przedhizenie na okeres do dnia 30 czerwca 1973 roku waznosc Porozumienia mi dzy Rz4dem
Polskiej Rzeczypospolitej Ludowej a Rzadem Stan w Zjednoczonych Ameryki w sprawie
rybol wstwa w zachodniej cz sci Srodkowego Oceanu Atlantyckiego, sporzadzonego w
Waszygtonie w dniu 13 czerwca 1970 roku, z tym, ze na prosbe kt regokolwiek z
Rzad w, przedlozon^ co najmniej na szescdziesiiit dni z gory, przedstawiciele obu
Rzad w spotkajq sie w miejscu, kt re bedzie ustalone przez drugi Rzad, celem zrewidowania,
przedluzenia lub zakonczenia Porozumienia.
Ministerstwo Spraw Zagranicznych rozumie, ze w przypadku przedluzenia na okres do
dnia 30 czerwca 1973 roku wspomnianego wyzej Porozumienia, przedluzona zostanie na ten
sam okres waznos uzgodnien zawartych w listach, kt re w zwi^zku z podpisaniem tego
Porozumienia zostaly wymienione w Waszyngtonie w dniu 13 czerwca 1970 roku pomiedzy
przewodniczacym delegacji Rzadu Polskiej Rzeczypospolitej Ludowej i przewodniczacym
delegacji Rzadu Stan w Zjednoczonych Ameryki oraz w podpisanym przez nich w tym
samym dniu dokumencie pod nazwq "Agreed Minutes".
Ministerstwo Spraw Zagranicznych rozumie ponadto, ze system dobrowolnej wsp lnej
kontroli okreslony w zalaczniku do Noty Ambasady Nr 66 z dnia 5 pazdziernika 1971
roku i Noty Ministerstwa Spraw Zagranicznych z dnia 31 grudnia 1971 roku, b dzie
r wniez obowiazywai przez okres waznosci Porozumien.
Ministerstwo Spraw Zagranicznych proponuje, aby w przypadku wyrazenia przez Ambasad
zgody na powyzsze, niniejsza n ota wraz z odpowiedzi^ na niq stanowily Porozumienie,
kt re wejdzie w zycie w dniu otrzymania noty bcd4cej odpowiedzia.

The American Embassy to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Embassy of the United States of America acknowledges receipt of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs' note of June 28, 1972, which reads as follows in translation :
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Polish People's Republic presents its
compliments to the Embassy of the United States of America in Warsaw and, with
reference to the talks conducted between representatives of the Embassy and representatives
of the Ministry of Shipping of the Polish People's Republic, has the honor to
propose an extension for the period until June 30, 1973, of the validity of the
Agreement between the Government of the Polish People's Republic and the Govern
ment of the United States of America regarding Fisheries in the Western Region of the
Middle Atlantic Ocean, concluded in Washington on the 13th day of June, 1970,"
provided that at the request of either Government, made at least sixty days in advance,
representatives of the two Governments will meet at a site to be determined by the
other Government to revise, extend, or terminate the Agreement.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs understands that in the case of an extension for
the period until June 30, 1973, of the validity of the above-mentioned Agreement, the
validity of the understandings contained in the letters which, in connection with the
signing of that Agreement, were exchanged in Washington on the 13th day of June,
1970, between the Chairman of the delegation of the Polish People's Republic and the
Chairman of the delegation of the United Slates of America, as well as in the document
signed by them on the same day under the title "Agreed Minutes," will be extended for
the same period.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs understands further that the voluntary scheme
of joint enforcement set forth in the enclosure to the Embassy's note no. 66 of
October 5, 1971, and to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs note of December 31,
1971, 2 shall likewise remain in effect for the period of validity of the Agreement.

"The Ministry of F reign Affairs proposes that if the Embassy agrees to the
above, the note, together with the reply to it, shall constitute an agreement, which will
enter into force on the day of the receipt of the note constituting such reply.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs avails itself of the occasion to renew to the
Embassy its expressions of high consideration. Warsaw, June 28, 1972."
The Embassy of the United States confirms the above understandings on behalf of the
Government of the United States of America and agrees that the Ministry's note and this
reply shall constitute an agreement between the two Governments.
