GREETING
Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Automotive Cluster Ostdeutschland will host its annual
conference for the third time since its inception and is thus
pleased to be able to invite you to its “ACOD Conference
2010”, which will take place between Feb. 17 and 18, 2010
in Leipzig. Under the title “The Future of the Automotive Industry
from an International Perspective – Opportunities for Eastern
Germany”, prominent politicians, industry representatives and
scientists will be on hand to discuss a broad range of relevant
automotive topics.
The conference is supplemented by guided plant tours at local
OEMs and the Kunststoff-Zentrum Leipzig (Plastics Centre), an
accompanying exhibit, six specialized forums with individually
selectable presentations that focus on the ACOD Competence
Clusters, and a joint evening event.
The conference reflects the complex activities and objectives
of the ACOD. That includes in particular the bundling of
companies operating in the automobile sector, research
institutes, service providers, Eastern German associations and
initiatives as well as assuring the transfer of information and
knowledge within the network. By focusing on increasing the
innovative strength and operative capability of all participants
and generating the value added, ACOD has been supporting
Eastern Germany’s automobile industry in clearly displaying
its potential to the outside world since 2004. To this end, the
ACOD conference serves as a communication forum and
provides perspective to the future challenges, opportunities
and technological trends of the automobile industry.
We are certain that the invited speakers and the selected
topics will point out new perspectives for you and result in
fascinating discussions.
