The course consists of 8 training days (4 weekends), lasting for 8h per day, which corresponds to 64 hours of training Location Warsaw, venue depends on the number of participants. Detailed information will be provided by our Officer Group size: 5 - 14 participants are expected Study program The content of the course prepares participants to the carefully selected, major issues from the „Candidate Body of Knowledge”, the document created by the CFA Institute and a team of experienced CFA charterholders, which covers the topic areas that every candidate taking a CFA® exam should master. The list of the topics covered at the 4CFA -Spring 2012 stationary course in comparison with the requirements of the CFA Institute for the „Level 1” exam is enclosed at the end of this document as an Appendix. Working methods •After enrolling for the course we provide (about 1-2 weeks before each topic area) a list of REQUIRED study materials (from CFA® Curriculum or other sources), which ought to be read before the training session analytical-calculational skills, supporting it with only small doses of digestible theory and we concentrate on the most problematic issues. Purely theoretical issues are left for participants to study individually at home •After enrolment, every student gets an access to our closed web-area, where they can find additional materials and exchange information with other students or with instructors via online Forum. We are convinced that it helps to prepare better the CFA Charter candidates. •At the end of the course participant gets a certificate of completing CFA Course (in English) •There is a possibility to receive a VAT invoice (23%); the required data must be provided at the time of enrolment Costs 2390 PLN (net) •Each meeting begins with a short (60-120 minutes) theoretical introduction Discounts •The majority of the session time is then spent on solving practical tasks (altogether around 500). The instructor extends them with the so called „case studies” and makes the participants aware of the details and nuances. Instructor in: Portfolio Management and Wealth Planning. Krzysztof Cesarz: Sebastian Liński, CIIA: Licensed Investment Advisor (licence no 319), passed „Level 2” exam of CFA in June 2011. Graduate of the Poznan University of Economics. He started his career in 2007 in the Department of Investment Products in a bank. Since 2008, he has been working in IPOPEMA TFI S.A. as an Analyst in the Department of Asset Management. Member of a fund management team in: selective, aggressive and stable growth strategies. Instructor in: Fixed Income Analysis Michał Cichosz, CFA: Graduate of the Poznan University of Economics in Investment and Corporate Financial Strategies. His professional career started in 2005 in BZWBK Brokerage House, where he worked as a Fundamental Analyst. In years 2008-2010 he managed investment share portfolios in Aviva Investors Poland. Since the beginning of 2011, he has been employed in Skarbiec TFI as a Manager of Equity Funds investing in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. Michał Chawryło: Completed Level III of the Chartered Financial Analyst Program and is now awaiting official recognition as a CFA charterholder. Graduate of Warsaw School of Economics in Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems, and in Finance and Banking. He also studied at the University in Lund (Switzerland). Since 2007 he has been connected with the capital market, initially as a member of the team managing OFE AXA share portfolio. Currently he is working as an Investment Analyst in the private equity fund in ARX Equity Partners, where he is engaged in monitoring portfolio of companies, Licensed Investment Advisor (license no. 357 acquired in March 2011) and a certified SAS Statistical Analyst. Graduate of Warsaw School of Economics in Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems, specialising in Econometrics. In years 2009 - 2010 he was a Consultant in an international strategic consulting company. Since June he has been working as an Equity Analyst in the equity strategy team at AXA TFI.
