Bart Verdeyen wins national Barcelona!
Bart Verdeyen is 24 years old and works at baggage-handler
Flight Care, he’s responsible for the shipment of live animals
by plane, and yes sometimes pigeons also pass there… To Bart
a boyhood dream came true. As a young chap he won 1st national Barcelona!
He used to play together with his father Francis as a tandem,
they mainly played speed. But because of the decay of the
local speed racing, they decided on another strategy. They
started to dedicate themselves to the Middle Distance races.
6 years ago they decided to play along in their own names. Father Francis wanted to proceed on the Middle Distance races.
Bart rather wanted to seek refuge a bit further. In that optics
he searched for reinforcements for the Long Distance races
since 2008.
In 2007 father and son Verdeyen just missed an international
victory. In 2007 they hived a few pigeons for Bordeaux International. It was the first time that that kind of race was played,
and so they didn’t knew about any kind of doubling of their
hens. Had they doubled their hen then, then it would’ve won
internationally with 20 minutes from Bordeaux. But so be it…
It was a hen of the old kind from Gilbert Impanis from Schaarbeek. Speed- and Middle Distance blood that made it on the
Long Distance. Afterwards they had to declare at their own
shame that you do have to buy another type of pigeons to be
successful in Long Distance races.
Family buildup
So they went looking for reinforcements. In 2008 they bought
6 late young birds from Koen De Backer from Berendrecht.
They held 3 pigeons from those and hived all 3 of them on
Barcelona. Black Shadow won national, incredible! Furthermore they breed on an own family of Long Distance pigeons
and they bought the all best from following toppers:
-Marcel Aelbrecht
-Simon Moreels (son of his national ace pigeon and Olympiad
pigeon De Vechter)
-Brian Long (from his Red Barcelona, 1st nat. Barcelona)
the young hens and are paired with young cocks) and 45
young birds.
-Van Damme-Bodaert (Blauwe Raket, 1st nat. Souillac)
-Louis Van Paeschen (from his Bronzen Vleugel winner)
-Jan Theelen
-Noël Peiren (a daughter of the 1st nat. Brive)
-Robert Van Eycken
-And a few smaller strong playing fanciers from the region
For the speed they have the pigeons of RenéVandenbroeck,
Gilbert Impanis, Van den Wijngaart and son at the lofts.
For the Middle Distance that is: Louis Van Paesschen, Jef De
Wilder, Op de Beeck-Baetens and quite recently a firm injection with direct Pros Roosen pigeons.
From Heinz Seegmüller 10 proven top racers were bought,
among others this Miss Perpignan. She won: 22 nat. Perpignan
’05, 23 nat. Perpignan (d.)’08, 39 int. Perpignan ’05, 42 nat.
Perpignan (d.) ’06, 51 nat. Perpignan ’08, 93 nat. Dax (d.)’06,
117 nat. Perpignan ’06, 209 nat. Irun (d.)’07, 250 nat. Dax ’06,
251 int. Perpignan (d.)’06, 323 int. Perpignan (d.)’08, 590 nat.
Irun ’07, etc.
They knocked at the door of Antoon and Hilde Reynaert for a
direct son of their wonder pigeon Figo!
Besides the national victory from Barcelona, they had another
marvelous racer in 2010. How about Golden Girl, with 12 hivings and 12 prizes! A terrific ace pigeon!
The breeding loft consists of 35 breeding pairs. The racing
crew consists of 18 widowers, 5 race hens (which are between

Marzenie Barta z dzieciństwa spełniło się. Jako młody hodowca wygrał 1 narodową nagrodę z Barcelony!
Bart przez długi czas grał w tandemie ze swoim ojcem Francisem. Ich specjalnością był krótki dystans. Kiedy ranga lotów
krótkodystansowych spadła na ich terenie, zdecydowali się
startować w innej kategorii. Zaczęli lotować na średnim dystansie. 6 lat temu tandem rozdzielił się. Ojciec Francis był
zainteresowany dalszym lotowaniem na średnim dystansie.
Natomiast Bart chciał lotować na dłuższych trasach. I dlatego od 2008 roku zaczął poszukiwania gołębi zdolnych
wygrywać na lotach dalekodystansowych.
W 2007 roku ojciec i syn Verdeyen byli o krok od zwycięstwa
w locie z Bordeaux w konkurencji miedzynarodowej. To był
pierwszy raz, kiedy wzięli udział w tego rodzaju zawodach i
nie mając odpowiedniego doświadczenia popełnili błąd w
typowaniu.Gdyby nie to – już wtedy ich samiczka wygrała
by ten prestiżowy lot w klasyfikacji międzynarodowej z 20
minutowym wyprzedzeniem nad kolejnym gołębiem! Ale co
się odwlecze...
To była samiczka starej linii gołębi Gilberta Impanisa z
Schaarbeek. W jej żyłach płynęła krew gołebi krótko i
średniodystansowych i pokazała tę szybkość na długim dystansie. Mimo to zdecydowali, że muszą zakupić innego typu
gołębie, aby osiągnąć sukces w lotach na długim dystansie.
Geneza hodowli
Postanowili więc poszukać gołębi, które wzmocnią ich
drużynę. W 2008 roku kupili 6 późnych młodych ptaków od
Koena De Backera z Berendrecht. Dla siebie zatrzymali 3 z
tych gołębi i później te 3 gołębie wystawili do lotu z Barcelony. I stała się rzecz niesamowita. Black Shadow wygrał
Barcelonę!

Poza zwycięzcą z Barcelony, mieli kolejną niesamowitą
lotniczkę w 2010 roku. Golden Girl, która na 12 lotów
zdobyła 12 nagród! W belgii to rzadki wyczyn – wspaniały
gołąb –prawdziwy AS!
Gołębnik hodowlany składa się z 35 par rozpłodowych.
Natomiast drużynę lotową tworzy 18 wdowców, 5 lotowanych samic (które przebywają w gołębniku młodych gołębi i
połączone są w pary z młodymi samcami) oraz 45 młodych
ptaków.

Dla poprawy szybkości mają też gołębie od René Vandenbroeck, GilbertaImpanis, Van den Wijngaarta i syna oraz
średnio dystansowe gołębie od: Louisa Van Paesschena,
Jefa De Wildera, Opa de Beeck-Baetens, a całkiem niedawno
przeprowadzili bezpośredni zakup gołębi od słynnego Prosa
Roosen.
Do tego od Heinza Seegmullera dokupili 10 czołowych lotników, m.in. Miss Perpignan, która zdobyła 22 narodową i 39
międzynarodową nagrodę w locie z Perpignan w roku 2005,
42 narodową i 117 międzynarodową nagrodę w locie z Perpignan w 2006 roku, 23 narodową i 51 międzynarodową z
Perpignan w 2008 roku, oraz 93 i 250 narodową w lotach z
Dax w roku 2006 i 209 oraz 590 narodową w lotach z Irun
w 2007 roku.

Van Elsacker-Jepsen: King of the Middle Distance!
Serge Van Elsacker (52 jaar) and former ship repairman at the
docks in Antwerp hasn’t stolen his nickname. A few years ago
he became King in the cast-iron Union Antwerpen combination.
He was then the youngest King ever. In the meanwhile he laces
up the championship-, ace pigeon- and king titles. Also in Poland he will have an Olympiad pigeon in the Middle Distance
once again. Since 1976 Serge and Kirsten are between the
champions. Unfortunately Kirsten has to leave active pigeon
racing for what it is since about 5 years, due to an allergy.
Family buildup
‘Den 23’ was at the end of the ‘80s a top breeder and formed
himself as a true basic father. He was a cross breed of Meulemans x Stoces. Direct children of this ‘Den 23’ won 6 ace pigeons in Union Antwerpen, 2 Olympiad pigeons,…
With the addition of pigeons from Willy van Berendonck and
villager William Geerts the Meulemans pigeons, besides the
Stoces pigeons from Maurits Bonte, kept playing an important
role in the out build of the colony. Van Elsacker found successful
breeding material mainly at the late Jos Leuris from Ulicoten in
Holland, mainly Klak pigeons. With his northern neighbours the
champion from Schilde found even more breeding products of
Janssen-origin. ‘Lucky Lady’ came from these Janssen pigeons.
This hen ended with the best ten Ace pigeons from Belgium
and won three first prizes!
In 1995 Van Elsacker visited the total sale of Alfons Nijs from
Arendonk. He went home with two top pigeons, knowing ‘De
Jonge Witstaartstier’ and ‘Geschifte Hofkens’. From Heinz Brune & son from Germany he got some Louis Deleus-pigeons.
Serge also went himself to Boortmeerbeek to buy 20 direct at
Deleus. Offspring meanwhile won 1st Provincial Chateauroux
2002 and 1st Provincial Chateauroux 2003 (7 minutes ahead!).
The last acquisitions are a few direct Gaby Vandenabeele pigeons. Who already earned their stripes, because 2nd Olympiad
pigeon 2011 from Van Elsacker, Speedy Gonzalez, has Vandenabeele-blood!

2nd Olympiad pigeon Middle Distance in Poznan. Speedy became 2nd nat. ace pigeon KBDB Middle Distance, he became
3rd prov. ace pigeon Long Distance old birds. Then Roxy also
3rde ace pigeon old birds in Union Antwerpen. How about Super Bourgeske, 1st ace pigeon KFC yearlings, with early national prizes from Bourges and La Souterraine?

Above results were gained with 24 old pigeons, 68 yearlings, 35
breeding pairs and yearly about 200 young birds are weaned.
These pigeons are played in Union Antwerpen for the Middle
Distance, in the Duivenbond Schilde for the Noyon races and
for the provincial races it goes to Kempische Fondclub.

Serge Van Elsacker (52 lata) jest byłym mechanikiem
okrętowym stoczni w Antwerpii. Kilka lat temu zdobył tytuł
Króla Unii Antwerpskiej. Był wtedy najmłodszym hodowcą,
któremu udało się uzyskać ten tytuł. Od tamtego czasu
zdobył jeszcze mistrzostwo, gołębiego asa i kolejne tytuły
króla. Także na Olimpiadzie w Polsce jego gołąb reprezentuje Belgię w lotach średniodystansowych. Od 1976 roku
Serge i Kirsten stale są w ścisłej czołówce. Niestety Kirsten
z powodu alergii od 5 lat nie może zajmować się gołębiami.
Geneza hodowli
Gołąb “Den 23” był czołowym rozpłodowcem pod koniec
lat 80-tych i stał się podstawą jego hodowli na długie lata.
Gołąb ten pochodzi z krzyżówki gołębi Meulemans x Stoces.
Bezpośrednie potomstwo tego ptaka zdobyło 6- kortnie tytuł
gołębiego Asa Unii Antwerpskiej a 2 gołębie reprezentowały
Belgię na Olimpiadach.
Dodatkowo wprowadził gołębie od Willy’ego van Berendoncka i Williama Geertsa, które w połączeniu z posiadanymi już
gołębiami Meulemans i Stoces od Mauritsa Bonte odegrały
kluczową rolę w budowie gołębiej kolonii Wiily’ego. Van
Elsacker sprowadził również do swojej hodowli materiał od
Josa Leurias z Ulicoten w Holandii. Głównie były to gołębie
de Klak. Mistrz z Schilde dokupił jeszcze kilka ptaków z Holandii głównie z Janssenów. “Lucky Lady” pochodzi właśnie
z tych gołębi Janssen. Samiczka ta zdobyła trzy pierwsze nagrody i była w dziesiątce najlepszych Asów Belgii.
W roku 1995 Van Elsacker zakupił na wyprzedaży gołębi
Alfonsa Nijs z Arendonk dwa jego czołowe gołębie zwane
“De Jonge Witstaartstier” i “Geschifte Hofkens”. Od Heinz
Brune z Niemiec nabył gołębie Louisa Deleus. Serge udał
się także do Boortmeerbeek gdzie zakupił 20 oryginalnych Deleusów. Potomstwo tych gołębi wygrało 1. nagrodę
prowincjonalną w locie Chateauroux w roku 2002 oraz 1.
nagrodę prowincjonalną w locie Chateauroux w roku 2003
(z 7 minutowym wyprzedzeniem!). Ostatnio zakupił jeszcze
kilka gołębi od Gaby Vandenabeele, które doskonale się
wkomponowały w jego hodowlę. Drugi gołąb (Speedy Gonzalez) reprezentujący gołębnik Van Elsacker na Olimpiadzie
w Poznaniu ma w sobie krew gołebi Vandenabeele!

średnim dystansie, jest także 3-cim prowincjonalnym Asem
na długim dystansie w lotach gołębi starych.
Następny ptak to „Roxy” również 3-ci prowincjonalny As w
lotach gołębi starych w Unii Antwerpskiej.
Nie zapominajmy również o „Super Bourgeske” pierwszym
gołębim Asem wsród gołębi rocznych w KFC, która osiągnęła
czołowe miejsca w lotach z Bourges i La Souterraine w konkurencji narodowej.

Powyższe wyniki uzyskane zostały przez hodowlę, która corocznie liczy 24 starych gołębi i 68 roczniaków. Van Elsacker posiada też 35 par rozpłodowych. Rocznie wychowuje
około 200 młodych. Te gołębie uczestniczą w lotach w Unii
Antwerpskiej w klubie Duivenbond Schilde w lotach krótkich - do lotu z Noyon oraz w klubie Kempische Fondclub na
lotach dalekich.

Danny Senden lives in the Kustraat in Schakkebroek in Limburg, a borough of Herk-de-Stad. Together with his brother
and caretaker Luc he runs a strong and ambitious loft. They
conquered the first provincial victory in 1990 (Chateauroux).
In 1996 the Senden-brothers were auto winner from Bourges.
From the year 2000 it went quickly to the top, with among
others provincial champion yearlings LFC (2002), all round
champion of the strong Long Distance club Herkvallei (2003)
and a new provincial victory from Chateauroux in 2004. These
nice results were always achieved with the small hive. Even
more amazing: both in 2004 and in 2009 they won provincial Chateauroux and Montauban with barely 1 pigeon on the
poule letter, and that always in rough weather. It’s sure that
2009 was the top year up to now with among others 1st prov.
Montauban (2nd nat. Zone C and 2nd nat.); 1st prov. Argenton
young birds (2nd nat. Zone C and 3rd nat.); honor award KBDB
Argenton young birds Cureghem Centre National; 1st prizes
Montauban, and so on.
On the track record 2010 are among others 1st, 2nd and 3rd
ace pigeon young birds Light Long Distance Sint-Truiden; 3rd
prov. Chateauroux old pigeons; 1st Chateauroux Fondclub St.
Truiden; 3rd best young birds of Belgium on the national races Bourges, Argenton and Gueret; 8th and 16th provincial
Gueret, and so on.
Pedigree buildup
Danny and Luc are ambitious pigeon fanciers, that dedicate
their successes to their severely strict selection and to Pros
Roosen. About 70 percent of the Senden-pigeons descend
from grand master Pros Roosen, particularly from his king
pigeons ‘Freddy’ and ‘Blauwe Prins’. ‘Blauwe Prins’ was just
sold for 156.000 euro at the recent sale of the colony of Pros
Roosen, an absolute record amount. The offspring of ‘Blauwe
Prins’ are guaranteed at Danny Senden for marvelous breeding results. An example: 5177958-09, a grandson of ‘Freddy’, paired with 5118824-06 of Romain Schots, delivered in
2010 already 3 top pigeons: 5041627-10 (prov. 11/2890),
5041660-10 (prov. La Souterraine 26/1047) and 504164410 (prov. Vierzon 39/511 ánd Gueret 16/775)).
Danny Senden mieszka przy ulicy Kustraat w mieście Schakkebroek w prowincji Limburgia. Razem ze swoim bratem i opiekunem o imieniu Luc prowadzi silną i ambitną hodowlę. Pierwsze
prowincjonalne zwycięstwo odnieśli w 1990 (z Chateauroux).
W 1996 bracia Senden wygrali samochód zwyciężając w locie
z Bourges. Od roku 2000 szybko wzbili się na szczyt, zostając
prowincjonalnymi mistrzami gołębi rocznych LFC (2002), mistrzami silnego długodystansowego klubu Herkvallei (2003) a
także osiągając prowincjonalne zwycięstwo z Chateauroux w
2004. Te wspaniałe rezultaty były osiągane niewielką ilością

Geneza hodowli.
Danny i Luc są ambitnymi miłośnikami gołębi,
zawdzięczającymi swoje sukcesy ostrej selekcji, a także mistrzowi sportu gołębiarskiego - Prosowi Roosen. 70 procent
gołębi Sendenów wywodzi się właśnie od Roosena - szczególnie z jego królewskiej pary “Freddy” i “Blauwe Prins”. „Blauwe
Prins” została niedawno sprzedana na aukcji za rekordową
sumę 156 000 euro. Potomstwo “Blauwe Prins” zapewnia Dannemu wspaniałe rezultaty hodowlane. Na przykład
ptak 5177958-09 - wnuk gołębia “Freddy”, w połączeniu z
5118824-06 samiczką od Romaina Schotsa wydał w 2010

The Breeding and Training Center Pigeon Racing Belgium
(Kweek en Training Center Duivensport België), shortly Breeding Center Heusden, opened its doors last year. Rudi Hendrikx, top pigeon fancier and veterinary started the unique
project. Young birds out of 75 top pairs are bred in separate
breeding boxes here and both the pigeon fancier and the
non-pigeon fancier are catered for. You can buy young birds
there for own use or to place at the spot in the roomy attic
lofts. Their performances, even those during training flights,
can be followed from home by computer. Everything happens according to art and best practices. The demand for
young birds has increased enormously thanks to the success
on other lofts and of course thanks to the own successes of
the Breeding Center the past year. Between the strictly selected breeding couples house at least 5 semi-national or zonal winners, numerous of provincial winners and more than
40 first prize winners. Newest acquisition of this year is the
1st semi-national Jarnac. The young birds are sold at a price
of €65 per pigeon. The young birds can also be collected in
Heusden-Zolder during the weekend they normally get delivered. Do mind: the draft 2011 is completely sold out for the
first rounds. A new draft will only be available from May.
Playing at the spot
Besides the breeding program a lot of attention goes to the
playing of the young birds at the spot. This system is unique
and knew a lot of success immediately from the start last year.
Individual pigeon fanciers and non-pigeon fanciers bought
a pigeon that was then played at the spot. Interesting fact is
that you can follow the results at home by computer. Furthermore the owners get informed by mail of the acts and fortunes of their ‘poulain’. Besides individual interested people,
associations and organizations also took the opportunity to
play with the pigeons this way. Some even made a mutual
competition out of it.
A young bird of the A-class cost 65 euro. There are also young
birds of the Elite-class, the price of them depends on the involved pairs. The attention for young birds is very big. That
surely has to do with the fine results the young birds gained
here in 2010. People can already subscribe and buy. But they
can only choose when they are trained. The ones that subscribed first get first choice. The young birds get divided in
two departments: Middle Distance and the Nationals. The
Centrum hodowlano - treningowe gołębi pocztowych (Kweek en
Training Center Duivensport België) zostało otwarte w ubiegłym
roku. Autorem tego unikatowego projektu jest czołowy hodowca i weterynarz Dr Rudi Hendrikx. Młode gołębie wywodzą
się z 75 par rozpłodowych, z których każda przebywa w oddzielnym boksie. Centrum zadowala potrzeby hodowców ale
również miłośników gołębi, którzy nie mają czasu i warunków
do hodowania gołębi w miejscu zamieszkania. Istnieje tu bowiem możliwość zakupu gołębi na własny użytek, lecz także
można zakupione gołębie umieścić w centrum treningowym.
Ich wyniki, nawet z lotów szkoleniowych, można śledzić z dowolnego miejsca na ziemi za pomocą komputera. Wszystko jest
tu w najwyższym standardzie. W ostatnich miesiącach zapotrzebowanie na młodzież znacznie wzrosło, dzięki sukcesowi
wyhodowanych tu gołębi na innych gołębnikach, a także dzięki
własnym sukcesom Centrum. Starannie wyselekcjonowane pary
hodowlane wydały w ubiegłym roku pięciu pół-narodowych i
między prowincjonalnych zwycięzców a także wielu zwycięzców
prowincjonalnych. W sumie młode gołębie wychowane w Centrum „Duivensport België” zdobyły w roku 2010 ponad 40
pierwszych miejsc. Najnowszym nabytkiem tego roku jest zdobywca 1 miejsca w konkurencji pół-narodowej w locie z Jarnac.
Młode są sprzedawane w cenie 65 euro za gołębia. Młodzież
może być również bezpośrednio odebrana w Heusden-Zolder,
nawet podczas weekendu. Wszystkie gołębie z pierwszego lęgu
w 2011 roku już są zamówione. W tej chwili można zamawiać
ptaki z lęgu majowego.
Zasady utrzymania gołębi w Centrum.
Oprócz programu hodowlanego wiele uwagi poświęca się to
gołębiom młodym, które tu na miejscu biorą udział w lotach.
Jest unikalny system na skalę światową. Zapewnił on wiele sukcesów już w pierwszym roku funkcjonowania.
Właściciele gołębi zamieszkujących Centrum śledzą ich wyniki w domu na ekranie komputera. Ponadto otrzymują oni
informacje o zwycięstwach ich gołębi drogą mailową. Oprócz
stay per pigeon costs 15 euros a month, all-in: traveling costs
for races and trainings, rings, medical treatment, and so on…
Meeting place
The center is a meeting place for pigeon racing, for pigeon fanciers and non-pigeon fanciers. It puts pigeon racing in a positive spotlight. “Not the biggest, but surely the most intimate
pigeon loft from Belgium’, says the subtitle of the project.
Most important breeds
Speed:
Patrick Lismont Bekkevoort: The best speed player of the past
few years in Belgium. The orders are tripled in three years time.
How come? Simply because that many people succeeded with
Lismont pigeons from the first hour!
Van Nederpelt: The Van Nederpelt pigeons are doing marvelous for years, both in Heusden-Zolder as in other lofts. Fast
but also strong until 500km. De Robin, Zonnette, Argentina.
Direct children of these top pigeons house at our Breeding
Center.
Middle Distance:
Dirk Van Dyck Zandhoven: Top class, you can’t think of a better
name than that for the pigeons from Zandhoven! Direct offspring of the world famous Cannibal line house in Heusden.
The first week of racing in Heusden was immediately bingo,
with indeed a 100% Van Dyck pigeon!
J&J Engels Putte: We obviously don’t have to introduce Jos
and Jules, nor evidentially their ‘231’ and ‘178’. How many
good pigeons have come out of there is practically uncountable. The offspring at our Breeding Center practically all have
‘231’ blood in their veins! Top quality!
Leon Jacobs Tremelo: Not yet most known in general pigeon
racing but surely is known to people that follow the sport from
closer on. Winner of the auto in our Duivenkrant championship
and even this year 1st and 2nd provincial Gueret and 1st prov.
Blois! Jacobs pigeons are also doing well at other lofts. The late
Pros Roosen bought in 2010 a round of pigeons from Leon and
demolished Limburg with these pigeons on Argenton! A small
colony full of quality. It doesn’t have to be more than that.
Op de Beeck-Baetens Putte: Last year National winner form
Bourges and he also played a strong season this year. The purveyor at the loft Poortvliet, that has to thank the Op de BeeckBaetens pigeons for a lot of his successes. They also do well

kiedy będą one trenowane. Ci którzy zamówili wcześniej
mają pierwszeństwo wyboru. Młodzież dzieli się na dwie grupy: średniodystansową, i te, które będą brały udział w lotach
narodowych. Miesięczny koszt utrzymania 1 gołębia wynosi
15 euro, wliczając w to opiekę medyczną, koszty utrzymania,
obrączek, transportu i treningu.
Miejsce spotkań
Centrum jest miejscem spotkań miłośników gołębi i nie tylko. Przedstawia wyścigi gołębi w pozytywnym świetle . “Nie
największy, ale na pewno najbardziej kameralny w Belgii”,
mówi podtytuł projektu.
Najważniejsze rasy
Krótki dystans:
Patrick Lismont. Najlepszy gracz od kilku lat na krótkim dystansie w Belgii. Zamówienie musiało być składane trzykrotnie w
ciągu ostatnich trzech lat. Jak to możliwe? Po prostu dlatego, że
wielu ludzi odniosło sukces z gołębiami Lismont od pierwszych
chwil po ich nabyciu!
Średni dystans:
Dirk Van Dyck. Top klasa!, Nie można inaczej nazwać gołębi
z Zandhoven! Bezpośrednie potomstwo słynnego na cały
świat Cannibala znajduje się w Heusden. Zakup tych gołębi
to przysłowiowy strzał w dziesiątkę. Już w pierwszym locie
zwyciężył czysty gołąb Van Dyck.
Leon Jacobs z Tremolo. Dotychczas mało popularny, ale dobrze znany tym, którzy dokładnie śledzą nasz sport. Wygrał
at our Training Center. On Gueret the 5th prov. was won with a
100% Op de Beeck-Baetens pigeon!
Rudi Hendrikx Maasmechelen: This year provincial champion
Middle Distance. A handful of yearlings made the weather
in Maasmechelen! Evidentially some pairs from the all best
moved to the Breeding Center. Each year a steady value at the
Middle Distance races!
White or grey pigeons: Very much wanted in our Breeding
Center because of their colour and their qualities. Few white
pigeons perform this strong as those of the Breeding Center.
This year an old one was added that has a record of not less
than 5 first prizes.
Carbon black pigeons: Our carbon black pigeons also come
from performance lines. Colours and performances are put together here also. Not easy, but are to be found at our Breeding
Center!
First prize winners: Since last year we have presented this
group of pigeons and with success. Both mother and father
won at least a first prize. Here the descent doesn’t matter, only
the result!
Red or Pale pigeons: Out of the best breeds come Red pigeons. Lismont, Jacobs, Houflijn, all toppers of which red pigeons
have replenished our ranks!
Cross products: New in our range this year. A number of pairs
were crossed from above pigeon fanciers. Why? Because cross
products often perform better than pure. On demand of pigeon fanciers that buy our pigeons to play in this new category!
Good x good=excellent!
Long Distance:
P&D Houflijn: Directly from the heart of the colony and it was
bingo immediately. A 100% Houflijn pigeon did excellent at
our Training Center and crowned its season with a first prize.
Top pigeons at numerous other lofts were born from the Houflijn pigeons!
Marcel Aelbrecht: Multiple National champion and supplier of
top pigeons in homeland and abroad. Aelbrecht pigeons are
hot! Including at our Breeding Center!
Brinkman: The Brinkman pigeons are crossed often in Belgium
for their stamina and vitality! Pigeons for 1000km and more.
For the real heavy duty.
Wijnands and son Maastricht: After their sale of 2 years
ago their pigeons are almost unaffordable. We have direct
Wijnandses at our loft. Heavy Long Distance! Stamina and perseverance. Never give up, that’s the Wijnands pigeons!

z Argenton! Mała hodowla, ale najwyższej jakości. Nie trzeba
dodawać nic więcej.
Op de Beeck-Baetens z Putte. W ubiegłym roku zwyciężył w locie narodowym z Bourges, poza tym był mocnym graczem przez
cały sezon. Gołębie te bardzo dobrze spisują się także w naszym Centrum. Piątą prowincjonalną nagrodę z Gueret zdobył
właśnie 100% gołąb od Op Beeck-Baetens!
Rudi Hendrikx z Maasmechelen. W tym roku prowincjonalny
mistrz na średnim dystansie. Garstka roczniaków sprawiła, że
gołębniki w Maasmechelen znów błyszczą w blasku słońca!
Kilka najlepszych par przeniósł do Centrum Hodowlanego.
Każdego roku mocny gracz na średnim dystansie.
Długi dystans:
Patrick i Dimitri Houflijn. Sprowadzenie tych gołębi to „strzał
w 10”! Wszystkie gołębie Houflijn doskonale sprawdziły się
w naszym Centrum i ukoronowaniem tego jest z pierwsza nagroda. Najlepsze gołębie w wielu gołębnikach wywodzą się z
gołębi od Houflijnów!
Marcel Aelbrecht. Wielokrotny mistrz i „dostawca” najwyższej
jakości gołębi w kraju i za granicę. Gołębie Aelbrecht są obecnie bardzo pożądane! W naszym Centrum także!
Herman Brinkman. Gołębie Brinkman często są w Belgii wykorzystywane do krzyżówek ze względu na ich wytrzymałość i
żywotność! Są to gołębie na loty z 1000 i więcej kilometrów. Na
prawdziwie ciężkie loty.
Wijnands i syn z Maastricht: Po wyprzedaży 2 lata temu, obecnie
ich gołębie są praktycznie nieosiągalne. Mamy bezpośrednie
Wijnandsy w naszym gołębniku. Są to ptaki na ciężkie i długie
loty! Nigdy się nie poddają, to ich znak firmowy!

When we tell you that Burkhard is a pigeon fancier for barely 8
years, you will probably realize that the national victory is even
more fabulous. In 2002 the first pigeons came to the lofts. And
although Burkhard knew clearly from the start that he wanted
to race Long Distance, a few Middle Distance pigeons came
to the lofts. You know how that goes, a starting fancier often
gets some pigeons here and there. However it’s exactly that
mix of Long Distance pigeons and Middle Distance blood that
makes the success. At this time there are a lot of Long Distance
racers who cross in Middle Distance blood to make their pigeons faster, with Heller it was a bit of luck. As safety inspector
for “Bundes Landschaft” it’s not always that easy to be on time
and strict in the caretaking but mother and father, both in the

2002 roku. I choć Burkhard wiedział jasno od początku, że
chce specjalizować się w lotach długodystansowych, kilka
średniodystansowych ptaków znalazło się również w jego
hodowli. Wszyscy wiemy jak to wygląda na początku, gdy
młodzi hodowcy dostają kilka gołębi w prezencie od bardziej doświadczonych kolegów. Jednak to właśnie krzyżówka
gołębi na dalekie dystanse z średniodystansowymi
przyniosła mu sukces. W obecnej chwili, wielu hodowców
specjalizujących się w lotach na dalekim dystansie z różnym
skutkiem wprowadza krew gołębi średniodystansowych w
celu poprawienia szybkości. Hellerowi się to powiodło. Jako
inspektor bezpieczeństwa “Bundes Landschaft” nie zawsze ma wystarczająco dużo czasu dla gołębi, ale zarówno
matka, jak i ojciec, pomagają mu w utrzymaniu czystości w
gołębnikach, a także w opiece nad gołębiami.
Geneza hodowli
Burkhard pojechał na wystawę gołębi w Dortmundzie,
wkrótce po tym, jak został hodowcą gołębi, w celu pozyskania informacji. W ten sposób odnalazł w jednym z licznych
katalogów długodystansowy gołębnik Hagens z Holandii.
Podszedł do nich, ale gdy usłyszał cenę, niewiele brakowało
by zemdlał z wrażenia. W końcu umówił się że kupi 3
gołębie w cenie dwóch. Okazało się, że zrobił świetny interes! “Zysk lepszy niż na moim koncie oszczędnościowym”
- żartował zwycięzca. Tak więc krew gołębi Hagens tworzy
podwaliny hodowli Hellera. Ojciec zwycięzcy pochodzi
bezpośrednio od Hagensa, matka ma w rodowodzie krew
średniodystansowych belgijskich gołębi, Hofkensa, Engelsów, ale także El Torro z Broers z La Calamine. Ten czerwony samiec, który stał się asem czasem bywa nazywany
“Samotny Lotnik”! Drugi i trzeci gołąb to jego pół-siostry,
obydwie z ojca bezpośrednio od Carlo Berghmansa z Mol.
System
Na tej samej wystawie w Niemczech poznał Dr Rudiego
Hendrikxa z Belgii, nawiązał z nim rozmowę i postanowił go
odwiedzić. I otrzymał od niego jeszcze kilka rad, nie tylko
medycznych. “Jeśli chcesz osiągnąć wysoki poziom w krótkim okresie, musisz hodować dużo, lotować dużo i ostro
selekcjonować gołębie”, taka była jego rada. Postanowił
podążyć tą drogą. Każdego roku hodował setki gołębi, które
w roku urodzenia trenowane były tylko do 240 km. Wszystkie
są poddawane próbie jako roczniaki. Muszą przelecieć one
Niemiecki program lotowy, który kończy się lotem z Brive
(720 km). Każdy gołąb, który jako roczniak przetrwał ten program, ma szanse stać się dobrym lotnikiem w lotach gołębi

Rudiego było: “Jeśli chcesz dobrze grać, musisz grać z samcami wdowieństwem, jeśli chcesz naprawdę zdobyć czołową
nagrodę, musisz posyłać samice od sześciodniowych
młodych.” Tę wskazówkę również postanowił wziąć sobie do
serca i połowę drużyny lotował od 5 - 7 dniowych młodych,
drugą połowę zaś wdowieństwem. Faktem jest, że spośród
gołębi, które były posłane na Barcelonę 3 gołębie to samice,
a czwarty był wdowcem. Łącznie zdobyły cztery nagrody na
cztery włożone gołębie!
“Hoduj dużo, lotuj dużo i ostro selekcjonuj.”
Gołębie trenowane są w Spartańskich warunkach i nigdy nie
zostają w domu ze względu na złą pogodę. “W drodze pow-

Gołębniki
Gołębie nie muszą mieć luksusu. Niejednokrotnie już
to udowodniono, a ten gołębnik jest tego najlepszym
przykładem. Z zewnątrz jest wykonany z drewna. “Dach nie
posiada szczytu, dlatego musiałem zastosować wentylację
wymuszoną”, wyjaśnienia Burkhardt. “Z przodu umieściłem
mały wentylator, który jest zasłaniany przez umieszczenie
plastikowej płytki, a przed nim umieszczona jest druciana
krata z zasuwką. Otwieram i zamykam tę zasuwę, według
własnej intuicji. Z tyłu jest podobnie, są także otwierane
okna. Tak więc codziennie otwieram i zamykam zasuwy, w
zależności od kierunku wiatru i temperatury. Tym sposobem
w gołębniku jest zawsze dużo świeżego powietrza ale nie
ma przeciągu”.
“Jeśli chcesz dobrze lecieć, lotuj wdowcami, ale jeśli chcesz
zdobywać czołowe nagrody w lotach długodystansowych,
musisz lotować samicami od 7 dniowych młodych”.
Dach jest izolowany przy zastosowaniu płyt izolacyjnych. Dzięki temu zimne powietrze nie opada nocą na
przebywające w gołębniku ptaki. Wewnątrz, mam przedział
dla samic lotowanych z gniazda, gołębnik dla wdowców,
a także pomieszczenie, w którym znajduję się regał spoczynkowy dla samic, które są partnerkami wdowców. Nieco
dalej jest gołębnik młodych z wolierą umieszczoną na
przedniej ścianie. Nie poświęca się tu zbyt wiele uwagi
gołębiom młodym, są one tylko trenowane. To naprawdę
nie są luksusowe gołębniki “, Heller próbuje przepraszać.
Ale to oczywiście nie jest konieczne. Luksus jest potrzebny
hodowcom a nie gołębiom”. Nawet przysłowiowy kurnik

Philippe Dobbelaere, an established
name in Oost-Vlaanderen
Giving through the sport from childhood on, is quite often a
saying that contains a lot of truth. As a 13 year old Philippe
was already confronted with pigeon racing via his father Roger, at the time being still at the parental courtyard in St.
Martens-Leerne. All kinds of small tasks were for the account of Philippe and now years later, in Olsene, on his own
feet, he still profits of that. His own ‘pigeon career’ started in
1988, in geographically speaking almost the most difficult
place in Belgium, hiving and playing together at barely 5km
of the province border isn’t always that evidential.
For the pedigree buildup Philippe could harvest from the all
best in St. Martens-Leerne. Over there the race was direct
via grandfather Jules Dobbelaere from Oscar De Vriendt
from Moere, Daniël Martens from Drongen, Jules Rijckaert
St. Amandsberg and Lefevre-Dhaenens Zulte via Raf Van
Laere from Kruishoutem. Father Roger became the first provincial champion Oost-Vlaanderen in 1978 with offspring of
these. With Philippe the pedigree buildup happened via ‘De
Zwarten 4113028/82’, a real whopper. He won during his
career 97 prizes of which 61 per 10th and 4 years in a row
he classified in the provincial championships. ‘Het Souteraintje 4113039/82’ flew in its birth year 1st Orleans out of
734 contestans; 2nd National La Souteraine out of 10110
contestants and 6th National La Souterraine out of 7052
contestants. This base was completed with Roger Colenberghe Zulte, Paul Coopman Den Helder, Luc Vande Rivierte
St. Martens-Leerne, Hervé Verstaen, Bouckaert-Denier and
Michel Callens all from Olsene, Reinholt Wolf from Deerlijk,
Antoon Van Houtte Machelen and Ginette Pottillius Menen,
Raf Van Temsche St. Eloois Vijve. Out of this mix Philippe
bred a current Heavy Middle Distance pigeon that meets
the current racing rhythm, has besides power and stamina
enough speed and stamina to really fly in top position.

Powiedzenie „czym skorupka za młodu nasiąknie....” ma w sobie wiele prawdy. Philippe już jako 13-letni chłopiec, pomagał
ojcu Rogerowi zajmować się gołębiami. Philippe wykonywał
wszelkiego rodzaju mniej znaczące zadania. Działo się to jeszcze w rodzinnej posiadłości w Sint Martens-Leerne. Teraz
kilkanaście lat później, w miejscowości Olsene zbudował nową
hodowlę wykorzystując doświadczenie zdobyte przy ojcu.
Jego własna “kariera gołębiarska” rozpoczęła się w 1988 r., w
geograficznie rzecz ujmując, jednym z najtrudniejszych miejsc w Belgii. Będąc usytułowanym zaledwie 5 km od granicy
prowincji, a także oddalonym od rywali i konkurować z nimi z
sukcesami, to nie zdarza się często.
Do zbudowania hodowli Philippe pozyskiwał gołebie od wszystkich najlepszych hodowców z okoloc St. Martens-Leerne
dzięki znajomościom dziadka Julesa Dobbelaere z Oscar. Jego
ptaki wywodzą się bezpośrednio od takich hodowców jak De
Vriendt z Moere, Daniel Martens z Drongen, Jules Rijckaert
St. Amandsberg oraz Lefevre-Dhaenens Zulte przez Rafa Van
Laere z Kruishoutem. Ojciec Roger z potomstwem ptaków z
tych hodowli w roku 1978 został pierwszym prowincjonalnym
mistrzem Wschodniej Flandrii. Hodowla Philippa znacznie się
rozwinęła dzięki gołębiom:

wytrzymują trudy sezonu, a także są wystarczająco mocne i
szybkie, by plasować się na czołowych pozycjach list konkursowych.
Philippe zdaje sobie sprawę, że stanie w miejscu jest w
rzeczywistości cofaniem się, dlatego do swojej hodowli nadal wprowadza z powodzeniem kolejne gołębie. Od Camiela
Van Wijnsberghe z Waregem i André De Smijter z Machelen.
Czołowym zakupem pod koniec 2003 roku było nabycie na
całkowitej wyprzedaży gołębi hodowcy De Rauw-Sablon
bezpośredniego potomstwa ptaka “De Rom” od Silvere Toye z
Otegem uznawane za jeszcze lepszą markę oryginału. Tak Philippe stał się posiadaczem gołębi nie za olbrzymie pieniądze,
nie od hodowców ze znanymi nazwiskami, ale klasowych i
sprawdzonych w jego własnym regionie.
Philippe wychowuje tylko jeden lęg młodych i do tej pory
lotował nimi z gniazda, ale uważa to za nienajlepsze rozwiazanie, gdyż często zdaża się przy tej medodzie, że z powodu
słabszej motywacji ptaków początek sezonu jest stracony. Za
to w miesiącach letnich wszystko szło bardzo ładne i wspaniałe
wyniki były osiągane właśnie dzięki metodzie gniazdowej (w

Belgii sezon lotów młodymi rozpoczyna się kilka miesięcy
wcześniej niż w Polsce).
Teraz w nowym roku zamierza rozdzielić je według płci i będzie
lotował młodymi metodą przesuwanych drzwi - odmianą formy wdowieństwa.
Lotowanie starymi gołębiami oparte jest na wdowieństwie samic. Philippe uzyskuje wspaniałe wyniki przy zastosowaniu tej
metody. Sukces jaki osiągnął oparty jest na doskonałych samiczkach z roczników 2006 i 2007, które bardzo dobrze latały
już w lotach gołębi młodych. W roku 2007 młode samiczki
nadal spisywały się dobrze i ten system został utrzymany w
roku 2008 z doskonałymi wynikami. Taki model postępowania
z gołębiami wypracował Remy De Mey z Booischot i doskonale
spełnia się on również u Philippa.
Philippe, entuzjasta , często jest w drodze ze względu na charakter swojej pracy, ale na szczęście zawsze może liczyć na
pomoc swojej żony Marii. Jest ona niezwykle ważnym ogniwem sukcesu. Szczególnie wiosną trenując młode gołebie. To
kolejny przykład sukcesu z pomocą kobiecej ręki. Rok 2010
był wspaniały dzięki gołębiowi Brigitte 4022161/2007, która
została sklasyfikowana jako 2-gi gołąb Belgii w kategorii B. Ptak

Situating
The pigeon colony of the tandem Decoster-Schollier is planted on the plateau of Wijnendale. Alongside the connecting
road of two castles, in a borough of the eldest city of the
county Flanders, Torhout. An utter wooded area, central at
about 20 km from the sea, Brugge and the front cities of
World War I. During the training the pigeons can still enjoy
the pure nature!
The fanciers
Both Freddy and Suzy were brought up in a pigeon racing
environment because both of their fathers were pigeon
fanciers! Nearly 20 years they’ve been playing as a tandem
under the name of Decoster-Schollier. In the area of pigeons they complete each other wonderfully. Freddy likes ‘taking care’ of pigeons pragmatically, structured, rational and
strictly consequent. While Suzy adds the motivating, soft
and emotional touch! What started off as a hobby for both
of them, is now evolving, just like the world around, from a
collective happening to a more individual specialization. In
this case scoring on the National races One Day Long Distance up to 700 km. Freddy and Suzy also evolved in the
world of nutrition, training, loft climate, optimal health… The
base however remains the pigeon itself… At house Decoster-Schollier the selection is very strict!

The collection of pigeons consists of 25 pairs of breeders,
30 widowers and about 100 young birds.

Hodowcy - entuzjaści:
Zarówno Freddy jak i Suzy od małego wychowywali się w
środowisku hodowców gołębi pocztowych, ponieważ ich
ojcowie byli miłośnikami gołębi! Od blisko 20 lat lotują
jako tandem pod nazwą Decoster-Schollier.
W hodowli gołębi wspaniale się uzupełniają. Freddy
opiekuje się gołębiami w sposób uporządkowany, racjonalny i do bólu konsekwentny. Podczas gdy Suzy dodaje
emocji oraz motywacji do działania!
Początkowo lotowanie gołębiami traktowali wyłacznie
jako hobby. Obecnie specjalizują się w jednodniowych
lotach narodowych do 700 km.
Freddy i Suzy szczególną uwagę przywiązują do optymalnego żywienia, treningów a także do dobrego klimatu gołębnika, który zapewnia idealne warunki dla

Hansen is also enthusiast fanciers themselves –

For the 10th time MVL-CUP will be arranged in the
small village of Aabenraa (15000 inhabitants) in the
southern part of Denmark – only 25 km north of the
border between Germany and Denmark.
Organiser is the union ”Brevduernes Venner”
(friends of the racingpigeons) which has the
purpose to make interest and publicity about the
pigeon sport. In 2010 pigeons participated from
both Belgium, Holland, Germany, Canada, Norway,
Sweden, Austria and Denmark.
The final flight is approx. 400 km from south.

Prezentujemy: największy lot ze wspólnego gołębnika w Danii i całej Skandynawii
W roku 2011 już poraz dziesiąty zawody MVL-CUP będą rozgrywane w niewielkiej miejscowości Aabenraa (15 000 mieszkańców)
w południowej części Danii jedynie 25 km na północ od granicy
duńsko - niemieckiej.
Organizatorem jest Towarzystwo „Brevduernes Venner” (miłośnicy
gołębi pocztowych), które ma na celu promocję sportu
gołębiarskiego. W roku 2010 w zawodach brało udział ponad 1
900 gołębi z Belgii, Holandii, Niemiec, Kanady, Norwegii, Szwecji,
Austrii i Danii.
Finałowy lot odbywał się z odległości 400 km z kierunku
południowego.

Menadżerem zawodów jest Henrik Meldgaard - hodowca gołębi
osiągający ponadprzeciętne rezultaty. Swoją hodowlę zbudował
on w oparciu o gołębie od Jefa De Wilder, Flora Vervoort oraz linii
Kannibaala za pośrednictwem Klausa Stieneker.
Po finałowym locie gołębie zostały sprzedane na popularnej w
Danii aukcji internetowej organizowanej przez braci Hansen od

Marcel Aelbrecht: Pigeons with world fame!
Marcel Aelbrecht, 83 years old now, is a sounding name
in the pigeon world! The whole world wants to have his
pigeons. Because they’ve gotten the necessary successes
everywhere. But as strong as his pigeons fly, that modest
Marcel always remained. He never forgot where he came
from. He’s been a mason/contractor his whole life in the
family company together with his father and brothers. He
rolled into the pigeon world thanks to his father in law
Constant Dhooghe, an at the time strong speed player, of
which Marcel learned the game. Marcel and his wife Celine
just got married when they hammered a loft together and
they started playing speed races. The first 2 years were
some of paying a lot of dues. Until the Brothers Aelbrecht,
so they played at the time, met the father of Etienne De
Rauw.
He didn’t only deliver other and better pigeons, but also
got advice. This acquaintance proved to be a great hit, because one wasn’t ever really sure of a first prize until the
Brothers Aelbrecht walked in with their clock. Thanks to
the further friendship with father De Rauw and later on
with Etienne De Rauw himself, and his brother-in-law
Frans Sablon, the interest for the Long Distance grew.
Further reinforcements were searched and found with
Camiel Haeck from Humbeek. There Marcel bought 6 pigeons, and at the last minute he exchanged one of those
6 pigeons, it was a checkered one, for a blue white flight
pigeon. That was a real hit.
Just as the following anecdote. As told Marcel was in construction and as a thanks to the good pigeons he got from
Haeck, he brought some second choice wood to Humbeek.
Where Camiel could renovate his decrepit loft. When Marcel drove back home he just saw Camiel running in with a
red handkerchief, with a young bird, in his hand. “Here you
go Marcel, that’s for your wood, thank you!” This pigeon
also grew out to an excellent breeder!

Thanks to De Rauw-Sablon
Marcel is grateful to the tandem De Rauw-Sablon, for the quality injection that these pigeons brought to his family. Together with the pigeons from Van Haeck they formed the pillars of his colony. He knew Etienne De Rauw for a while now
and Frans Sablon became his neighbour. And what do neighbour pigeon fanciers do? Exchange some pigeons from time
to time. That’s how it happened in the Baardegemsestraat. A
couple of eggs, an old breeder here, a hen there…and both got
better from it.

Besides the wonderful results the pigeons of De Rauw-Sablon
and Haeck gained on his own lofts, a few of Marcels basic
breeders conquered the world. How successful and wanted

Marcel Aelbrecht: Gołębie światowej sławy!
Marcel Aelbrecht, ma obecnie 83 lata. Jest to jedno z
najbardziej znanych nazwisk w kręgu hodowców gołębi!
Entuzjaści z całego świata marzą oby posiadać jego ptaki, ponieważ odnoszą one sukcesy wszędzie gdzie tylko
się znajdą. Jesteś tak mocny, jak mocne są twoje gołębie,
powtarzał zawsze skromny Marcel. Nigdy nie zapomniał
skąd pochodzi. Był murarzem i przez całe życie pracował
w rodzinnej firmie wraz z ojcem i braćmi. Wkroczył w
świat gołębiarski dzięki swemu ojcu - Constant Dhooghe,
w swoim czasie silnemu graczowi w lotach krótkodystansowych, od którego Marcel uczył się gołębiarskiego
rzemiosła. Marcel i jego żona Celine, wkrótce po ślubie
wybudowali gołębniki i rozpoczęli lotowanie na krótkim
dystansie. Pierwsze dwa lata spłacali wiele kredytów, więc
grali tylko od czasu do czasu. W tym czasie poznali się z
ojcem Etienna De Rauw.
On, nie tylko dostarczył im innych, lepszych gołębi, ale
także udzielał cennych wskazówek. Ta znajomość okazała
się wielkim szczęściem, gdyż w krótkim czasie zaczęli
lotować tak dobrze, że nie można było być pewnym
pierwszej nagrody, dopóki nie pojawili się w klubie ze
swoim zegarem. Dzięki dalszej przyjaźni z ojcem De Rauw,
a później z samym Etiennem De Rauw i jego szwagrem
Frans Sablon, zaczęli się interesować długim dystansem.
Szukając wzmocnienia Marcel natrafił na Camiela Haecka z
Humbeek. Od niego zakupił 6 gołębi wszystkie niebieskienakrapiane. W ostatniej chwili Marcel zamienił jednego z
tych 6 gołębi, na niebieskiego białolotka. Okazało się to
strzałem w dziesiątkę .
Ciekawa anegdota. Jak wiemy, Marcel był budowlańcem
i w podzięce za dobre gołębie, które wziął od Haecka, przywiózł mu trochę drewna drugiego gatunku, aby
wyremontować jego nieudolnie skonstruowany gołębnik.
Kiedy Marcel odjeżdżał do domu, zobaczył biegnącego
Camiela z młodym gołębiem w ręku zawiniętym w
czerwoną chustkę do nosa. “Proszę Marcel, to za drewno,
dziękuję!” Okazało się że ten gołąb wyrósł na znakomitego
rozpłodowca!
2007 changed everything...
Christmas 2007 pulled the life of Marcel and his wife Celine
totally about. They became the victims of a cowardly theft,
in which half of the breeding loft was just robbed empty. Afterwards 3 pigeons returned to the lofts, probably escaped
from the thieves. The returned pigeons were far from flown
empty and made the assumption that the pigeons are located
in Belgium or the neighbour countries, but any further trail is
missing…
The theft made Marcel decide, with a lot of sorrow in his
hearth, to sell all remaining racing pigeons, and to play on
only with young birds. And Marcel does that marvelous, just
look at the following results of his young birds at the ‘Nationals’ of 2010.

Dzięki De Rauw-Sablon
Marcel dużo zawdzięcza tandemowi De Rauw-Sablon,
który poprzez znakomite gołębie znacznie podwyższył
jakość jego hodowli. Wraz z gołębiami Van Haecka tworzyły
one filar jego stada. W niedługim czasie od poznania Etienna De Rauw, Marcel stał się sąsiadem Fransa Sablon. A
co sąsiedzi hodowcy mogą dla siebie zrobić? Wymieniali
się gołębiami od czasu do czasu. A to kilka jajek od starych
rozpłodowców, a to jakaś samiczka ... i obaj na tym skorzystali.
Czołowi protoplaści rodu
Poza tym, że gołębie De Rauw-Sablon i Haecka zdobyły
wspaniałe wyniki w jego gołębniku, kilka podstawowych
gołębi hodowlanych Marcela podbiło świat. Jak to
osiągnęli? Potomstwem po gołębiach: Marsylia, De Perpignan, Bak 17, De Smallen, De Cerafin, De Michael, De Crack,
Fijn Blauw, ...
Rok 2007 zmienił wszystko ...
Boże Narodzenie 2007 roku przyniosło Marcelowi i jego
żonie Celine totalną katastrofę. Padli ofiarą kradzieży, ich
gołębnik rozpłodowy został w połowie opustoszały. 3
gołębie powróciły do domu gdyż prawdopodobnie uciekły
złodziejom. Przypuszczenia są takie, że niektóre z nich
przebywają w Belgii lub w krajach sąsiednich. Wszelki ślad
po nich zaginął. Kradzież gołębi sprawiła, że Marcel, z dużym
bólem w sercu, postanowił sprzedać wszystkie pozostałe
gołębie i skupił się na lotach młodych. Marcel zrobił to
wspaniale. Wystarczy spojrzeć na wyniki gołębi młodych z
lotów narodowych z 2010 roku .

Rudi Hendrikx is a veterinary in Lanaken and a pigeon
fancier in Maasmechelen. In the group practice De Poort
in the Stationsstraat he’s specialized in pigeons. For Rudi
Hendrikx 2010 became a stop season again, with different
champion titles, such as 1st provincial Champion Middle
Distance yearlings, and in the ‘Maas en Kempen Fond Verdubbeling -700 km’ 3rd champion old pigeons and yearlings, 1st Ace Pigeon yearlings and 4th and 5th Ace Pigeon
old pigeons. After the winter breeding the widowers get
separated for the new bearing. End March there’s a repairing with a maximum of 5 days of hatching, after which
the widowers get severely trained until 50-60km. After
that they fly the Middle Distance to Chateauroux (547km).
From this year on Rudi Hendrikx plays the widowhood
hens (both in yearlings and old pigeons) in total widowhood.
As a veterinary and top fancier he developed via ‘Duivensport België’ a range of products that have led to great
sportive successes with a lot of fanciers. Rudi Hendrikx
himself is an avid advocate of the use of his Forme-Mix
during two weeks before the season, this for the removal
of old down and to purify the liver. From the end of March:
2 weeks Conditietonic on the food, and during the racing
season 2 x per week Fly Plus and Aminotonic. In case the

Pedigree buildup
One of the pillars of the Hendrikx-succes is the ‘As’ of the
Brothers Clerinx from Nieuwerkerken. ‘De As’… a real topper with 7 first prizes and 1st and 2nd Ace Pigeon of Limburg…drew a trail of class throughout the Hendrikx-colony.
A whole triad of reinforcements was added, such as Goeminne, and the last years crossed with absolute toppers of
Engels, Vandijck, Jacobs, Van Haute, and others.
Also special is the start of his Breeding and Training Center Pigeon Racing Belgium (Kweek en Training Center Duivensport België) in Heusden. The first year, 2010, became
an enormous success with 7 victories and chain results.

Also worth mentioning is the own professional video (in
4 languages ‘Het Systeem’ for chain results. As a top fancier and producer of chain results and as a veterinary Rudi
Hendrikx composed the successful system in 12 points.

Rudi Hendrikx jest lekarzem weterynarii i jednocześnie
czołowym hodowcą gołębi. Jego gołębniki zlokalizowane są w
Maasmechelen w Belgii. Rudi jest specjalistą w zakresie leczenia chorób gołebi. Jego gabinet mieści się w Lanaken.
Sezon 2010 znowu był dla Rudiego niezwykle udany. Zdobył
w nim wiele tytułów mistrzowskich takich jak:
- najlepszy roczniak w prowincjonalnych lotach
średniodystansowych,
- trzeci champion wśród gołebi starych i roczniaków,
- pierwszy As gołąb wśród roczniaków,
- czwarty i piąty As gołąb wśród starych gołębi.
Po hodowli zimowej jego wdowce są rozłączone. Ponowne parowanie następuje z końcem marca. Gołębie mają swobodę
do 5 dnia od zniesienia jajek. Po tym czasie ptaki są intensywnie trenowane na dystansie do 50-60km. Po takich treningach
są gotowe do odbywania lotów konkursowych na dystansach
do Chateauroux (547km). Od ubiegłego roku Rudi Hendrix lotuje również samiczkami w metodzie totalnego wdowieństwa
(zarówno roczniakami i z dorosłymi).
Jako weterynarz i czołowy hodowca rozwinął firmę ‘Duivensport België’ produkującą przełomową gamę produktow,
króte doprowadziły do wielkich sukcesów wielu belgijskich
hodowców. Rudi Hendrikx jest zagorzałym zwolennikiem podawania preparatu Forme-Mix przez dwa tygodnie przed sezonem, aby oczyścić wątrobę z toksyn nagromadzonych podczas
poprzedniego sezonu a także po zimowych kuracjach. Pod koniec marca zaleca dwutygodniową kurację Konditie-tonic pa-

lub Forme-Mix. Bez tych preparatów nie wyobraża sobie sezonu lotowago
Sukcesy oparte na solidnych fundamentach
Jednym z filarów sukcesu Rudiego Hendrikxa jest gołąb “De
As” od braci Clenrinx z Nieuwekerken. “De As” to prawdziwy
zwyciężca, który zdobył 7 pierwszych nagród oraz tytuł 1 i
2 Asa prowincji Limburgia. Ten gołąb miał olbrzymi wpływ
na hodowlę Hendrikxa. Do tego doszły najlepsze ptaki
wywodzące się z takich gołebników jak Engels, Vandijck, Jacobs, Van Haute i innych.
Rudi stworzył także specjalne centrum hodowlane i
doświadczalne (Kweek en Training Center Duivensport België)

Domien Van Hoeck and Eddy Noël form an inseparable
tandem that proves itself each year again at both speedand Heavy Middle Distance races for years now. This way
there’s an unrelenting play for years from Noyon (180km)
with about every championship title as a result, while the
national and provincial honor prizes from the other work
don’t stay out.
We know Eddy and Domien as two driven people that have
once common purpose: build up an own family, marked by
a great natural resistance, and capable to excel at about all
distances up to about 700 kilometers.
The fact they succeeded in this wonderfully is clear. Weekly
they aren’t to be knocked away from the top of the results
and their pigeons bring down the house at almost all distances. Besides the weekly chain results on speed, there were
also some globally nice performances by the old and the
yearling hens at the Middle Distance races.
By means of inbred and family cross breeding Eddy and
Domien managed to save the champion genes of their basic cocks and pass them to the integral colony. Forming the
thread are:
-4370118-92, a cock from the Brothers Santens
-4177911-96, a hen from Raoul and Xavier Verstraeten via
the late Alfons Van den Driessche;
-A few grandchildren of the 1st National Bourges (a.o.
2254425-98) from the Brothers Delellio from Vilvoorde;
-2254433-98, a grandson of the 1st Interprovincial Argenton that is at her turn a granddaughter of the 1st National
Bourges. He’s a direct son of the 1st Interprovincial Vierzon
and origins from the loft Brothers Delellio Vilvoorde.
The Santens blood makes that they can cope with the distance while those of Verstraeten and the Delellio’s made
sure that there’s still enough speed.
Domien Hoeck i Eddy Van Noël to tandem, który sprawdza

wzbudzają podziw. Oprócz pasma sukcesów na krótkim
dystansie, odnoszą sukcesy na skalę światową w lotach
średniodystansowych, zarówno z gołębiami starymi jak i
rocznymi samiczkami.
Eddy i Domien starają się zachować geny swoich najlepszych lotników poprzez hodowlę krewniaczą, a następnie
uzyskać jak najwięcej potomstwa przez krzyżowanie zinbredowanych ptaków z wybitnymi gołębiami z innych rodzin. Podstawowe gołębie rozpłodowe to:

and Verreckt-Ariën (Tessenderlo) moved to the breeding
lofts. Starting from the own base they eagerly watch out for
the surplus that these pigeons can offer towards the future.
They will possibly make the dream of Eddy and Domien – to
someday win a national – come true the next years!
And so Eddy and Domien built two lines at their loft. By
means of family breeding and inbred the genetically positive characteristics were set in these lines.
-the 118-line is based on 118/92 cock from the brothers
Santens (Oudenaarde);
-the Bourgesline supports on twoo grandsons and three
granddaughters of the 1st National Bourges from the Brothers Delellio (Vilvoorde). Closely related on that is the 433
cock.
As a thread through these lines runs ‘De 911 duivin’, which
already delivered until the 4th generation head- and 1st
prize racers with different cocks of these two lines. She’s
a granddaughter of the ‘Miljonair’ and origins from the loft
Xavier and Raoul Verstraete (Oostakker). The 118/92 is also
a grandson of that same ‘Miljonair’.
Because standing still is going backwards, Eddy and Domien
regularly watch out for perfect cross breeding material for
their basic pigeons. Costs nor troubles are spared in this
case to only get the best of the best from the better pigeon

pokoleniom gołębi, które wielokrotnie zdobywały pierwsze
miejsca w lotach. Samiczka ta jest wnuczką gołębia “Miljonair” i

Ptak 4370118/92 jest także wnukiem gołebia “Miljonair”.
Eddy i Domien wyznają zasadę, że stojąc w miejscu tak naprawdę
się cofasz, dlatego regularnie poszukują doskonałych gołębi do
krzyżowania ze swoją bazą hodowlaną. Pieniądze nie stanowią
dla nich problemu. Pozyskują tylko najlepsze gołębie z najlepszych hodowli, a są to ptaki z podstawowych par czołowych hodowców Belgii:

Ludo Thijs plays from now on under the name Thijs-Peters.
His wife Christel is often far from home because for her
busy job, but her spare time goes to the pigeons. Furthermore she’s the daughter of Harie Peters, he used to be the
scare of the Maasland area in speed races. Rudi Hendrikx
is the regular veterinary. “He helps me to keep the pigeons
under any circumstances tricho-free. And his Thuiskomst
goes into the drinking jar every week. In every series the
pigeons get a cure against tetany, with tetra- or doxycycline.” In 2011 Ludo will play 76 yearlings and old birds in
total, on total widowhood. The darkened young birds will
race until on the sliding door until the national. In 2008
as well as in 2009 and 2010 Ludo Thijs gained excellent

pigeons and stayed friend of the family. Problem is that
with Leon Knockaert the emphasis was on performances
and not on pedigree. We are now busy looking up the pedigrees, but fact is that Knockaert mainly had awesome
pigeons.”

każdym tygodniu. Przy locie w razie potrzeby gołebie
dostają leki na drogi oddechowe zawierające w swym
składzie doksycyklinę”.
W roku 2011 Ludo będzie lotował 76 rocznymi oraz starymi gołębiami metodą totalnego wdowieństwa. Natomiast młode gołębie będą zaciemniane i lotowane w narodowych lotach metodą przesuwanych drzwi.
W latach 2008, 2009 jak również w 2010 Ludo Thijs
uzyskał doskonałe wyniki. W zeszłym roku wygrał miedzyprowincjonalny lot (roczniaki) z Jarnac i zdobył jeszcze 8
nagród z tego lotu w konkurencji z najlepszymi hodowcami
regionu Maasland.
Pochodzenie gołebi.
Zwyciestwo w tym locie może przemówić do wyobraźni.
Jego gołąb uzyskuje prędkość 1347 m/min i dzięki temu
Ludo wygrywa z Josem Thone z As i Julesem Hardy z Vroenhoven-Riemst. Najlepsze gołębie Ludo Thijsa pochodzą od
Rudiego Hendrikxa z Maasmechlen oraz Dirka Van Dycka
z Zandhoven. Ludo Thijs: ”Dużo zawdzięczamy także Leonowi Knockaertowi z Wernik, ktory w 2007 zlikwidował
hodowlę. Kupiliśmy od niego wszystkie gołębie, a on
został przyjacielem rodziny. Problem jest w tym, że Leon
nie zwracał uwagi na pochodzenie gołebi. Interesowały go
tylko ich wyniki.W tej chwili staramy się ustalić pochodzenie gołębi i ustalić, które z którymi są spokrewnione. Ale
najważniejsze jest to, że gołębie Knockaerta są naprawdę
bardzo dobre.

nat. 88/3989 (*). The results with an asterisk gained 10007 the provincial title. We do want to add that this checkered one isn’t the first best, because earlier this year he
also flew loc. 38/387, prov. 543/3165 and nat. 1781/9061
from Bourges.
5154103-09 won in 2010 provincial and interprovincial
Jarnac (730km), resp. of 1251 and 3714 yearlings. This
winning pigeon won in 2009 also great regional Troyes.
On Jarnac the pigeons of Ludo Thijs-Peters delivered the
proof that they performed excellent above the 500km: besides the interprovincial victory he also took the 8th, 56th
and 85th with 6/10 in total.

iż dwa młode gołębie po 5051181/07 uzyskały super
wynik spowodował, że został on przeniesiony na stałe do
rozpłodu.
Gołąb 5168100-07 w roku 2009 został najlepszym
gołebiem długodystansowym w prowincji Limburgia. Jest
to obecnie najlepszy gołąb u Ludo. Jego wyniki: Lot z Brive:
w klubie 2/354; w prowincji 5/2338 (*); w strefie 28/6587;
w konkurencji narodowej 536/17456. Lot Cahors: w klubie
1/142 (*); w prowincji 7/923; w konkurencji półnarodowej
567/7347. Lot Jarnac: w klubie 5/108; w prowincji 42/961;
w konkurencji narodowej 88/3989 (*).
Wyniki zaznaczone gwiazdką dały gołębiowi 5168100-07
tytuł Asa w lotach dalekich w Prowincji Limburgia. Należy
dodać, że to nie były pierwsze sukcesy tego nakrapianego
ptaka, ponieważ wcześniej - w tym samym roku, również
leciał bardzo dobrze. W lotcie z Latal osiągnął w regionie
38/387, w prowincji 543/3165, a także był 1781 wśród
9061 startujących gołębi w locie narodowym z Bourges.
Gołąb 5154103-09 wygrał w 2010 roku prowincjonalny i
międzyprowincjonalny z Jarnac (730 km) w konkurencji z
odpowiednio 1251 oraz 3714 gołębiami rocznymi.
Ten wspaniały ptak wygrał również regionalny lot z Troyes
w 2009 roku.
Lot z Jarnac udowodnił, że gołębie Ludo Thijs-Peters
doskonale lataja na dystansach powyżej 500km. Obok

10ml/litre water or 20ml/kg food for 10 days.
A decreasing condition during the season? 2x a
week “Konditietonic” 10ml/litre water or 20ml/
kg food. After illness, in case of tiredness or while
taking a cure. In case of increased effort or a hard
flight. In case of illness, first consult a veterinarian.

racing pigeons. The pigeons will be fit again in
no time. Pigeons with weak legs at arrival? At arrival 10 ml/litre ; in case of a hard flight or warm
weather 2 or 3 days. Can also be given the day
before departure. In case of illness.
Kompletny preparat do szybkiej regeneracji po ciężkim locie.
Jeśli gołębie wracają wyczerpane, chwieją się po wylądowaniu
na desce wlotowej, wtedy należy podać Re-Force.
Podawać po powrocie gołębi z lotu w dawce 10ml/litr. Po
ciężkim locie i podczas upałów stosować przez 2 - 3 dni. ReForce można też podawać w dniu koszowania. Re-Force może

The buildup of the loft
Michel often looked out for reinforcements, standing still
is going back. Octaaf Hebberecht Evergem, Michel Van Hee
Wervik and Kamiel De Zutter Ninove were crossed in successfully. Especially the De Zutter pigeon made a positive contribution. The onset for a strong homogeneous family was
formed. Rock solid Long Distance pigeons that can take on
anything and furthermore ordain a natural resistance. The
following years diverse new acquisitions were sparsely tried
out. The one a bit more successful than the other.

For about 15 years now there’s a successful breeding, crossing and participation in Long Distance races. Getting successes wasn’t evidential here. At one side there was always
the busy job that made the pigeon racing get in second
place and at the other side there’s a serious health problem
the last few years.
Here surely no exaggerated amounts of pigeons, all has to
stay clear. 12 pairs of breeders that seldom were re-bred. Michel realized that to get an utter efficiency from a breeding
loft there had to be much more re-breeding, that mostly was
missing here. 40 widowhood cocks, old birds and yearlings
together, and about 80 young birds were bred yearly.
Furthermore he yearly donated diverse vouchers, often the
buyers went home with multiple young birds for one voucher.
The young birds were only trained to Clermont for the traveling costs, some not even that far. The yearlings had everything to prove and learn, which really was a disadvantage.
Still it was a conscious choice for Michel. The pigeons last a
lot longer here, here there are racers of 6 and 7 years. When
we look at a lot of top lofts the gross of the pigeons is burned out at 2 years old and they quickly get in sale.
The yearlings get selected by hand after the season, on origin. The old birds have to prove themselves, as a 2 year old
there is no excuse.
