STUDIES IN LODZ
Nomination procedures
Please send the nomination list at the ISO of the UL: [email protected].
The nominated students will be informed about the obligatory online
registration. In the online registration, a student should fill in the
application form, choose courses he/she is planning to take at the UL
after consultation with the home Coordinator, download his/her
photo, and submit his/her application online.
After verification online registration, the ISO of the UL will issue and
send the Letter of Acceptance to incoming students.
Registration deadline
1st semester and whole academic year: 30 June
2nd semester: 15 December
Academic calendar
1st semester: 01 October – middle of February
2nd semester: middle of February – 30 June
Examination periods
1st semester: end of January – middle of February
2nd semester: beginning of June – end of June
Re-sit: 1st semester: February, 2nd semester: September

Orientation session for incoming
students
One week before each semester + 2 weeks of optional Polish
Language Course (also before the semester starts).
Accommodation
The University of Lodz offers rooms in dormitories on Campus. Priority
is given to students who submit their application on time.
Language requirements
An exchange student at the University of Lodz is expected to have at
least B1 level in order to follow courses and participate actively in
class discussions. He/She should be able to write academic papers and
take written and/or oral exams. We don't require students to provide
us with language certificates.
Languages of instruction: English (majority of courses), Polish,
Spanish, Russian, French or German (courses available on individual
basis).

Visa and insurance
The University of Lodz requires a copy of the valid medical insurance
for the period of student exchange stay in Lodz. We accept a copy of
the European Health Insurance Card or other medical insurance
written/translated in English or Polish.
