The Scientific Foundation Norden Centrum together with the Institute of Social Policy at the University of
Warsaw and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Poland are pleased to invite you to a debate on the reasons
and consequences of the emerging North-South division in the European Union. Why social and economic
performance of the Scandinavian states and Germany is relatively better than that of Mediterranean
countries? What are possible implications for Poland?
