MACIEJ J. OGORZAŁEK jest profesorem zwyczajnym i kierownikiem

MACIEJ J. OGORZAŁEK jest profesorem zwyczajnym i kierownikiem Zakładu
Technologii Informatycznych na Wydziale Fizyki, Astronomii i Informatyki
Stosowanej Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego w Krakowie. Był wieloletnim
pracownikiem Wydziału Elektrotechniki, Automatyki, Informatyki i
Elektroniki AGH. Pracował także jako visiting professor w Duńskim
Uniwersytecie Technicznym w Kopenhadze, Politechnice Federalnej w
Lozannie, Uniwersytecie Goethego we Frankfurcie nad Menem, Centro
Nacional de Microelectronica w Sevilli, Uniwersytecie w Kyoto oraz RIKEN
w Japonii, Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Jest laureatem wielu nagród, między innymi: 2000 Research Award from
the Ministry of Education of Spain; 2001 Senior Scientist Award from the
Japan Society for Promotion of Science; 2005 Hertie Foundation Fellowship.
W latach 2006-2009 był profesorem honorowym w Chair of Biosignals and
Systems, Hong Kong Polytechnic University w ramach tzw. Distinguished
Scholars Scheme.
Jest autorem z górą 250 publikacji w czasopismach i materiałach znaczących konferencji zagranicznych.
Opublikował także książkę Chaos and Complexity in Nonlinear Electronic Circuits (World Scientific, 1997).
Jest członkiem komitetów redakcyjnych szeregu czasopism z Listy Filadelfijskiej: Associate Editor – Journal of the
Franklin Institute (1997-), Member of the Editorial board of the International Journal of Circuit Theory and
Applications (2000- ) oraz szeregu czasopism IEEE. Był wiceprezesem zarządu Fundacji im. Braci Śniadeckich (do
2005 roku).
