Dlaczego? To chyba jasne: tym razem prawdziwy Baranek – Jezus zasiada do wieczerzy Saturday 4:00 pm Vigil Mass in English Sunday 7:30 am 10:30 am & 12:00 pm In English 9:00 am and 1:30 pm In Polish DAILY MASSES 7:30 am In English followed by Rosary 7:00 pm - In Polish on Fridays During the month of May: Monday thru Friday 7:00 pm - In Polish- May Devotion followed by Mass During the month of Oct.: Monday thru Friday 7:00 pm In Polish– Rosary followed by Mass SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION Starts at: 6:00 pm on Friday 3:00 pm on Saturday St. Rosalie The symbols and actions of baptism evolved around the experience of adults dying to old patterns of life and rising from the waters of baptism as new creations. As for newborn babies, at first it was desired to wait until the following Easter, when they could be baptized, anointed with chrism, and given a taste of the Eucharist in association with adults. The Church was always willing to baptize adults in emergency situations outside the Easter timetable, and in time, since infancy itself was a life-threatening situation, the baptism of babies became commonplace. As with the “emergency” adult baptisms, it was required that parents bring the child, as soon as health was recovered, to the bishop for the full menu of sacraments. The very real fear of death for infants thus created a situation in which the three sacraments drifted apart from each other, and away from their original, adult celebration at Easter. Today, at last, we know a great deal about how our practices evolved. This knowledge is reshaping how we celebrate Easter, how we receive adult faith, and how we structure the faith journey of children. SUNDAY MASSES ADORATION OF THE MOST BLESSED SACRAMENT 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Friday & 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm on first Thursday of the Month 3 12 stycznia 2014 w naszej parafii miało miejsce pożeg- St. Rosalie nanie śp. prof. Wojciecha Kilara. Na uroczystą mszę św. obok licznie zebranej polonii przybył także vice konsul pan Adam Bożko. At January 12, 2014, The Polish community of Chicago gathered together with Mr. Adam Bozko (Vice Consul of Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Chicago) to celebrate the Holy mass for a Polish pianist and composer prof. Wojciech Kilar who died on Dec. 29, 2013 in Katowice. Po mszy św. odbył się krótki koncert w wykonaniu Akademii Muzyki przy Paderewski Symphony Orchestra. After 1:30 Mass a short concert was performed by the Paderewski Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra. The 41 Annual March For Life January 22 , 2014 st nd The March for Life in Washington D.C. began as a grassroots response of pro-lifers nationwide to Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion throughout the 9 months of a woman's pregnancy. Each year, inspired by the Holy Spirit’s gift of Reverence, Catholics and all people of good will come together to pray and publicly intercede on behalf of the unborn, their parents, families, our communities, our nation and its leaders - that this prayerful presence may open hearts, minds, souls to the fullness of the Gospel of Life in our lives and laws. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has declared that in all the dioceses of the United States of America, January 22nd shall be observed as a particular day of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion, and of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life. 4 St. Rosalie Announcements: We welcome and remind everyone that Our Lord Jesus Christ is present in the Eucharist in this church. Please respect His presence by avoiding unnecessary conversations, keeping your voice on the whisper level and proper attire. Thank you. Today the second collection will be taken for Church in Latin America. Sunday, January 26, 2014, will be OPEN HOUSE at St. Constance Elementary School and St. Pascal School. All are welcome. We would like to thank everyone who has been helping our Parish especially those who have been working unselfishly. Today, there will be a sale of hand-carved olive wood religious art from the Holy Land to support Catholic families in Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and the surrounding villages. The sale will be conducted at the vestibule after all Masses. Each year, Christians participate in a week of Prayer For Christian Unity. Begining January 18th thru January 25th, Francis Cardinal George invites all churches to engage in personal prayer in your daily worship. You may find more information on the Archdiocese of Chicago website www.archchicago.org Next Market Day pick-up is scheduled for the 23rd of January at 5pm. Thank you for your support.
