Methane gas from landfill sites makes a significant
contribution to the greenhouse effect. The gas
should therefore be recovered and used in energy
production.
The installed electrical capacity at the three
landfills in Sosnowiec, Olsztyn and Lubna sums to 5
MW and the heat capacity is 5 MW.
