ABSTRACT. Wąsiński Arkadiusz, Autokreacja człowieka w dobie kultury obrazkowej jako nowy aspekt badawczy pedagogiki mediów
[Human self-creation in the era of pictorial culture as a new investigative aspect of medial education]. “Neodidagmata” 27/28,
Poznań 2005, Adam Mickiewicz University Press, pp. 53-66. ISBN 83-232-1602-9. ISSN 0077-653X.
In the article a self-creative activity of present-day people in the context of complex research on medial education was considered. On the
groundwork of aggregative understanding of media we described both the root of tensity arising between a man and a medial space and a
function of the above-mentioned space in the following categories: 1. consolidating and supplementing, 2. initiating and inspiring, 3.
motivating and valuating.
On the background of this consideration were analysed semantic relationships of self-creation and self-accomplishment taken up by people in
the medial space. In conclusion we indicated an importance of a narrative nature of medial transmission as a factor that initiates and
stimulates self-creative activities of modern people.

ABSTRACT. Wach-Kąkolewicz Anna, Tradycje komunikowania a komunikowanie w kształceniu zdalnym przez Internet
[Communication traditions and communication in distance education over the Internet]. „Neodidagmata” 27/28, Poznań 2005,
Adam Mickiewicz University Press, pp. 67-78. ISBN 83-232-1602-9. ISSN 0077-653X.
In literature, communication process is described from different perspectives. Many scientific disciplines like psychology,
sociology, semiotics or pedagogy are interested in specific aspects of communication. There are many communication theories
as the result of using a different methodology in scientific research.
Looking at an educational communication process in distance learning over the Internet the author of the paper wanted to
describe some specific elements of this kind of communication. The aim of the paper was also to show some communication
traditions (definitions) and find some implications to distance education over the Internet.

The main objective of the doctoral Ph.D. was to analyse the process of the changes in the Matura examination at technical
secondary schools. The research work took place in 58 technical secondary schools, located in the Mazowsze region. The old
and new Matura examinations were organized in the years 1999–2002. In fact, 8 technical secondary schools (13.79% of all
technical secondary schools located in the Mazowsze region) took part in the research. The new Matura examinations were
organised at the above mentioned schools. In the years 2001–2002 the 368 teachers worked at the technical secondary schools and
98 teachers (26.63%) of all employed) participated in the research. In the same period there were 337 pupils in the technical
secondary schools who wanted to pass the Matura examination. In fact, 272 pupils (80.71%) participated in the research.
In the years 2002–2003 13 teachers (3.53%) and 268 pupils (85.62%) of the technical secondary schools participated
in the research. As a result, the problems of the research were answered and the hypotheses were confirmed.

ABSTRACT. Iwanicka Agnieszka, Walter Natalia, Radio w sieci – kontra czy wzmocnienie tradycyjnego radia? [Internet radio –
counter or reinforcement for traditional radio?]. „Neodidagmata” 27/28, Poznań 2005, Adam Mickiewicz University Press, pp.

Radio is a mass-medium whose main virtue is the immediate passing on of the communicates. The Internet radio, like the traditional one, is
used for transmitting audio signals from a sender to a receiver. The difference is that the signal is sent over Internet instead of ether. The
Internet radio fixes the drawbacks related to the traditional radio: 1) can be listened to from an Internet-enabled computer located anywhere,
2) Internet allows listening to any station over the world. The paper describes research on the use of internet radio by students and analysis of
the content offered by Polish-speaking Internet radio stations.
The abundance of the Internet radio offer allows the young people to learn making choice. Due to its specific properties (like forcing to
reflection and audience activity, the dynamism of hearing attention, disapproval for passivity, involuntariness of the perception and the
favour to the imagination development), the hearing perception is conducive to the teaching-learning process and may increase the process
efficiency.

ABSTRACT. Czajkowska Dominika, Reprodukcja kapitału szkolnego na poziomie szkolnictwa wyższego – egzemplifikacje francuskie [The
reproduction of school capital on the level of higher education – the French exemplifications]. “Neodidagmata” 27/28, Poznań
2005, Adam Mickiewicz University Press, pp. 119-130. ISBN 83-232-1602-9. ISSN 0077-653X.
The relationship introduced in the article was among cultural capital of youth and the possibility of achievement by them of the
higher education on the example of French education. I portray the role of cultural capital as the enabling factor to achieve the
highest rungs of education and career. It turns out, that still current affirming is that the youth possessing suitable cultural
capital possesses larger possibilities to receive a diploma of best French universities, than these who possess "less significant”
cultural capital. The cultural capital still determines school life of young French. Do they possess "suitable” capital to achieve
subsequent rungs of science it is conditioned by the "less” or "more suitable” the school capital of their parents. The school
cultural capital of parents becomes reproduced in school capital of next generations. There are few possibilities to win
university diplomas (and almost none for the most prestige state – grande école) by workers' sons. Therefore, influence on
possible school success, so as this was in case of previous generations, relies on the family and school.

ABSTRACT. Ławniczak Joanna, Edukacja medialna w szkolnych programach nauczania w Anglii i Niemczech [Media education in
English and German curriculum]. „Neodidagmata” 27/28, Poznań 2005, Adam Mickiewicz University Press, pp. 131-139. ISBN 83-2321602-9. ISSN 0077-653X.
The goal of this article is to unfold school media education curriculum in England and Germany. The author synthesizes basics
of British and German media education programs. The author focuses on two different ways those countries took to input new
and sometimes experimental teaching programs into schools. Both approaches are described in detail, and show clearly that
there are many ways to teach people how to understand and use media for common good.

ABSTRACT. Michałowski Marian, Obrazy cyfrowe w komunikatach elektronicznych [Digital images in electronic transmission].
„Neodidagmata” 27/28, Poznań 2005, Adam Mickiewicz University Press, pp. 141-157. ISBN 83-232-1602-9. ISSN 0077-653X.
The technological development and its influence on the whole social life in a multiform way leads to the necessity of exploring
problems connected with electronic audio-visual transmission. One of its characteristics is migration from analog technology to
digital pictures generated by computers, in other words from technical reproduction to computer simulation (many times much
more attractive than the real life and world). In communication practice always using signs, which have different meanings. The
meanings expressed are always performing in any substance or material – in this case in digital images. Parameters of these
images are not neutral for transported meanings and also are not neutral for participants of communication practice, in which
participation and perception patterns are shaping. The complexity of digital images requiring more and more communication
competences (on both sides – sender and receiver side) and their way of working in practice force to ask: is perception of digital
images only meanings received, connected with their contents, or are there other factors yet? This article pays attention to aesthetics
and attraction of digital images.
