PRZYKŁADY GŁÓWNYCH TEMATÓW
Dziennikarstwo: This course examines the production process of a print publication (newspaper, magazine).You will gain an understanding of relevant media
language and learn interview skills, study the structure of print articles and look
at the impact and effect of images. You will also learn to phrase questions in
open, rhetorical or directed ways and to write subjectively and objectively.
Eseistyka Using work from well-known authors you will learn writing techniques
to develop characters, setting and style. You will then produce a short written
piece to share with fellow students.
Moda i styl: Explore and create fashion. You will spend time looking at the influences on current fashion and the top designers and create your own outfits.
Nauka w praktyce: This practical course is designed to be ‘hands on’ and give you
the opportunity to learn by doing e.g. building and experimenting with your
own devices (dynamos /kites), forensic finger printing.
Projektowanie stron internetowych: By looking at a variety of Internet sites you
will learn what makes an attractive and userfriendly website. You will then learn
how to build your own website using Dreamweaver and basic html script.
Teatr: This course aims to involve students in fun theatre games that necessitate
spoken English and careful listening. Theory input includes information about
the QE2 theatre building, based on traditional lines. By the middle of the week, a
published play will be chosen, parts cast then rehearsals will begin, ending with a
dress rehearsal on Sunday before your performance! You and your audience will
be amazed by what you accomplish!
Muzyka: Take this opportunity to experience a variety of musical styles from the
20th and 21st centuries: rock, pop, musicals, minimalism and contemporary music. You’ll be provided with the language necessary to talk about music competently, as well as being able to develop your singing / vocal skills.

Sztuka filmowa: This course teaches you the basics of filmmaking such as composition, timing and how to use different shots. You will then work in a team to
make a short film incorporating the techniques you have learned.
Projektowanie cyfrowe: Using Photoshop and Coreldraw you will study the basic elements of digital design and learn how to design and manipulate images
to get the best effects.
Animacja cyfrowa: If you have good basic knowledge of Digital Design, expand
your portfolio by taking Digital Animation. You will learn how to prepare basic
images in Photoshop for use in After Effects and then make short animated
clips.
DZIEDZINY DODATKOWE
POEZJA: The literary greats such as Shakespeare, Marlow and Byron will be contrasted with more contemporary geniuses such as Dahl, Poe and Dylan Thomas.
You will investigate Rhyming schemes, Poetic form, Lines, Stanzas, Sonnets and
Odes and write pieces of poetry to reflect your own interpretation of a style/
form.
FILOZOFIA: If you are interested in discussing the meaning of life and your place
in the world, then this is the course for you. You will also learn about the ideas
of well-known western philosophers and how their ideas are relevant to our
daily lives.
HISTORIA SZTUKI You will be looking at the major influences affecting modern
art and visiting an art gallery e.g. Tate Modern. You may even research and put
together your own art collection.
WARSZTAT JĘZYKA ANGIELSKIEGO If you need additional help with your English
you’ll work on comprehension, grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary to give
you added confidence.

FOTOGRAFIA CYFROWA: You will examine the basic functions of the camera
(such as shutter speeds and aperture size) as well as looking at composition,
landscape, still life and portraiture. You will then spend time editing your own
photographs using Photoshop.
SZTUKA DEBATY: For those interested in discussing world politics and international issues, this is the course for you. Learn how to debate and discuss complex issues with fellow students from around the world.
