Objective of the course
Acquiring knowledge related to copyright, in particular rules of protection of intellectual
property and rules of using works of other artists.
Contents
- the subject of copyright,
- determining of a music piece,
- author’s personal rights vs authors financial rights,
- co-authorship,
- preparation of a music piece,
- using a music piece,
- managing copyright,
- organizations of collective management of copyright.
Educational effects after completion of the course:
- in the scope of knowledge
 a student possesses general knowledge related to marketing, finances and legal aspects of
musician’s profession, with particular attention to issues related to copyright (K1_W12).
Teaching methods
Lecture with multimedia presentation and students’ own work.
