TYPES 2010 Social Events
Welcome Reception (Wednesday, October 13th, 7pm)
The welcome reception takes place in Pałac Kazimierzowski at the main University campus (number 1 on the campus map). To get there from the conference site follow the map below.

To get back to your hotel:
Hotel Holiday Inn, Hotel Mercure Fryderyk Chopin, Etap Hotel Warszawa Centrum:
go to the NOWY ŚWIAT bus stop in the Świętokrzyska street. To get to the Holiday Inn or the
Mercure hotel take bus 506 or 150 going west. To get to the Etap Hotel Warszawa Centrum take
bus 155 going east. Get off at the GÓRNOŚLĄSKA bus stop, next to the hotel.
Hotel Hetman: go to the UNIWERSYTET bus stop (in front of the University) and take bus
116, 180, or 503 going north (or walk about 10 minutes) to PL. ZAMKOWY. Go down the stairs
to the STARE MIASTO tram stop and take tram 13 or 26 to the ZĄBKOWSKA tram stop.
IBIS Stare Miasto: go to the bus stop UNIWERSYTET (in front of the University) and take
bus 116 going north to MURANOWSKA.
otherwise: follow the reverted arrival instruction.
Conference Dinner (Friday, October 15th, 8pm)
The conference dinner takes place in the Kuźnia Smaku restaurant, at Mazowiecka street no. 10.
The location of the restaurant is shown in Figure 2.

The following hotels are within a walking distance from Kuźnia Smaku: Victoria Sofitel, Oki
Doki Hostel, Hostel Helvetia, Mercure Fryderyk Chopin, Holiday Inn.
Other hotels:
Mercure Warszawa Grand, Hotel Hera, Heavy Ion Laboratory,IBIS Stare Miasto: go
to the UNIWERSYTET bus stop and walk down Romualda Traugutta street.
Etap Hotel Warszawa Centrum: take bus 155 to NOWY ŚWIAT bus stop, go west down
Świętokrzyska to Mazowiecka street.
Hotel Hetman: get to the STARE MIASTO tram stop, at PL. ZAMKOWY change to bus 116
or 175 going south, get off at ORDYNACKA and go west Świętokrzyska to Mazowiecka street.
The day public transport operates till about 11 pm. Later you have to use night public
transport. All night buses start at DW. CENTRALNY (main railway station) bus stop, about 15
minutes on foot from the restaurant. We will have maps showing the exact location of the bus
stops, contact us if you need them. The departure time is every 30 minutes starting from 23:15.
All stops are on demand, you have to press the “stop” button before your stop.
Heavy Ion Laboratory: take bus N32, get off at BANACHA-SZPITAL
Hotel IBIS Stare Miasto: take bus N44, get off at MURANOWSKA
For the following hotels you may take the bus from the METRO ŚWIĘTOKRZYSKA bus stop,
5 minutes on foot from the restaurant:
Hotel Hera: take bus N31, get off at SPACEROWA
Hotel Etap: take bus N33, get off at ŚNIEGOCKA
Hotel Hetman: take bus N21 or N71, get off at ZĄBKOWSKA
Alternatively, you may take a taxi, for example Super Taxi (+48 22 196 22), Wawa-Taxi
(+48 22 870 50 00) or Sawa-Taxi (+ 48 22 644 44 44).
