Trainings in scope of ship design and
standardization
General description
Designers' trainings in the scope of the particular stages of ship design (conceptual design, contract design, technical design, workshop
design and final documentation) and standardization.
Series of trainings for designers in the theoretical and practical scope of design, including training for operation of different software,
e.g.: 2D programmes for design (AutoCAD or MicroStation), 3D programmes for hull and outfitting design (Napa, Nupas-Cadmatic
or familiar), programmes for construction calculations (Maestro, Nastran-Patran).
Student’s profile
The training is addressed to naval architects, students of technical and maritime universities.
Amount of attendants: according to the client's requirements.
Purpose and effects of trainings:
– improvement of design methods and staff development
– improvement of design skills on master level in carrying out of each stage of ship design
Scope of works:
Comprehensive staff training in the scope of ship design and ship standardization conducted in CTO S.A. or in Client's company
as well.
I. Ship design:
– theoretical part: lectures, exercises and practice, which aim is to distribute knowledge used in ship design. Trainings cover the following
fields: theoretical issues of ship design, ship theory, hydromechanics and ship structure, propulsions and engine rooms, deck equipment,
classification regulations
– practical part: implementation of design procedures concerning input data for the design, preparation and performing of the stages of
conceptual and technical-classification documentation, training inhandling of documents and drawings circulation and archiving at all
design stages as well as training in the field of software implementation
