DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
GENERAL IDEA, VISION: Creating a characteristic and unique element in the city, in a
form of a pedestrian and bicycle route with very lively and energetic colours. This element
must be a frame for all the functions and activities designed between the roundabouts. In
some areas, it will be only a pavement, but in the key areas its form will transform into spatial
elements such as seats, “pavilions” or footbridges.
Along Powstania Warszawskiego avenue we will implement the element of green hills that
will provide a natural acoustic barrier. We will keep the most of the parking spaces along the
avenue, but we will create in every fifth space a green zone with trees.
FORT – Amphitheatre
EILE SQUARE – a pavilion with small services and toilets, urban beach on the roof and
ponds. A playground an spaces for food trucks
CAR PARK AND THE AREA IN FRONT OF “ŻYLETKOWIEC” (a characteristic
building erected in 1960s) AND MAŁOPOLSKA REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
AGENCY – Restricting the number of parking spaces and planting vegetation. Implementing
an uplift of the site that will limit collisions on Sądowa street. In the future, a place for a
footbridge over Powstania Warszawskiego avenue.
KRAKOWSKI SZKOLNY OŚRODEK SPORTOWY (Cracow School Sports Centre)
The new pitch with stands and recreational areas concerning sport ( entering the area KSOS'u
to the courts).
MARSHAL’S OFFICE – along the street, places for relaxation with seats. In front of the
main entrance, a representative urban square with water elements, benches and small pavilion
with tourist and cultural information.
