Press Release - Introducing Agaf Design to the UK
The Agaf Design brand was launched in Poland less than a year ago under the banner “fun loving
function”. Its aim is to provide innovative, quality, practical ceramic designs suitable for every day
use and at affordable prices.
The works have been extremely well received by the Polish media with extensive coverage in
mainstream magazines such as Usta, Label, Dobre Wnętrz, Cztery Kąty and Priv while her studio
has been listed by the prestigious Organij Miasto alternative guide book.
Online articles have also been written by some of the most well known design portals including
Domesfera, homify and example.pl while concept pieces have been requested for exhibition in
Warsaw, Gdansk, Berlin and Lublin.
Agnieszka Fornalewska is the creative mind behind Agaf Design and has been named by Label
Magazine as one of “50 Polish Designers you should know” for “talent, passion and courage of
creation”. She is the only ceramic designer to make an appearance in the list.
Agnieszka spent over a decade working in the London design field for companies such as Design
House in Camden Town and the Department of Trade and Industry in Victoria as well as carrying
out her own projects in Britain and Poland.
“Things have moved extremely fast with Agaf Design” says Agnieszka. “My first product for the
wider market has been available for barely six months but it is already being sold by design leading
shops such as Nap in Warsaw and Artemia in Gdansk.”
“There are a vast array of new projects in the pipeline at the studio” she continues. “But right now
I'm looking at bringing my current portfolio to the UK and I'll be starting this at Tent London in
September”.
