There were many reasons quite abvious to anybody why the JDO. was more interested in the provinces,but the chief one was that there was newer special funds for Warsaw. Warsaw possesses 931,176 inhabitants,according to the last census of those are Jews or $• Warsaw possesses the best professional man in Poland s numerous philantropio.sanitary medical institutions,which work for the" lack of sufficient funds under the most? unfcvoable conditions. The JDO. invited a l l the institutions concerned wfth the work to talk the matter over. The American Bed Cross "Society of Friends"yKropla Mleka"VT-wo Przyjaoidi Dzieci" took part in the conference. It was decided to form a common committee,which would be watching that the distribution of the help would be fair. jf In order to work in full cooperation with the local instututions, JDO.send out an invitation to different local institutions,proposing them to send out 3 delegats in order to talk the matter over. 13 institutions took part in the conference . It was decided that each institution will send out one delegate and they will select then an egsecutive committee. The second conference took place the 24 November 1921. The delegates selected an egsecutive Committee consisting of 5 proffessional gentleman,which will work under the of JDO. control The nearest tasks of JDO.in Warsaw will be,if the funds will allow it The installation of X apparatus in order to remove the shamful 3tigma of favus from the polish yews. Kstablishement of a nurses school,helping the local institutions - 4 generally with medicaments,instruments,funds if possible. Propaganda work along general lines as mapped out by the •odioal propaganda department. -
