Preface
This volume of Acta Polonica A includes contributions presented during the
26th Polish Seminar on Positron Annihilation held from 11 to 16 September 1994
at Pokrzywna.
The meeting was a continuation of the conferences on positron annihilation
inaugurated in 1966 (Stok Izerski) by the Institute of Experimental Physics of
Wroclaw University. The seminar covers the research fields related to phenomena
of annihilation of low-energy positrons, basic and applied ones.
Fifty Seven scientists from Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, USA and Poland attended the conference.
Twenty nine lectures and thirty three posters were presented.
We would like to offer our cordial thanks to all the participants as well as
the authors of contributed papers for their kind and willing cooperation in making
the publication of this volume possible. We are also indebted very much to the
referees, who took their time to review the manuscripts for this volume.
