Partner Meeting took place in 2008 and it was one of the
most important undertakings of the project. The international plein
air was held in Kazimierz Dolny from the 21st until 28th of September
2008. There were 14 participants from Poland, 9 from Lithuania
and 9 from Hungary. During the day there were workshops
concerning three techniques: charcoal, dry pastel and acrylic.
In the afternoons instructors from three countries corrected the
pictures. The evenings were dedicated to trilateral integration:
Polish culture, presentation of the Ochota Cultural Center

PLENER NA LITWIE
W dniach 14-21 czerwca 2009 r. odbyło się II Spotkanie Partnerskie
na Litwie. Przebywaliśmy w przepięknym miejscu położonym w lesie,
nad samym jeziorem niedaleko Wilna. Wszyscy malarze mogli znaleźć wiele obiektów do malowania, a grupa była liczna:
14 osób z Litwy, 9 z Węgier i 12 z Polski. W ciągu dnia uczestnicy
malowali w plenerze i uczyli się nowych technik takich jak
malowanie tuszem i malarstwo reliefowe. Na finalną wystawę
w Warszawie w 2010 roku wybrano 28 obrazów. Wieczorami odbywały się korekty nowopowstałych prac oraz spotkania
narodowe: węgierskie, polskie i litewskie (z sauną!). Uczyliśmy się
również różnych słówek w języku litewskim. Pod koniec pobytu
zwiedziliśmy najważniejsze zabytki Wilna. Naprawdę bardzo nam się
podobało na Litwie!

THE PLEIN AIR IN LITUANIA
The Second Partners Meeting was held from 14th until
21st of June 2009 in Lithuania. We stayed in a beautiful place situated
near Vilnius in the forest, right by the lake. All participants were able
to find plenty of objects to paint. There were 14 artists from Lithuania,
9 from Hungary and 12 from Poland. During the day, participants
painted outdoors and learnt new techniques such as ink painting
and relief painting. 28 pictures were selected for the final exhibition
in Warsaw in 2010. Correction of the newly created pictures took
place in the evenings. After hard work we really enjoyed national
presentations: Hungarian, Polish and Lithuanian (including the
sauna!). We learnt also various words in Lithuanian language. At the
end of our stay we visited the most important historical monuments
of Vilnius. We really enjoyed our stay in Lithuania!

PLENER NA WĘGRZECH
W terminie 10-17 sierpnia 2009 r. odbyło się III - ostatnie - Spotkanie
Partnerskie. Był to międzynarodowy plener w miejscowości Balatonkenese na Węgrzech. W spotkaniu wzięło udział 12 przedstawicieli
z Polski, 13 z Litwy oraz 11 z Węgier. Program pobytu na Węgrzech
był bardzo intensywny. Każdego dnia, zaraz po śniadaniu nasi
uczestnicy zasiadali do malowania prac i spędzali nad nimi całe
dnie, aż do późnej pory obiadowo-kolacyjnej. Prace powstawały
pod czujnym okiem instruktorów węgierskich, polskich oraz litewskich, którzy w ciągu dnia uczyli i doradzali uczestnikom odnośnie
malowania obrazów zaś wieczorem, poddawali je szczegółowej
korekcie i dyskusji. Wieczory poświęcone były prezentacji kultur
litewskiej, węgierskiej oraz polskiej oraz integracji uczestników.
O intensywności pracy świadczą aż 102 obrazy powstałe podczas
tych czterech dni. Techniki, jakimi posługiwali się nasi malarze to
farba olejna, akwarela, akryl oraz pastel sucha. Podczas ostatniego
wieczoru wybrane zostały najlepsze prace, które będzie można
obejrzeć w ramach międzynarodowej wystawy, wieńczącej projekt organizowanej przez Ośrodek Kultury Ochoty w 2010 r. Zaangażowanie uczestników, niepowtarzalna atmosfera Balatonu
oraz wymagająca kadra instruktorów przyczyniły się do powstania
wysokiego poziomu prac. Ostatnie dwa dni wyjazdu poświęcone
były zwiedzaniu Budapesztu, którego piękno na pewno zainspiruje
naszych malarzy do poszukiwań nowych tematów dla swoich
obrazów.

THE PLEIN AIR IN HUNGARY
The “VAN GOGH” is nearing completion. From 10th until 17th of August 2009 the last Third Partner Meeting took place. It was an international
plein air in Balatonkenese in Hungary. The meeting was attended by
12 representatives from Poland, 13 from Lithuania and 11 from the
Hungary. The programme in Hungary was very intense. Every day,
after breakfast, our painters worked the whole day until dinner. The
works were created under the watchful eye of Hungarian, Polish
and Lithuanian instructors, who during the day taught and advised
the participants. After dinner they led discussions about the pictures
and offerred detailed corrections. Evenings were devoted to the
presentation of the cultures of Lithuania, Hungary and Poland. These
helped to foster a certain social integration among the participants.
102 paintings created during outdoor show up the intensity of work.
The techniques used by our painters were oil, watercolour, acrylic and
dry pastel. During the last evening, the best paintings were selected.
The pictures chosen will be presented at the international exhibition
organized by the Ochota Cultural Centre in 2010 to crown
the “VAN GOGH” project. The high degree of the participants
involvement, the great atmosphere of Lake Balaton and demanding
instructors contributed to superior work. The last two days were devoted
to sightseeing trip to Budapest, whose beauty certainly will inspire our
artists to find new subjects for their paintings.

Each nation paints pictures according to its cultural

During this plein air the weather was changing from
rain to sunshine. This change led to a palette of varying
colours and shades when trying to capture the town’s
ambiance. Even the inhabitants of Kazimierz Dolny
seemed not to be insensible to its atmosphere. They
gave us some apples as presents.

Budapeszt zrobił na mnie duże wrażenie. To piękne
miasto wbudowane w potężne skały. Rzeka Dunaj
dzieli je na Budę i Peszt, podobnie jak Wisła Warszawę.
Piękne zabytkowe budynki dodają uroku wspaniałemu
Budapesztowi.

Ośrodek Kultury Ochoty działa na terenie
warszawskiej dzielnicy Ochota. OKO skupia wokół
swoich aktywności seniorów, którzy ze wzgledu na
niskie dochody mają utrudniony dostep do kultury.
Kluby seniora skupione przy Ośrodku prowadzą dla
swoich słuchaczy nieodpłatne warsztaty plastyczne,
teatralne, muzy-czne, literackie. W kilku grupach
malarskich swe pasje rozwija 130 seniorów.
Wileńskie Centrum Kultury mieści się w najdalej
położonej od centrum dzielnicy – Traku Voke. Dzielnica
w dużej części zamieszkana jest przez osoby starsze,
nieaktywne zawodowo. Ze względu na ograniczone
środki finansowe i geograficzne odseparowanie
od reszty miasta, nie są oni skupieni w żadnej innej
aktywności kulturalnej. Przy centrum działa 12 osobowa grupa malarska dla osób dorosłych i seniorów.
Odbiorców zajęć w pozarządowego centrum
kultury z Budapesztu stanowią w większości osoby
starsze. Z ich inicjatywy powstała przy centrum Szkoła
Malarstwa „Picasso”, do której należy 16 malarzy
amatorów.
Ośrodek Kultury Ochoty runs its activities in Warsaw’s
district Ochota. OKO focuses its activity around the
seniors, who because of low income have limited
access to culture. Seniors‘ clubs from our centre
carry on free painting, theatre, music and literature
workshops. 130 seniors develop their passions in 4
painting groups.
The cultural centre from Vilnius is located in the
farthest remoted district - Traku Voke. Considerable
part of the inhabitants of the district are eldery people,
professionally not active. Because of the financial limits
and geographical separation from the rest of the city,
they are not integrated in any other cultural activities.
There is in the centre a 12-person painting group for
adult learners and seniors.
The recipients of the activities of NGO cultural
centre from Budapest are mostly eldery people. Their
initiative has led to the development of the Picasso
Painting School. The school is attended by 16 amateur
painters.
