ABOUT LOCATION
The Galician Town in Nowy Sącz is a replica of buildings from the end of the 19th century. Originally located at main town
square, they include the townhall, a nobleman's residence, burghers’ houses, the fire station and two chapels: of St. Florian
and St. John of Nepomuk. The Nowy Sącz open-air museum exhibits furnished houses of Lendians, Nowy Sącz highlanders,
Pogorzans, Lemkos, Germans and Romani as well as a nobleman mansion, a community school, rural industry facilities,
chapels and crosses. On the premises there are also three re-opened churches: Roman Catholic, Greek Catholic and
Evangelical-Augsburg. An ever increasing number of workshops as well as educational and academic activities takes place in
the museum town and open-air museum.
