Sok z brzozy brodawkowatej to orzeźwiający, słodkawy napój, który działa leczniczo. Przyspiesza przemianę materii i wzmacnia organizm. Angielski Silver birch It is a medium-sized deciduous tree, typically reaching 15–25 m tall (exceptionally up to 39 m), with a slender trunk usually under 40 cm diameter (exceptionally to 1 m diameter), and a crown of arched branches with drooping branchlets. The bark is white, often with black diamond-shaped marks or larger patches, particularly at the base. The shoots are rough with small warts, and hairless, and the leaves 3–7 cm long, triangular with a broad base and pointed tip, and coarsely double-toothed serrated margins. The flowers are windpollinated catkins, produced before the leaves in early spring, the small (1–2 mm) winged seeds ripening in late summer on pendulous, cylindrical catkins 2–4 cm long and 7 mm broad. Kwiaty : żółtawozielone umieszczone w baldachogronach Zastosowania : Kwiaty bardzo miododajne. Bardzo cenne drzewo do zadrzewień parkowych bądź przydrożnych. Angielski Maple Most maples are trees growing to 10 – 45 meters (30 – 145 ft) in height. Others are shrubs less than 10 metres tall with a number of small trunks originating at ground level. Most species are deciduous, but a few in southern Asia and the Mediterranean region are evergreen. Most are shade-tolerant when young, and are often latesuccessional in ecology; many of the root systems are typically dense and fibrous. A few species, notably Acer cappadocicum, frequently produce root sprouts, which can develop into clonal colonies. Maples are distinguished by opposite leaf arrangement. The leaves in most species are palmate veined and lobed, with 3 to 9 (rarely to 13) veins each leading to a lobe, one of which is central or apical. A small number of species differ in having palmate compound, pinnate compound, pinnate veined or unlobed leaves. Several species, including Paperbark maple; Manchurian maple; Nikko maple; and Three-flowered maple, have trifoliate leaves. One species, Box-elder, has pinnately compound leaves that may be simply trifoliate or may have five, seven, or rarely nine leaflets. A few, such as Nepal maple and Hornbeam maple, have pinnately-veined simple leaves. The flowers are regular, pentamerous, and borne in racemes, corymbs, or umbels. They have four or five sepals, four or five petals about 1 – 6 mm long (absent in some species), four to ten stamens about 6 – 10 mm long, and two pistils or a pistil with two styles. The ovary is superior and has two carpels, whose wings elongate the flowers, making it easy to tell which flowers are female. Maples flower in late winter or early spring, in most species with or just after the appearance of the leaves, but in some before the trees leaf out. Zastosowanie : 1. Podstawowy materiał dla budownictwa i stolarstwa. 2. Używany do wyrobu parkietów i mebli. Warunki życia : Ma dość duże wymagania wobec wilgotności gleby i powietrza. Preferuje miejsca zacienione. Angielski European Beech It is a large tree, capable of reaching heights of up to 49 m (160 ft) tall and 3 m (10 ft) trunk diameter, though more typically 25–35 m (80–115 ft) tall and up to 1.5 m (5 ft) trunk diameter. A 10-year-old sapling will stand about 4 m (13 ft) tall. It has a typical lifespan of 150 to 200 years, though sometimes up to 300 years. The appearance varies according to its habitat; in forest conditions, it tends to have a long, slender light-gray trunk with a narrow crown and erect branches, in isolation with good side light the trunk is short with a large and widely spreading crown with very long branches. The leaves are alternate, simple, and entire or with a slightly crenate margin, 5–10 cm long and 3–7 cm broad, with 6-7 veins on each side of the leaf (7-10 veins in Fagus orientalis). When crenate, there is one point at each vein tip, never any points between the veins. The buds are long and slender, 15– 30 mm long and 2–3 mm thick, but thicker (to 4–5 mm) where the buds include flower buds. The European Beech starts to flower when it is between 30–80 years old. The flowers are small catkins which appear shortly after the leaves in spring. The seeds, called beechnuts, are small triangular nuts 15– 20 mm long and 7–10 mm wide at the base; there are two nuts in each cupule, maturing in the autumn 5–6 months after pollination. Angielski Sorb,Mountain Asch Sometimes called "Mountain Ash" is unrelated to the true Ash tree though the leaves are superficially similar. It is a small to medium-sized deciduous tree typically growing to 8–10 m tall, more rarely 20 m, and exceptionally to 28 m.The bark is smooth, silvery grey of young trees, becoming scaly pale grey-brown and occasionally fissured on old trees. The shoots are green and variably hairy at first, becoming grey-brown and hairless; the buds are conspicuous, purple-brown, and often densely hairy. The leaves are pinnate, 10–22 cm long and 6-12 cm broad, with 9–19 (most often 13– 15) leaflets; each leaflet is 3–7 cm long and 15–23 mm broad, with a coarsely serrated margin; they are variably hairy, particularly the petiole and leaf veins on the underside. The hermaphrodite flowers are produced in large terminal corymbs 8–15 cm diameter with up to 250 flowers, the individual flowers 1 cm diameter, with five creamywhite petals, and are insect pollinated. The fruit is a small pome 6– 9 mm (rarely up to 14 mm) diameter, green at first, ripening bright red in late summer. Angielski Weeping willow Weeping Willow is a medium- to large-sized deciduous tree, growing up to 20-25 m tall. It grows rapidly, but has a short lifespan. The shoots are yellowish-brown, with small buds. The leaves are alternate and spirally arranged, narrow, light green, 4-16 cm long and 0.5-2 cm broad, with finely serrate margins and long acuminate tips; they turn a gold-yellow in autumn. The flowers are arranged in catkins produced early in the spring; it is dioecious, with the male and female catkins on separate trees. Angielski European Asch It is a large deciduous tree growing to 20–35 m (exceptionally to 46 m) tall with a trunk up to 2 m (exceptionally to 3.5 m) diameter, with a tall, domed crown. The bark is smooth and pale grey on young trees, becoming thick and vertically fissured on old trees. The shoots are stout, greenish-grey, with jet black buds (which distinguish it from most other ash species, which have grey or brown buds). The leaves are 20– 35 cm long, pinnate compound, with 7-13 leaflets, the leaflets 3–12 cm long and 0.8– 3 cm broad, sessile on the leaf rachis, and with a serrated margin. The leaves are often among the last to open in spring, and the first to fall in autumn if an early frost strikes; they have no marked autumn colour, often falling dull green. The flowers open before the leaves, the female flowers being somewhat longer than the male flowers; they are dark purple, and without petals, and are wind-pollinated. Both male and female flowers can occur on the same tree, but it is more common to find all male and all female trees; a tree that is all male one year can produce female flowers the next, and similarly a female tree can become male. The fruit is a samara 2.5-4.5 cm long and 5– 8 mm broad, often hanging in bunches through the winter; they are often called 'ash keys'. If the fruit is gathered and planted when it is still green and not fully ripe, it will germinate straightaway, however once the fruit is brown and fully ripe, it will not germinate until 18 months after sowing. Angielski Arrowhead linden Arrowhead linden is a narrowly domed tree with a moderate growth rate, and can eventually attain a height of 40 m. The reddish-brown young stems later develop dark gray bark with fine fissures and furrows. The branches spread upwards at wide angles. The twigs are reddish-green and slightly pubescent. The foliage consists of simple, alternately arranged leaves. As indicated by its common name, this tree has larger leaves than the related Tilia cordata (Small-leaved Linden), 6 to 9 cm (exceptionally 15 cm). They are ovate to cordate, mid to dark green above and below, with white downy hair on the underside, particularly along the veins, tapering into a mucronate tip. The margin is sharply serrate, and the base cordate; the venation is palmate along a midrib. The pubescent petiole is usually 3–4 cm long, but can vary between 1.5–5 cm. The autumn foliage is yellow-green to yellow. The small, fragrant, yellowish-white flowers are arranged in drooping, cymose clusters in groups of 3 to 4. Their whitish-green, leaf-like bracts have an oblong-obovate shape. The geniculate peduncles are between 1.5–3 cm long. The hermaphroditic flowers have 5 sepals and 5 tepals, numerous stamens, but no staminodes. The superior ovary is 2-10 locular with one smooth style. The flowers are pollinated by bees. The fruit is a small, round, tomentose, cream-colored nutlet with a diameter of 1 cm or less. It has a woody shell with 3-5 ridges. Kasztanowiec zwyczajny Aesculus hippocastanum Chestnut Rosskastanie Rodzina: Kasztanowate Podstawowe informacje : Wysokość : 30 metrów Średnica: 120 centymetrów Pochodzenie: Półwysep Bałkański, Azja Mniejsza Długość liścia : 25 centymetrów Szerokość liścia: 10 centymetrów Kształt liścia : Listki ostro zaostrzone na szczycie Kwiaty : 5-krotne koloru białego w wielkich prostych wiechowatych kwiatostanach w kształcie piramidy do 30 cm Nasiona: Zalążnia przekształca się w 5-7 cm zieloną torebkę z kolcami, która odpada na zimę i uwalnia 1 lub 2 brązowawe nasiona. Nasiona lśniące, czerwono-brązowe, niejadalne i lekko trujące. Angielski Chestnut Chestnut trees are of moderate growth rate (for the Chinese chestnut tree) to fast-growing for American and European species.Their mature heights vary from the smallest species of chinkapins, often shrubby, to the giant of past American forests, Castanea dentata that could reach 60 m. In between these extremes are found the Japanese chestnut at 10 m average; followed by the Chinese Chestnut at about 15 m, then the European chestnut around 30 m Niemiecki Rosskastanie Die Gewöhnliche Rosskastanie ist ein schnell wachsender, sommergrüner Baum, der Wuchshöhen von bis zu 30 m erreicht. Dąb szypułkowy Quercus robur Oak Eiche Rodzina : Bukowate Podstawowe informacje : Wysokość : 35-40 metrów Pochodzenie: Europa, Kaukaz Kształt liścia : Skrętoległe, w pękach na końcach pędów, na krótkich ogonkach, całobrzegie, końce klap zaokrąglone; u nasady sercowate, zwykle niesymetrycznie uszato wykrojone, dolna część liścia węższa niż górna; nerwy dochodzą do końców klap i zatok między klapami; z wierzchu ciemnozielone, od spodu jasno-niebieskawo-zielone. Liście dębu szypułkowego są w zarysie odwrotnie jajowate i krótkoogonkowe, u nasady sercowate, z wyraźnymi uszkami. Nerwy liściowe dochodzą do końców klap i zatok między klapami. Angielski Oak An oak is a tree or shrub in the genus Quercus of which about 600 species exist on earth. "Oak" may also appear in the names of species in related genera, notably Lithocarpus. The genus is native to the northern hemisphere, and includes deciduous and evergreen species extending from cold latitudes to tropical Asia and the Americas. Oaks have spirally arranged leaves, with a lobed margin in many species; some have serrated leaves or entire leaves with a smooth margin. The flowers are catkins, produced in spring. The fruit is a nut called an acorn, borne in a cup-like structure known as a cupule; each acorn contains one seed (rarely two or three) and takes 6–18 months to mature, depending on species. The live oaks are distinguished for being evergreen, but are not actually a distinct group and instead are dispersed across the genus.
