Ground Anchor Warnings and Installation Version 1.1 Congratulations on the purchase of your new SpringfreeTM Trampoline Ground Anchors. Before you assemble your new accessory, read and understand all of the Warnings, Notes and Installation and Placement Instructions. If you have any questions, please contact your local Springfree Trampoline customer service department. WARNING: READ THESE ALL OF MATERIALS PRIOR TO ASSEMBLING AND USING THE SPRINGFREE GROUND ANCHORS. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN DEATH, SERIOUS INJURY, AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THIS PRODUCT UNLESS THE INSTRUCTIONS WITHIN THIS MANUAL HAVE BEEN CAREFULLY READ AND UNDERSTOOD. 1. The Springfree Ground Anchor is only for use on SpringfreeTM Trampolines. 2. Before installing for the Ground Anchor, check for underground power, gas, telephone, water, and other utility lines and pipes. Failure to do so could result in serious or fatal injury. 3. If you have rocky terrain or are unable to install the pegs to their full depth, you must find an alternative method for securing your trampoline. The SpringfreeTM Trampoline Ground Anchors cannot be relied upon to secure your trampoline if they are not fully and properly installed. 4. To prevent tripping, stubbing your toe, or damage to the trampoline, ensure the pegs are installed to their full depth. We also suggest marking the location of your ground anchors in the event that landscaping or long grass hides the top of the anchors. 5. When mowing the lawn, take extra precaution around the Ground Anchors. 6. Periodically inspect the Ground Anchors to ensure they are secure as soil conditions may change over time. 7. Read and follow all warnings and instructions. SEVERE WEATHER WARNING Trampolines and severe weather don’t mix well. SpringfreeTM Trampoline has the industry’s highest weight to area ratio. However, in extreme wind conditions, the large surface area of the mat can capture enough wind energy to result in the trampoline being lifted from its installation location. This issue is compounded when either the Springfree All Weather Cover or the Springfree FlexrShadeTM is installed. If you anticipate severe weather, the trampoline should be moved to a sheltered location or disassembled. SpringfreeTM Trampoline is not responsible for any damages caused because of unforeseen soil conditions or by acts of nature or for any trampoline or trampolines accessory that blows away. Properly anchoring the trampoline and any attached accessories is the responsibility of the consumer. NOTE: For oval and round trampolines, we suggest positioning the anchors at either side of the trampoline. For square trampolines, place the anchors on opposite corners. For the SF80/ S155 model, 4 anchors are required. 2 ANCHOR PLATES 8 ANCHOR PEGS WARNING: BEFORE INSTALLING FOR THE GROUND ANCHOR, CHECK FOR UNDERGROUND POWER, GAS, TELEPHONE, WATER, AND OTHER UTILITY LINES AND PIPES. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURY. STEP 2: INSERTING THE PEGS STEP 3: PREPARING THE ANCHOR Use a rubber mallet to hammer the pegs into the ground. We recommend alternating between a front peg and a back peg during installation to ensure the anchor is tight against the leg. NOTE: Soil types vary. In order to install the anchor pegs in hard soils, you may need to wet the ground beforehand. Ensure all of the pegs are installed to their full depth. We also suggest marking the location of your ground anchors in the event that landscaping or long grass hides the top of the anchors.
