Religious Education For Children:
CCD classes are held every Sunday from September through
April at 9:15 am. Classes are conducted in our school building.

Daily Monday to Saturday following the 7:00 am Mass.
Saturday afternoons at 3:30 pm.
Sacrament Of The Sick:
Sick Calls or other Emergency Calls should be made to the
rectory at any time. Arrangements can also be made for regular
visitations at home or hospital for Holy Communion and/or
Confession. We urge you to keep us aware of parishioners who
are ill in the hospital or at home.
Marriages:
Please make arrangements at least one year in advance.
Couples are urged to solemnize their vows at a Nuptial Mass.
Baptisms:
A required Baptismal Program for Parents is conducted at 1:00
pm on the second Sunday of the month in Polish and on the last
Sunday in English. The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated each
month on the First Sunday (in English) and on the Third Sunday
(in Polish.)
Novenas:
Every Tuesday Evening to Saint Anne following the 7:00 pm Mass.
Every Thursday Evening to Divine Mercy following the 7:00 pm

Interfaith Prayer Service
& Candlelight Vigil
On Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at
7:00 PM, the Bayonne
Remembers - September 11th Committee will host the
8th annual Interfaith Memorial Service & Candlelight
Vigil at the Harbor View Park at the Peninsula at
Bayonne Harbor. There will be Scripture reflection,
prayer, and music remembering all those who died on
Sept. 11, 2001 and the 1993 bombing of the World
Trade Center. All are welcome to attend.

St. Benildus Romancon
On the weekend of our Parish
Picnic, Spet. 13, 2009; our former
Pastor, Rev. Anthony Kulig, will
have the Papal Honor of “Prelate
of Honor” ( Monsignor of second
level) conferred upon him at
Sacred Heart Cathedral Basilica in Newark.
We wish Msgr. Anthony Kulig “God’s Blessings!”
A special Mass will be held in Msgr. Kulig’s honor
here at OLMC on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 5:30 PM.
A light reception will follow in the Parish Center.
All are welcome to come and congratulate
Msgr. Kulig.
The Church renovations are
moving along quite well.
The floor, pews, Sanctuary
steps, side entrances, and
most doors will be finished
by Sept. 1. (The front stairs
will require a few more weeks.
The granite is being custom cut.
As soon as it arrives, it will be installed.)
We have decided to move back into the church after
the Parish Picnic. The first Mass will be held on
Saturday, Sept. 19 at 5:30 PM.
There will be a formal dedication of the doors and
the blessing of the Pope John Paul II Shrine in
October.

Hudson Hospice Seeks
Volunteers.
Do you want to do volunteer work that
really makes a difference in the lives of
the terminally ill and their families?
Volunteer roles might include
companionship for the patients,
emotional support for patient and family, errands,
telephone reassurance and transportation. Our patients
are cared for in their homes. Volunteer hours are flexible
according to the needs of the patient/family and the
availability of the volunteer. Training takes place in
Jersey City, but volunteer opportunities are throughout
Hudson County.

GRATULUJEMY
Z radością pragniemy poinformować, że Ojciec
Święty Benedykt XVI na prośbę Arcybiskupa
Meyersa nadał tytuł Prałata Honorowego ks.
Antoniemu Kulig. Ceremonia nadania odbędzie
się 13 września w katedrze w Newarku.
Składamy serdeczne gratulacje i życzenia
Bożego błogosławieństwa.
Mszę św. dziękczynną będzie sprawował Ks.
Prałat Kulig w naszej parafii, w sobotę 26
września o 5.30 PM.
Po Mszy św. Zapraszamy na skoromny
poczęstunek do Centrum Parafialnego.
Możemy zaobserwować, że prace przy renowacji
naszego kościoła idą dość dobrze. Prace przy
podłodze, ławki, stopnie prezbiterium, boczne
drzwi i większość głównych drzwi zostaną
zakończone do 1 września. Prace przy głównych
schodach potrwają jeszcze kilka tygodni, gdyż
czekamy na dostarczenie zamówionego granitu.
Powrót do naszej świątyni planowany jest po
parafialnym pikniku. Pierwsza Msza św. zostanie
odprawiona w sobotę, 19 września o 5:00 PM,
poświęcenie drzwi i pomnika Jana Pawła II
odbędzie się w październiku.
Pragniemy jeszcze raz wyrazić naszą wdzięczność
wszystkim, którzy od stycznia regularnie

Postawy i gesty w liturgii
Pokłon (inklinacja od łac. inclino - skłaniam się)
bardzo często stosowany jest w liturgiach
wschodnich. Uważa się go tam za zwyczajny znak
głębokiego szacunku i uwielbienia. W liturgii
rzymskiej natomiast pokłon jest znakiem zarówno
głębokiego szacunku, jak również usposobienia
pokutnego, szczególnie wtedy, gdy ma on związek z
prośbą o oczyszczenie z grzechów (w sakramencie
pokuty, spowiedzi powszechnej, przy akcie pokuty
we Mszy św. itp.)
Skłon głowy lub ciała symbolizuje cześć i błaganie.
W liturgii rzymskiej pokłon często zastępowany jest
przyklęknięciem. Pokłonem ciała pozdrawia się
ołtarz, krzyż, innych liturgów, zwłaszcza celebransa,
gdy na przykład diakon prosi go o błogosławieństwo
(wypowiada słowa: "pobłogosław mnie ojcze") i gdy
je otrzymuje.
Skłaniamy głowę, gdy wypowiadamy razem imiona
Trzech Osób Trójcy Świętej, gdy wypowiadamy
imię: Jezus, Maryja, świętego, którego przypada
wspomnienie, święto lub uroczystość.
Skłon ciała (ukłon głęboki) - przy tym pokłonie
zginamy głęboko głowę i ramiona. To również jest
znak czci i uwielbienia. Jeśli w jakimś kościele nie
jest przechowywany Najświętszy Sakrament (nie ma
"wiecznej lampki"), wtedy skłaniamy ciało przed
głównym ołtarzem, paschałem albo przed krzyżem.
Po procesji wejścia kapłan, diakon i asystujący
wykonują głęboki skłon w stronę ołtarza. Ponadto
kapłan czyni głęboki ukłon przed ołtarzem gdy:
• podczas wypowiadania modlitw: Wszechmogący
Boże, Przyjmij nas Panie w duchu pokory...
• w Kanonie Rzymskim na słowa: Pokornie Cię
błagamy
• podczas wypowiadania słów konsekracji (jako że
sę to słowa samego Chrystusa): "Bierzcie i
jedzcie...bierzcie i pijcie”
Ponadto skłon głowy wykonują wszyscy (kapłan i
wierni) w czasie Wyznania Wiary na słowa: "I za
sprawą Ducha Świętego przyjął ciało z Maryi
Dziewicy i stał się człowiekiem". Jest to nasz wyraz
uczczenia tajemnicy Wcielenia.
