GOSPEL REFLECTION: Lev. 19:1-2; 1 Cor. 3:16-23; Matt. 5:3848 Loving one’s neighbor is more than just a pious thought! It
includes patience, forgiveness, courage, and truthfulness. Jesus
wants His followers to love and pray for those who have caused
hurt in their lives. The challenge of Jesus is great!

Catholicism - The Ineffable Mystery of God (Episode 3)
This sunday Feb 19, at 4:00PM will be our third meeting in our
journey through the documentaries series Catholicism by
Bishop Barron. Come join us as we will explore “That Than
Which Nothing Greater Can Be Thought”. Bishop Barron
highlights the essence of God's existence and how it plays a vital
role in our Catholic Faith. All are welcomed to join. Entrance is
by the Parish Hall outside entrance. When facing the main

entrance porch.
Catholicism - Our Tainted Nature’s Solitary Boast (Episode 4)
Next Sunday, February 26 at 4:00PM, Bishop Barron masterfully
correlates the Catholic Faith’s testimony to the revelation of God
in Christ with the vivid practices of reverence offered to his
Mother. Mary is explained as “an on-going presence, an actor in
the life of the Church.” Bishop Barron journeys to the humble
remains of Mary’s house in Nazareth, to the ruins of the ancient
city of Ephesus, and to the great Marian shrines of Lourdes and
Guadalupe to explain the Church’s teachings about Mary as the
Mother of God, the Immaculate Conception, and the dogma of
the Assumption.
MICHAELITE FATHERS COLLECTION On the weekend of
Saturday, February 25th and Sunday, February 26th, the second
collection will support the Michaelite Fathers.

Parishioners, your donation will help us, the Michaelite Fathers,
with education and formation of seminarians, who are
preparing to serve God as the Michaelite Priest in Canada and
other places in the world. Your support is greatly appreciated.
The Congregation of Saint Michael the Archangel (C.S.M.A.), also
known as the Michaelite Fathers, is a community of brothers
and priests who choose Jesus Christ as the primary object of
their love and the example to follow. The apostolic activity of
the Congregation concentrates on the ethical and educational
teaching of children and youths who are neglected both morally
and materially. We run several orphanages and oratories, which
provide children with professional help in learning, assistance
as they grow up and oftentimes, a simple meal. This help takes
place at numerous summer and winter holiday camps and
events and is supported by various groups and programs, which
exist in our parishes. We help by teaching religion, the gospel
and by our priestly service. In our work we strive to bring God's
Word to people whose religious lives have been neglected and
whose courage and self-denial need to be strengthened. We try
to teach prudence, persistence and diligence in work. We do our
best to show the value and the beauty of a life in which God is
most important. We also run a publishing house called
"Wydawnictwo Michaelineum". At present our Congregation
has 347 members, comprised of 262 priests, 6 deacons, 19
brothers, 50 seminarians and 10 novices. Fourteen priests, nine
seminarians, one brother and two novices come from other
countries.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION- FEBRUARY 23RD FROM 7:00 TO
8:00 PM Please join the parish Confirmation candidates for
Eucharistic Adoration on Thursday February 23 from 7-8
pm. Adoration will be led by a youth team from the Office of
Catholic Youth of the Archdiocese of Toronto. All are welcome
to this evening of adoration, prayer and music.

FAMILY DAY - MONDAY, FEB 20 HAPPY FAMILY DAY!!! As we
celebrate this Monday Family Day in our province, it is good to
remind ourselves the teaching of the Catholic Church on this
topic. The family contributes to the social good in an eminent
fashion through responsible motherhood and fatherhood, the
spouses' special participation in God's work of creation. For this
reason, civil society-including the State-is obliged to assure that
its customs and laws support it. Most fundamentally, neither the
State nor civil society may impinge or in any manner violate the
right to life, from conception to natural death." Rather, the civil
society and the State are obliged to "protect and promote it.
Motherhood and fatherhood must be exercised responsibly, with
full consideration of a proper hierarchy of values. This means
that that married couples must be open to life. Granted,
motherhood and fatherhood are not exercised in a vacuum. In
making their decisions, couples are entitled to consider the
"physical, economic, psychological, and social conditions" which
they confront. These present the setting in which responsible

ALL FAMILIES ARE WELCOMED TO JOIN THE CHOIR
As many parents know, bringing your kids to mass can be a
struggle. At your child's baptism, you promised to bring your
kids up through the church however, you have now noticed that,
it's easier said, than done. When your kids don't want to go, attending mass as a family can become more of a battle, then a
celebration. I remember when I was much younger, I know going
to church certainly wasn't my favourite thing to do. However, it
wasn't till I joined the choir here at Christ the King, that I truly
began to like going to mass. When I sung in the choir, I felt like I
had a purpose to be at church. I would open my book to all the
hymns we would be singing that day, and sometimes I would
even announced a hymn. Ultimately, being in the choir was much
more enjoyable and meaningful then staring at the altar for an
hour. If there are any parents experiencing this common struggle, I strongly suggest and encourage you to come up and join
our Parish Choir. Don't be shy that you and your family will be
alone, at the 10:30am Mass we always have at least 15 other
people singing, smiling, and standing right beside you. You will
help our church, yourselves, but most importantly you will help
your kids grow to be the catholic men and women our world

REFLEKSJA EWANGELICZNA: Kpł 19,1-2.17-18; 1 Kor 3,1623; Mt 5,38-48 Talmud mówi, że dar deszczu jest większy niż
dar Tory, gdyż ona została dana jedynie Izraelowi, natomiast
deszcz swoim zasięgiem ogarnia wszystkich ludzi. Jeśli zdamy
sobie sprawę z tego, jak ważna dla Żydów jest Tora,
pierwszych pięć ksiąg Pisma Świętego, to zrozumiemy
znaczenie tych słów. W doskonały sposób oddają one
wezwanie Jezusa z dzisiejszej Ewangelii do tego, aby miłować
wszystkich ludzi. Bóg jest dobry i swoją miłością ogarnia całe
stworzenie. My wezwani jesteśmy do tego, aby naśladować Go
w tej Jego miłości. Jezus nie mówi, że będzie to proste, ale
zapewnia nas, że w ten sposób będziemy synami Ojca, który
jest w niebie. Pamiętajmy o tym wezwaniu do miłości za
każdym razem, gdy wypowiadamy słowa Modlitwy Pańskiej.
Panie Jezu, Ty pragniesz, abyśmy naśladowali Ciebie w
miłości. Pomóż nam przezwyciężać wszystko to, co nas na nią

druga składka zostanie przeznaczona na cele Zgromadzenia
Księży Michalitów. Drodzy Parafianie, Wasza ofiara serca
pomoże nam, Księżom Michalitom, w formacji oraz edukacji
seminarzystów, którzy w Krakowie przygotowują się do
posługi kapłańskiej w naszym zgromadzeniu, które posługuje
w róznych regionach świata. Już dzisiaj, w imieniu naszego
Przełożonego Generalnego ks. Dariusza Wilka, pragnę wyrazić
z serca płynące podziękowanie za Waszą ofiarność. Bóg
zapłać. Działalność zgromadzenia koncentruje się na pracy
wychowawczej wśród dzieci i młodzieży szczególnie
zaniedbanej moralnie i materialnie. Zgromadzenie prowadzi

pierwszym miejscu. W celu ewangelizacji Zgromadzenie
założyło Wydawnictwo Michalineum i wydaje czasopisma
„Powściągliwość i Praca” oraz „Któż jak Bóg!”.
ŚWIĘTO RODZINY – PONIEDZIAŁEK 20 LUTEGO Jutro, tj, w
poniedziałek, w naszej prowincji, obchodzimy ŚWIĘTO
RODZINY. Z tej okazji warto sobie przypomniec katolicką
naukę na temat rodziny, która we współczesnym czasie
bardzo często przeżywa poważny kryzys. W historii Kościoła
w nauce o rodzinie i małżeństwie zawsze podkreślano
sakramentalną godność rodziny, nierozerwalność związku
małżeńskiego oraz szczególny rodzaj wspólnoty wszystkich
członków rodziny. Św. Tomasz z Akwinu nazywa rodzinę
naturalną wspólnotą dnia codziennego. Wyjaśniając, że
rozumie przez to wspólną pracę przy zajęciach domowych,
wspólnotę posiłków i ogniska domowego. Rodzina już z prawa
natury jest instytucją powołaną do wychowania młodego
pokolenia. Zadanie wychowania wypływa z najbardziej
pierwotnego powołania małżonków do uczestnictwa w
stwórczym dziele Boga: rodząc w miłości i dla miłości nową
osobę, która sama w sobie jest powołana do wzrostu i
rozwoju, rodzice tym samym podejmują zadanie umożliwienia
jej życia w pełni ludzkiego. Rodzina jest podstawową komórką
narodu, społeczeństwa i Kościoła, decydującą o zdrowiu
moralnym i prawidłowym funkcjonowaniu tych zbiorowości, a
jednocześnie ogólnie akceptowaną formą zaspokajania
zasadniczych potrzeb wchodzących w jej skład osób oraz
szerszych grup społecznych, w których uczestniczy, np.
religijnej, narodowej i społeczeństwa jako całości. W ten
sposób aktem osobowym, przez który małżonkowie
wzajemnie się sobie oddają i przyjmują, powstaje z woli Bożej
