USB interface in AXIS scales/force gauges

Drivers installation on computer.
Drivers installation causes that the scale (or force gauge) is seen on computer as
additional, virtual, bidirectional serial port of number according to ports existing in
operating system.
This port can be configured and operated the same way as any other serial port,
therefore software communicating with scale (or force gauge) by serial port can
cooperates with it as well.
When scale (or force gauge) is connected to computer first time using standard USB
wire an information about detecting new hardware will appear in operating system.
Operating system will show an information when is ready for driver installation –
automatic searching should be unchecked and driver localization should be indicated
manually (on attached CD):
► driver version 1.00.2154 - for Windows XP and 2000
► driver version 1.09.05 - for Windows 98/ME
After installing driver in operating system two new items should be visible in Control
Panel/System/Device Manager:
 Universal Serial Bus controllers /USB High Speed Serial Converter
 Ports (COM&LPT)/USB Serial Port (COM x)
After drivers installation connecting another scale with USB interface to computer
causes another serial port appears in operating system. There is a possibility of changing
assigned USB serial port number - it is allowed by USB Serial Port
(COM x)/Properties/Port Settings/Advanced option.
