Streszczenie rozprawy doktorskiej Imię i nazwisko autora rozprawy: Rafał Głębocki Tytuł naukowy oraz imię i nazwisko promotora rozprawy: Prof. dr hab. inż. Włodzimierz Gogołek Tytuł rozprawy: Model kształcenia informatycznego w szkołach ponadgimnazjalnych w społeczeństwie sieci Wyrażenia kluczowe: cybernetyczny model kształcenia, cyfrowi tubylcy, internet, kluczowa kompetencja – umiejętność uczenia się, media cyfrowe, metoda eksperymentu pedagogicznego, metoda projektu edukacyjnego, nowa kultura uczenia się, personalizacja, procesy kształcenia, samoocena, społeczeństwo sieci, środowisko uczenia się, TIK – technologie informacyjno-komunikacyjne, współpraca (praca zespołowa). Streszczenie Niestabilna i zmienna rzeczywistość (płynna nowoczesność) globalnych środowisk – współczesnych społeczeństw sieci, powinna implikować dostosowania w systemach kształcenia. Wnioski i zalecenia wynikające z badania – poddane analizie w podsumowaniu pracy – mogą posłużyć wspieraniu procesów kształcenia kluczowej kompetencji: umiejętności uczenia się w społeczeństwie sieci. 2 Summary of the Ph.D. Thesis Name of the author of the thesis: Rafał Głębocki Academic title of the doctoral supervisor of the thesis: Prof. dr hab. inż. Włodzimierz Gogołek The title of the thesis: The Model of Information Technology Education in Upper Secondary Schools in the Network Society Keyword phrases: collaboration (cooperation – team work), cybernetic model of education, digital media, digital natives, educational processes, ICT – information and communication technology, internet, key learning competence, learning environment, new culture of learning, network society, pedagogical experiment method, personalization, project method, self-evaluation. Summary The unstable and fast-changing reality (liquid modernity) of global environments – contemporary network societies, should imply adjustments in educational systems. The system that has commonly been used so far, which can be described as a “transmission” model, does not seem to address challenges that nowadays students – digital natives – will have to cope with. For instance, it obviously lacks in such scope as: 1 – a structural connection between digital media usage, especially of the internet, and the social way of knowledge building (collaboration), 2 – the use of ICT that features context of the students’ educational needs (personalization), and 3 – making students more active in order to increase their consciousness of learning competence (selfevaluation). The above mentioned statements – that have been broadened in the introduction of the dissertation and discussed in detail in five chapters – determined the assumption of the thesis aim, which is: elaboration of the “Edu-Net” model of education that supports the key learning competence in the network society, upon an example of information technology teaching in upper secondary schools, and a demonstration of the influence of the model on selected educational processes. 3 Making of the model prototype has been the consequence of a thorough analysis of information sources that concern the subject matter. It was based on desk research – a mutation of the Delphi Method. The protomodel included: the field of educational factors: collaboration (cooperation – team work), self-evaluation and personalization, the field of specialist skills: contextual usage of information and communication technology – digital media, elements of an educational process – embraced in an activating form of: a pedagogical formula – a new culture of learning, an area of educational processes realization – learning environment, a didactic method – the project method. The assumed research hypotheses have been proved as a result of the pedagogical experiment that was carried out by a parallel group method. The aim of the research has been achieved: the prototype of the “Edu-Net” model has been positively verified, the final “Edu-Net” model has been presented. The model is of shell-like structure, which means that it can be adjusted to the needs and expectations of an educational process participants. The model can undergo improvements. An example of such activity is the elaboration of the model in the form of the cybernetic model of education. The outcome of the research – the findings have been dealt with in relation to the hypotheses – is an indication of the influence of the “Edu-Net” model upon selected educational processes. It has been done by seeing from the angle of a notion triad: the concept of “tinkering” – learning with the usage of information and communication technology, the principle: teach less – learn more, the idea of a bottom-up support of educational processes in the network society. Conclusions and recommendations that arise from the research – they have been subject of analysis in the summing up chapter of the thesis – may serve as a support of educational processes of key learning competence in the network society. They are, among others: making school environments more eager to participate in the research by the pedagogical experiment method and including educational factors that support the so called soft skills – into educational processes. An introduction of a new culture of learning in the learning environment of the contemporary school with the usage of ICT may also be a recommendation. It may include an application of activating methods of teaching and learning and an increase in qualitative ways of assessment. 4
