The South Baltic Programme Annual Conference
23-24 October 2012 in Ronneby, Sweden
and monitoring issues for the Projects Partners from Lithuania and
the First Level Controllers. The workshop was organised by the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania and Lithuanian Contact Point with the JTS participation.
The South Baltic Programme Annual Conference will take place on 2324 October 2012 in Ronneby, Sweden. The Programme beneficiaries
and stakeholders will have opportunity to exchange experience, promote results of projects and find synergies. The agenda will be available in June 2012.
Ronneby is located in the middle of Blekinge with Karlskrona and
Karlshamn only 20 minutes away by car, train or bus.
The Conference will be organized at the Ronneby Brunn Hotel

The Ministry of Economics, Construction and Tourism MecklenburgVorpommern together with the German Contact Point is currently
organising the next FLC seminar planned for the 7 May 2012
in Rostock. Project Partners and First Level Controllers esp. from the
7th Call should reserve this date in their calendars. Invitations to the
seminar will be sent to all Project Partners from Germany and their First
Level Controllers in due time. The JTS will participate in the seminar to
present the Reporting System in the South Baltic Programme.

New website for the Strategy just launched!

During the 3rd Working Meeting in Vilnius
(21-22 March 2012) more than 100 participants discussed on the future of the EU
Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region and the possibilities to integrate
it for the next programming period in the operational programmes
of the countries around the Baltic.
At the same time the new website has been launched and communicated to the involved parties.

The Steering and Monitoring Committees of the
South Baltic Programme will meet on 18-19 April
2012 in Rønne, Denmark
The Steering Committee will decide on the approval of the projects
submitted within the 8th Call for Proposals. The 8th Call for Proposals was opened from 28 October 2011 till 16 December 2011.
The 5 application forms were submitted to compete for the remaining
1, 7 M EUR ERDF of the Programme.

The new team member at the Joint Technical Secretariat
Agnieszka B∏a˝ewicz has joined the JTS team, as the new Communication and Information Manager. Agnieszka has professional background in the internet marketing management, creating marketing strategies for websites, promotion,
using of social media in communication as well as organising conferences, meetings and exhibitions.
Agnieszka has taken over from Dominika Butkiewicz, who has been fulfilling the Project Manager role at the South

r 4 regional oversize strategies developed covering oversize
transportation corridors and one stop shop legislation procedure system implementation;

Consortium of the 9 partners from Lithuania, Poland, Sweden
and Germany has made South Baltic region more open for oversize goods in terms of transit, alternative energy projects development and efficiency of industrial and construction investments.
OTIN - Oversize Transport Information Network
The OTIN system is a result of an international project “Oversize Baltic” initiated by Klaipeda Science and Technology Park.
During two years project time nine partners from Lithuania,
Poland, Sweden and Germany aimed to improve the quality of
oversize cargo transportation services and large freight functional (operational) compatibility in the South Baltic region.
The OTIN system is designed to help transport companies to
get information about oversize cargo transportation and how to
obtain the necessary permits. The system is adjusted to the
existing systems in Sweden, Germany, Poland and Lithuania,
thus significantly improving the accessibility of permits issuing
services in the South Baltic Sea region.
Why is the OTIN handy?
Administrational difficulties are a frequent obstacle to oversize
cargo carriers. Countries of the South Baltic region regulate
procedures of oversize cargo transportation in different ways.
Different languages and legal acts create many obstacles for
quick and fluent transportation of cargo. “Time is money” say
the carriers of cargo. When time is wasted, business can suffer
a big financial loss. The OTIN system is a solution to these
problems providing free services, which help to save your time
and money.
