W dn. 21-27 maja 2014r. uczniowie klas szóstych SP i klas pierwszych Gim wzięli udział w 7-dniowej
wycieczce do Londynu. Każdy z uczestników wyjazdu mieszkał w tym czasie u rodzin angielskich.
Głównym celem wyjazdu było poszerzenie wiedzy na temat kultury brytyjskiej, zainteresowanie uczniów
kulturą innego kraju oraz szlifowanie umiejętności językowych, przede wszystkim komunikowania się w
języku angielskim. W czasie pobytu w Anglii, nasi uczniowie m. in.:
- podziwiali kolekcję zbroi, broni, klejnotów oraz insygnia koronacyjne w twierdzy Tower of London,
- zobaczyli zmianę warty przy zamku Windsor,
- posłuchali legend o krukach żyjących w londyńskiej twierdzy Tower of London,
- zobaczyli jeden z najbardziej znanych kościołów anglikańskich w Wielkiej Brytanii &ndash; St
Paul&rsquo;s Cathedral,
- zrobili sobie zdjęcia z najznakomitszymi osobistościami całego świata w słynnym Muzeum Figur
Woskowych Madame Tussaud&rsquo;s,
- posłuchali brytyjskiego przewodnika, który przybliżył im historię szekspirowskiego teatru the Globe,
- odwiedzili Natural History Museum i podziwiali tysiące eksponatów (m. in. dinozaurów),
- zobaczyli pokaz tańca w ogrodach zamku Hampton Court,
- zwiedzili kuchnię i jadalnię Henryka VIII,
- zobaczyli wspaniałe Opactwo Westminster &ndash; miejsce koronacji królów Anglii, a także ich
pochówku,
- podziwiali eksponaty British Museum,
- posłuchali ciekawostek dotyczących historii Anglii (absorbujące historie naszego polskiego przewodnika
w Londynie),
- zwiedzili kampus studenckiego miasteczka Cambridge,
- zobaczyli wspaniały Buckingham Palace,
- zrobili zakupy na słynnej Oxford Street,
- spacerowali po słynnym parku St James,
- podziwiali panoramę Londynu z kapsuł London Eye (podróż &bdquo;Okiem Londynu&rdquo;),
- uczestniczyli w przejażdżce londyńskim metrem.

Wycieczka do Londynu była dla uczniów niezapomnianą okazją do poznania obyczajów, kultury i
dziedzictwa narodowego Anglii, a także doskonałą szansą na sprawdzenie swoich językowych
umiejętności w życiu codziennym tzn. podczas pobytu u rodzin angielskich czy zwiedzania miasta.
W imieniu swoim, jak i pozostałych opiekunów wyjazdu, już teraz serdecznie zapraszam wszystkich
uczniów do wzięcia udziału w wycieczce do Londynu w przyszłym roku szkolnym.

On Tuesday, 21st May 2014, all the participants of London trip gathered at school in Bielany
Wrocławskie. We were all very excited! It was a week-long trip to London! When we got into the coach,
our great trip started. We were travelling through Germany, France, Belgium, Holland and England for
about 20 hours! The trip was very enjoyable because we were travelling with Sindbad Company (the best
bus company ever). In France, we entered the Channel Tunnel and arrived to England at about 9:00 a.m.
After getting off the bus in Westminster, we went for a walk to the park. Then, we saw St Paul&rsquo;s
Cathedral and went to the Parliament (on our way we saw the famous Big Ben). That day, we also visited
Museum of Natural History. There were dinosaurs and all the species of creatures that you all could
possibly imagine!!! It was incredible to see all these things with our own eyes! Here, we spent about two
hours. Then, we took the London underground and arrived to the meeting point. Here, we met our
English families. I lived in a room with my four classmates. We ate dinner together and soon went to bed
as we were very tired after a long trip and sightseeing. On the second day, we got into our bus and went
to see Cambridge &ndash; one of the most famous studying city in England. Here, all the members of the
royal family are obliged to study. We saw a beautiful Cambridge Campus and the famous Cambridge
College. That day, we also had some free time for shopping. Then, we came back to our families for a
dinner. On the third day, we went to Windsor Castle where there was the seat of the oldest Order of the
Garter. Afterwards, we went to Hampton Court and toured the 16th century palace complex. We admired
some stunning Henry VIII&rsquo;s gardens and the labyrinth. In the evening, we came back to our
English homes. On the fourth day, our tour continued. We visited Westminster Abbey as the place of
coronation of English kings since 1066 and then we went to Madame Tussaud&rsquo;s Wax Museum. It
was the place, I liked the most about the trip! I took some amazing photos with Merlin Monroe and
James Bond and many other famous figures! That was really cool! Afterwards, we saw the Tower Bridge
and walked along the China Town district and the Oxford Street &ndash; the most famous shopping
street in London. The most popular store I have visited, was Primark. We did some shopping here. The
store was really huge! On the fifth day, we left our English families and packed our things. After dropping
our luggages off the bus, we went to central London to see the Globe Theathre &ndash; the great
Shakespear&rsquo;s theatre. We saw an amazing wooden construction and the stage. Here, we had an
English-speaking guide who told us about the history of the place and the actors who play their roles
here till now. In the end, we went to the London Eye. It was a great experience! The entire London Eye
trip lasts 30 minutes and gives the tourist an opportunity to take some wonderful photos of the
city&rsquo;s view. Finally, we left England at about 3 p.m. The journey was long, but we arrived safely to
Poland next day at 10.00 a.m. I loved my stay in England and I hope that next year I will have a chance
to go there one more time. The city of London is really amazing! I recommend such a school trip to
everyone who wants to practise English, see and experience something incredible!
