1. Szkolenie "Research 2013" - wyzwania profesjonalizacji zarządzania projektami badawczorozwojowymi w jednostkach naukowych, Kraków, 19 lutego 2013
Do udziału w Konferencji RESEARCH 2013 zaproszeni zostali przedstawiciele świata nauki i biznesu.
Spotkanie to poświęcone zostanie roli managera i biura wsparcia badań w zarządzaniu projektami badawczymi.
Wystąpienia ekspertów i dyskusje w gronie uczestników pozwolą poruszyć szereg najistotniejszych kwestii,

2. Katedry europejskiej przestrzeni badawczej (ERA Chairs) – szkolenie, Poznań, 25 lutego 2013
Regionalny Punkt Kontaktowy Programów Ramowych UE w Poznaniu zaprasza do udziału w szkoleniu
dotyczącym pilotażowego konkursu Komisji Europejskiej – Katedry Europejskiej Przestrzeni Badawczej (ERA
Chairs). Szkolenie odbędzie się w dniu 25 lutego 2013.
Celem konkursu jest wspomożenie wysiłków uniwersytetów oraz instytucji badawczych zmierzających do
osiągnięcia doskonałości naukowej niezbędnej do konkurowania na poziomie międzynarodowym. Instytucje
zlokalizowane w słabiej rozwiniętych regionach europejskich będą mogły starać się grant w maksymalnej
wysokości 2,4 miliona euro. Podczas szkolenia dowiedzą się Państwo jak napisać dobry wniosek projektowy, na
co należy zwrócić szczególną uwagę, aby uzyskał on wysoką ocenę ekspertów Komisji Europejskiej.

3. Komisja Europejska poszukuje ekspertów do Advisory Groups w programie Horyzont 2020, do
06.03.2013
We would like to inform you that the call for expression of interest for the selection of experts for Horizon 2020
advisory groups has been launched. Experts can register their interest through the dedicated webpage on the
Horizon 2020 website at the following link: http://ec.europa.eu/research/horizon2020/index_en.cfm?pg=h2020experts. More detailed information is provided there (e.g. full call text, guidance on how to register…).

One of the areas where the expertise is called is linked to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions on skills, training
and career development.
As noted in the full text of expression of interest:
'Any potential expert can express his or her interest, but please note that the Horizon 2020 Advisory Groups are
expected to have a predominance of experts coming from the Member States of the European Union and
Associated Countries'.
And also:
Participation in the groups will not be compatible with:
- Assisting the Commission in evaluating proposals and monitoring projects, in the implementation of
activities in the specific areas of research, innovation and technological development covered by the
Advisory Group in question;
- Acting as Member State delegates/representatives or experts/advisers accompanying Member States
delegates/representatives, or Associated State observers, in the Programme Committee assisting the
Commission.
Please note that this is an open call to be used throughout Horizon 2020. Experts can register at any time;
however only candidates having registered no later than Wednesday 6 March 2013 at 17,00.00, Brussels local
time, will be taken into account for the setting up of the first Horizon 2020 Advisory Groups. Registrations
received after this date may be considered for the replacement of resigning experts and the overall renewal of the
Advisory Groups at the end of each mandate.
4. ECLAP 2013 - Conference on Information Technologies for Performing Arts, Media Access and
Entertainment, Porto (Portugalia), 8-10 kwietnia 2013
This event is organised by ECLAP, a Best Practice Network that aims to create a network of experts and media
access service for performing arts institutions in Europe, along with an e-library for the performing arts. A call
for papers has been launched (deadline: 31 January).

The ECLAP 2013 conference is open to researchers, professionals, industries, institutions, technicians, and
practitioners in the area of performing arts and information technologies, media entertainment, technology
enhanced learning, intelligent media systems, acoustic systems, cultural heritage, open data, content
management, semantic models, metadata standards, and many others. The ECLAP conference aims to create a
forum in which progress-oriented individuals and institutions within the aforementioned professions can find a
place to collaborate and present results. We cordially invite all interested groups and individuals to submit
proposals for sessions within the event, sessions, papers, posters and exhibitions. Each exhibition session offers
space (booths and tables) to host demonstrators. Demo and poster sessions will also be organized.
5. The 1st International Conference on Internet Science, Bruksela (Belgia), 10-11 kwietnia 2013
This is a multidisciplinary conference combining Computer Science, Sociology, Art, Mathematics, Physics,
Complex systems analysis, Psychology, Economics, Law, Political Science, Epistemology and other relevant
disciplines. The conference aims to foster a dialogue among scholars and practitioners belonging to these
disciplines. A call for papers has been launched (deadline: 15 February).

6. Konferencja „ImagineNano 2013”, Bilbao (Hiszpania), 23-26 kwietnia 2013
Bilbao (Spain) will host the 2nd edition of the largest European Event in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology,
ImagineNano, from 23-26 April 2013 at Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC).
Following the overwhelming success of ImagineNano 2011, several conferences will be held in parallel in a new
infrastructure, as well as a vast exhibition, one-to-one meetings and an industrial forum where everyone can
meet and greet Nanotechnology side by side.

ImagineNano will thus gather the global nanotechnology community, including researchers, industry
policymakers and investors.

A limited number of graduate grants are available to allow students performing graduate work to present a
poster at the upcoming ImagineNano event. These four days event will feature talks addressing all fields of
science, engineering and technology at the nanoscale.
To be eligible, students must be actively pursuing a PhD degree and must be in good standing with their
department. To apply for grants you have to submit a two-page abstract of the subject you will present in a poster

8. EuroNanoForum 2013, Dublin (Irlandia), 18-20 czerwca 2013
EuroNanoForum 2013 focuses on the commercialisation of nanotechnologies, exploiting its potential for new
applications and taking them further from enabling technologies to end products. It will also introduce the
industry to new innovations for growth opportunities.
With Horizon2020 beginning in 2014, the conference will also show how nanotechnologies fit into the new
structure within Europe’s key priority areas of excellent science, industrial leadership and tackling societal
challenges.

9. 21st European Biomass Conference and Exhibition, Kopenhaga (Dania), 3-7 lipca 2013
The Conference will discuss major issues for the biomass markets, in technical and business areas, from resource
assessment to market and policy developments, drawing on leading experiences from all over Europe and
worldwide. The event aims to encourage an international exchange of experience on policy, research and
development, manufacturing and installation, and to be a showcase for the latest technologies. The conference is
expanding its coverage on the growing issue of bioeconomy, a sector that has strong links to bioenergy where
Denmark became a leading country.

10. Możliwość bezpłatnego dostępu do infrastruktur solarnych w Hiszpanii, Francji, Szwajcarii, Włoszech
i Izraelu
Kilka europejskich infrastruktur solarnych oferuje możliwość prowadzenia badań BEZPŁATNIE, w ramach
projektu realizowanego w 7 Programie Ramowym UE.
Thanks to the European Commission and as part of the FP7 Capacities programme, the Solar Facilities for the
European Research Area project (SFERA) has been launched in 2009: http://sfera.sollab.eu/
The 'SFERA' Partners: CIEMAT, CNRS, PSI, WEIZMANN and ENEA will provide access to their state-of-theart high-flux solar research facilities, unique in Europe and in the world.

obok dostępu do najnowszych urządzeń badawczych, pokrywa wszystkie wydatki związane z podróżą, diety i
zakwaterowanie. Aby skorzystać z tej oferty należy przedstawić propozycję projektu badawczego z
wykorzystaniem instalacji w podanym niżej obszarze badań:
This opportunity is offered for high-quality research in the following areas:
- Solar thermal electricity generation: thermodynamic cycles, receivers, thermal storage, concentrating optics,
control algorithms, etc.
- Solar production of benign chemical energy carriers: H2, Syngas, etc.
- Cycles for chemical storage of solar energy: ZnO, etc.
- Solar water treatment: desalination, disinfection, detoxification
- Research in basic phenomena and nano-material production processes: fullerenes, C-nanotubes, ceramics, etc.
- Knowledge-based high-added-value material synthesis: ceramics, glass, etc.
- High-flux photochemistry and photo-physics
- Basic knowledge of materials behaviour and aging under extreme conditions
