CALL FOR PAPERS
APPLIED LINGUISTICS IN BUSINESS
The Institute of Specialised and Intercultural Communication at the University of Warsaw seeks papers for
the special Volume 13 of the quarterly Lingwistyka Stosowana/ Applied Linguistics/ Angewandte Linguistik.
The journal welcomes submissions of original research articles and book reviews that contribute to the field
of applied linguistics in business and professional contexts. The volume will be published online and made
available under a Creative Commons licence.
Manuscripts shall be written in Polish, German or English, and should be accompanied by an English version
of the title, abstract of 150-200 words in English and the address for manuscript correspondence (including
postal and e-mail address). Articles should range between 4,000-6,000 words (including abstract, footnotes
and bibliography) and book reviews — between 1,000-1,500 words. Manuscripts should be sent to the Editor
([email protected]) as email attachments (Word).

Style sheet: all the margins 2.5 cm.
Paragraphs: first line should be in indented 1 cm; line spacing 1.5 point (this also applies to block
quotes).
Font: Times New Roman, 12 point, fully justified.
Names as well as titles in Russian should be transliterated (according to the norm PN-ISO 9: 2000).
Quotations and journal titles should be put in “Quotation Marks”.
Tables, graphs, figures and symbols should be numbered and described: Times New Roman, 12
point, centred.
2. Text format

Main heading should include the author’s name and affiliation.
Paper’s title: Times New Roman, 12 point, bolded, left justified.
3. Review’s format

Paper’s title: name and surname of the author of the book reviewed, its title, volume, edition, name
of the publisher, place and date of publishing, number of pages (if translated — the name and
surname of the translator).
Name and surname of the author of the review should be put at the end of the text.
4. References in main text

Author’s first name initial and surname, year of publication, page number:

Footnotes should be kept to a minimum, Times New Roman, 10 point, line spacing 1.0 point.
