Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time
October 25, 2015
Dear Parishioners,
We celebrate the Feast of All Saints and All Souls, next Sunday and Monday, November 1 and
November 2.
On The Feast of All Saints, we remember the women and men who lived exemplary lives of faith
and sacrifice. Through the grace of God some gave their lives, like our patron St. John Brebeuf,
one of the North American Martyrs. Many millions more, although not officially recognized by the
church were saints in their own right. Our relatives and friends, co-workers and neighbors, who
despite their faults and weaknesses, (as Pope Francis pointed out when addressing the U.S. Congress) strive each day to do the right thing. They do an honest day's work to bring home their daily
bread, to save money and—one step at a time—to build a better life for their families.”
Yes, those simple daily tasks build up the Body of Christ, the Church. Never feel your life does not
matter; your kind words and good deeds are saintly! They lead others to a deeper conversion.
Thank you for your witness!
On Sunday evening, November 1st, at the 6 p.m. Mass, we will pray for All the Souls of the Faithful Departed. In a special way, we will remember all those who died from our parish over the past
year. Please be sure to attend this special mass of remembrance.
Monday, November 2, our All Soul's Masses will continue with Mass at 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
and 7 p.m. Mass in the Polish Language. All through the month of November we continue to pray
for all the deceased.
Eternal Rest Grant unto them O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and
all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.

ATTENTION ALL EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS & MINISTERS OF

of St. Mary of the Lake who will provide us with an interactive and dynamic presentation. Light refreshments will be provided. The evening will close with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament in the church around 8:30pm. It is an expectation
that all ministers attend at least (1) formation meeting per calendar year (either
spring or fall) in order to continue in ministry. Please plan accordingly. Any questions or concerns please contact Deacon Mariusz Kosla—Coordinator of Eucharistic Ministry through the parish office or via email at [email protected]

PERPETUAL
EUCHARISTIC
ADORATION
Christ's followers were
skeptical when He preached
the reality of His Body and
Blood as food and drink. St.
John said, "many of His disciples withdrew and no longer
went about with Him."
Seeing this, Jesus asked the Twelve, "Do
you also want to leave me?" Simon Peter did
not understand any more than those who left
Christ, but his loyalty was more firm. "Lord,"
he said, "to whom shall we go? You have
the words of eternal life."
We have the "Word of Eternal Life"
right here with us day and night in our
Adoration Chapel. Do you have something
you want to ask Him? There are several
hours needing adorers. Please pick one for
your personal hour with Him.

Catechists Needed!
Have you ever thought about being a Catechist, but have never given it a
try? Have you been a Catechist and have decided you want to do it again?
Do you love your faith and want to share it with others? We have the
answer for you!
Our Religious Education program (CCD) is seeking enthusiastic people who want to set
younger hearts on fire with the love of God by sharing their faith. We are in need of
Catechists on Wednesday (grade 5th) and Thursday (grade 8th) evenings. Classes on
Wednesdays are held from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. and Thursday classes are held from 6:30 –
8:00 p.m.
For those who may not be able to commit to every week but would still like to be a catechist, we are also in need of substitutes throughout the year.
Please pray and see if God is calling you to be part of this very important and rewarding
ministry.

Drodzy Parafianie,
W następną niedzielę i poniedziałek, 1 listopada i 2 listopada będziemy obchodzić Święta
Wszystkich Świętych i Zaduszki.
W uroczystość Wszystkich Świętych wspominamy wszystkie kobiety i mężczyzn, którzy
prowadzili przykładne życie wiary i poświęcenia.
Nasi krewni i
przyjaciele, współpracownicy i sąsiedzi, którzy mimo swoich wad i słabości, (jak wskazał papież
Franciszek podczas przemówienia do Kongresu USA) starali się każdego dnia, aby zrobić dobry
uczynek. Spędzają oni uczciwie dzień pracy, aby przynieść do domu chleb codzienny, aby
Prowadzą innych do głębszego
Wieczny odpoczynek racz im dać Panie, a światłość wiekuista niechaj im świeci. Niech ich
dusze i wszystkie dusze wiernych zmarłych spoczywa w pokoju.
