Financing: Shareholders, European Investment Bank, Nordic Investment Bank and a third commercial source Phase 2 General Scope of Work The Phase 2 works between Nowe Marzy and Czerniewice in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship includes 51.72 km of new motorway between Nowe Marzy and Lubicz including a bridge over river Vistula close to Grudziądz as well as 10,70 km of the right carriageway and superstructure of the right carriageway for two bridges between Lubicz and Czerniewice. The scope includes also preparatory works, earthworks, drainage, pavements, structures, finishing works, traffic and street elements, environmental protection, landscaping, lighting and communications, and temporary facilities within the defined project limits. The GTC shall be responsible for the design, engineering, supervision and management of the work. After the opening of the entire concession section of the motorway GTC will operate it until 2039. At that time the project will be handed over to the public partner. Technical class I (motorway) Design speed 120 km/h Number of carriageways 2 Number of traffic lanes 4 (two carriageways of two lanes each) Traffic lane width Central reserve width 3.75 m 4.00 m (without strips) Width of hard shoulder for emergency stop lane 3.00 m Road crown width 28.50 m 36.00 m 1.25 m 115 kN/axle Bituminous Future road crown width Soil shoulder width Pavement loading Pavement b) The overall scope of the Phase 2 works includes the construction of: - Two-level road interchanges – 5 (including Warlubie interchange) Structures in the route and above the motorway (bridges, overpasses, viaducts, farm crossings, passages for animals) – 51 nos (50 in Phase 2, 1 in Warlubie) Service Areas (MOPs) – 4 pairs (8 total) Toll plazas located on the carriageway - 1 Toll stations located on approach roads to interchanges - 5 Maintenance Area (OUA) - 1 Environmental mitigation facilities (noise banks, noise screens, protective greens, Oil- Water separators) Road furniture (safety fencing, fencing and road marking). c) Phase 2 Interchanges - “Warlubie” km 74+193.32 Intersection of the motorway (km 74+863.50) with the national road no. 214 Warlubie-Kościerzyna. “Grudziądz” km 97+ 297.25 Intersection resulting from the general site plan of Grudziądz town and county. It is located outside the existing transport system. Direct connection between Grudziądz and the motorway will require construction of approx. 2 km long new road from the interchange to Rataja Street. The Phase 2 scope of work excludes the construction of this connection road. Strona / Page 3 - “Lisewo” km 113+100 Intersection of the motorway (km 112+586.93) with national road no. 548 Stolno - Wabrzeźno, which crosses over the motorway. “Turzno” km 135+ 619.61 Intersection of the motorway (km 135+623.12). “Lubicz” km 142+ 200 Intersection of the motorway (km 141+639.34) with the new route of national road no. 10, changed into expressway Warsaw – Toruń Bydgoszcz – Szczecin. “Czerniewice” km 151+900.00 Intersection of the motorway (km 151+900) with the national road no. 1 and future express road S10 was completed as a part of the Phase II contract. d) Service Areas (MOP) - e) Maintenance areas (OUAs) - f) “Grabowiec” at km 149.5 located in Lubicz county, on the west motorway side (km 149+500) before the bridge over Vistula river. Access to OUA is provided by the road 654 Toruń-Osiek. Toll Plazas - f) “Malankowo” at km 106+550 located on the eastern side of the motorway. This MOP is located in Płużnica county ”Malankowo” at km 107+200 located on the western side of the motorway. This MOP is located in Płużnica county “Drzonowo” at km 116+500 located on the eastern side of the motorway. This MOP is located in Chełmża county “Drzonowo” at km 116+650 located on the western side of the motorway. This MOP is located in Chełmża county “Nowy Dwór” at km 129+650 located on the eastern side of the motorway. This MOP is located in Łysomice county “Nowy Dwór” at km 129+700 located on the western side of the motorway. This MOP is located in Łysomice county “Nowa Wieś” at km 144+550 located on the eastern side of the motorway. Major viaducts simultaneously crossing large river valleys railway tracks and roads in points where high embankments occur 16 PG underpasses for farm crossings and minor roads 1 PZ Underpasses for the passage of animals 6 Structures above the motorway (Overpasses) WD Bridges spanning the motorway for national, district county and local distributor roads, and the bridge Warlubie interchange 24 In addition to that the 15 existing engineering structures are to be renovated. h) Sections The work may be divided into the following sections: - Section I : Nowe Marzy to Grudziądz km 89+ 494.76 to km 98+400, including the interchanges at Nowe Marzy to Grudziądz. - Section II : Grudziądz to Lisewo km 98+400 to km 114+000, including the interchange at Lisewo - Section III : Lisewo to Lubicz km 114+000 to km 141+018 including the interchange at Turzno. - Section IV : Lubicz to Czerniewice km 141+018 to km 151+900 including the interchange at Lubicz.
