OTWÓRZMY SIĘ NA PIĘKNO, DOBRO, PRAWDĘ I MIŁOŚĆ (Znaczenie podstawowych wartości w pedagogice) LET’S OPEN FOR BEAUTY, GOODNESS, TRUTH AND LOVE (The importance of the fundamental values in pedagogy) LUDWIK KOSTRO Ateneum Szkoła Wyższa w Gdańsku Summary Every human person is characterized, more or less, by kalotropism, agatotropizm, aleteiotropism and agapeotropism. It means that we are orientated toward beauty, goodness, truth and love. The enumerated values are the most fundamental values of mankind. This paper is a proposal of a pedagogy based on the considered four values. It is called “amoristic pedagogy”. Its motto is expressed in the phrase: think, feel and be active in the element of love for beauty, goodness and truth. The formation of an amoristic inwardness is the principal purpose of the proposed pedagogy. A person characterized by such an amoristic spirituality has a feeling of life satisfaction and therefore he/she can say: “I love and therefore I fully exist”.
