social, legal and economic dimensions of cross- border
Conference Issues International Scientific Committee National borders separate from each other practically all spheres of life of the society – they make up the line, which separates and distinguishes language, culture, science, religion or legal standards. Also, economists analyze the nature of the border in terms of its importance to the economy. We think of its impact on the volume of imports and exports of goods and services, the scope and profitability of the movement of capital or labor, the competitiveness of economies. Businesses compare the cost of production of goods and services on both sides of the border to take on the basis of economic decisions. In the end, traders on both sides of the border engage in joint cross-border projects. We consider the whole range of issues. Can cross-borderism be an important factor in the development of the border areas? What are the opportunities and threats of this type of business initiatives? How to encourage the broadest and possible to establish business contacts? How to raise the efficiency of the companies involved in international trade? How to calculate and protect themselves against the wider economic risk? How to make the border the most entrepreneur-friendly? We are interested in the question of how to take advantage of the pro-development situation that is created by the lack of intra-Community borders and how to seize the opportunity that comes from Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine and Russia, meeting at one common border the border of the European Union.
