Szanowni Państwo / Dear Readers
W działalności statutowej Narodowego Instytutu Muzealnictwa i Ochrony Zbiorów, a także w wieloletniej praktyce
wydawniczej rocznika „Muzealnictwo” niezmiernie istotną
rolę odgrywały i odgrywają prace o charakterze koncepcyjnym, programotwórczym, w swej strategicznej perspektywie inspirujące całe muzealne środowisko.
Takim perspektywicznym, programotwórczym wyzwaniem stojącym przed Instytutem, były i są prace nad długookresową strategią rozwoju muzealnictwa, znane środowisku muzealnemu przede wszystkim dzięki „wędrującej”
debacie, która począwszy od roku 2011 pod hasłem „Czas
muzeów” odbywała się w różnych miastach Polski. Spotkania, publiczne dyskusje, konferencje i seminaria zostały
trwale udokumentowane na łamach „Biuletynu Programowego NIMOZ”. Warto sięgać do tych rozważań, w których
wzięli udział przedstawiciele niemal wszystkich środowisk
muzealnych, specjaliści różnych dziedzin, naukowcy, przedstawiciele administracji publicznej. Jednym z największych
osiągnięć prac programowych prowadzonych pod patronatem Instytutu, obok znaczącego dorobku intelektualnego,
stało się zaktywizowanie społeczności i środowisk lokalnych, a w szczególności dotarcie do struktur samorządowych i zachęcenie ich do współpracy nad rozwojem kultury
pamięci, w takim zwłaszcza zakresie, w jakim odnosi się
ona do instytucji muzealnych.
Sformułowane w trakcie publicznych spotkań tezy i rekomendacje stały się jednym ze źródeł inspiracji I Kongresu Muzealników Polskich, który odbędzie się w kwietniu
tego roku w Łodzi. To znaczące wydarzenie, wywołujące
wiele oczekiwań w polskim środowisku muzealnym, nie
może zostać niezauważone przez rocznik „Muzealnictwo”,
który zawsze w historycznych momentach towarzyszył
środowisku muzealnemu, na przykład w pełnych nadziei
dniach warszawskiego Kongresu Kultury Polskiej, brutalnie
przerwanego wprowadzeniem stanu wojennego w grudniu
1981 roku, a także w uroczystych a zarazem tętniących od
demokratycznych debat obradach krakowskiego Kongresu
Kultury Polskiej w roku 2009. Dlatego też w tegorocznym
numerze „Muzealnictwa” znajdą Państwo niejeden tekst
zainspirowany atmosferą przedkongresowych dyskusji,
podnoszący zagadnienia szczególnie dla całego sektora
muzealnego istotne.
Both in the statutory activity of the National Institute
for Museums and Public Collections and the long-term
experience of publishing the Muzealnictwo Annual, an
especially important role is played by the conceptual
works which inspire the whole museum environment.
One such long-term and conceptual challenge for the
Institute was the work on a long-term strategy for the
development of museology, familiar to the museum environment principally thanks to the ‘wandering’ debate
which, under the title ‘Time of museums’, has been
taking place in various Polish cities since 2011. Meetings, public discussions, conferences and seminars
have been documented on the pages of the “NIMOZ
Programme Bulletin”. It is worth referring to those
considerations in which representatives of almost all
museum environments, specialists in different fields,
scientists, and representatives of public administration
participated. One of the most remarkable achievements of the programme works carried out under the
auspices of the Institute, apart from the significant intellectual achievement, has been the activation of local
societies and in particular reaching local government
structures and encouraging them to work jointly on developing the culture of memory, especially in the field
of museum institutions.
The theses and recommendations formulated during public meetings have been a source of inspiration
for the First Congress of Polish Museologists which will
be held this year in April in Łódź. This historic event,
which has called forth great expectations in the Polish
museum environment, cannot remain unnoticed by the
Muzealnictwo Annual which has always accompanied
the museum environment in its historic moments, for
example during the hopeful days of the Warsaw Congress of Polish Culture which was brutally interrupted
by the introduction of martial law in 1981, as well as
during the solemn but democratic deliberations of the
Cracow Congress of Polish Culture in 2009. As a result,
this year’s issue of Muzealnictwo includes articles inspired by the pre-congress atmosphere of discussions
which raise issues of importance for the whole museum sector.
