RECORD ZAPIS Dariusz Adamowski
RECORD I dream of the city and of friends considering suicide. And my grandmother, in good shape, centuries younger, saying she's moving in with me. (Do I have somewhere to move out to?). And I'm haunted by the dead, who I would never dream of doing such things. They have no answers, but they do know that soon I will be asking for trouble. For if tenses, past and future, don't exist, then I keep sinning in the same body and spirit. Repeating the same mistake since the day I was born. Carving it into the opening of a 16-page exercise book, ruled. And then, but still, I leave my senses, licking wounds. My lips turning ever more blue, my eyes less and less translucent. Still, I do see the dead as the living. I see the suicides of my loved ones and my grandmother in the room next door. She mistakes me for her father and I leave her my house, the city whole. Move right across the street. Rzeźbię go na pierwszej stronie szesnastokartkowego zeszytu w trzy linie. A potem, lecz nadal, odchodzę od zmysłów, liżę ranę. Usta mam coraz bardziej sine, a oczy coraz mniej przejrzyste. Ale widzę zmarłych jak żywych. Widzę samobójstwa moich bliskich i moja babka jest w pokoju obok. Myli mnie ze swoim ojcem, a ja zostawiam jej dom, całe miasto. Wyprowadzam się naprzeciwko.
