STRESZCZENIA SUMMARIES T. BORUTA, M. BIZUKOJĆ, S. LEDAKOWICZ: Modelowanie metabolizmu w erze inżynierii biologicznej Inż. Ap. Chem. Słowa kluczowe: metabolizm, model, optymalizacja, bioinżynieria, algorytm T. BORUTA, M. BIZUKOJĆ, S. LEDAKOWICZ: Metabolic modelling in the era of biological engineering Inż. Ap. Chem. 2012, 51, no. 4, 89 Modern metabolic engineering is based on the tools of systems biology and synthetic biology. Mathematical modelling plays an important role in the research related to metabolic network modification, because it enables one to analyze the biological system in a quantitative manner. The flux balance analysis enables one to determine flux values in the network by maximizing the biological objective function. Algorithms of in silico metabolic engineering are based on optimization procedures. Key words: metabolism, model, optimization, bioengineering, algorithm T. BORUTA, M. BIZUKOJĆ, S. LEDAKOWICZ: Bioinformatyczna analiza przewidywanego klastra genów biosyntezy (+)-geodyny u Aspergillus terreus Inż. Ap. Chem. LEDAKOWICZ: Bioinformatic analysis of the predicted (+)-geodin biosynthesis gene cluster of Aspergillus terreus L. BILIŃSKA, J. BEMSKA, K. BILIŃSKI, S. LEDAKOWICZ: Zintegrowana chemiczno-biologiczna oczyszczalnia ścieków włókienniczych Inż. Ap. Chem. 2012, 51, nr 4, 95 W pracy przedstawiono chemiczno-biologiczną oczyszczalnię ścieków włókienniczych pracującą w jednym z zakładów włókienniczych okręgu łódzkiego. Szczegółowo opisano poszczególne etapy oczyszczania i przybliżono związane z nimi rozwiązania instalacyjne. Scharakteryzowano także ścieki pochodzące z farbiarni. W wyniku pracy instalacji uzyskano 86% redukcji ChZT, 52% redukcji azotu, 50% redukcji OW i 90% redukcji OWO. Dzięki temu udało się zawrócić oczyszczoną wodę do procesów produkcyjnych. Słowa kluczowe: ścieki włókiennicze, oczyszczanie ścieków, zamykanie obiegów wody L. BILIŃSKA, J. BEMSKA, K. BILIŃSKI, S. LEDAKOWICZ: Integrated chemical-biological textile sewage treatment plant Inż. Ap. Chem. 2012, 51, no. 4, 92 The cluster of genes responsible for (+)-geodin biosynthesis in Aspergillus terreus was identified and described using the tools of bioinformatics. Hypothetical functions of proteins encoded by the cluster genes were established and discussed in the context of proposed (+)-geodin biosynthesis pathway. The analysis showed that in silico methods employed in metabolic pathway analysis may provide useful guidelines for researchers, but should be always supported with experimental data. Key words: Aspergillus, (+)-geodin, polyketides, BLAST Inż. Ap. Chem. 2012, 51, no. 4, 95 The paper presents the chemical-biological textile wastewater treatment plant working in one of textile companies in the district of Lodz. The subsequent stages of purification in reference to installation design are described. The effluent from the dye house is also characterized. As a result of the treatment 86% COD removal, 52% nitrogen removal, 50% TC removal and also 90% TOC removal were achieved. Thanks to that, the treated water was reused in the production processes.
