Studio Filmów Rysunkowych in Bielsko-Biała was established following the transformation of film
institution Animated Film Studio (founded in 1947). It is famous for the production of children's
films. Films with Bolek and Lolka, Rex, Professor Sponge, Leon the fox, Captain Clipper and many
other heroes built and strengthened the Studio's brand, both nationally and internationally.
The Studio housed the creation of five feature films. "Bolek's and Lolek's Great Adventure" has
been sold to over 80 countries. The last of the feature films "Copernicus' star" came to cinemas in
2009. Films made by SFR won awards at festivals, both in Poland and abroad.
Currently, the Company is launching a series of 13 episodes of "Jim and Screw". Studio, realizing
films in a variety of animation techniques, has artistic and technical potential which enables to
continue the previous achievements. In addition to film production, the Company conducts
educational activities under the name of "Fairytale World of Bolek and Lolek" and small studio
cinema.
