Cele przedmiotu
Cel 1 Analyzing South East Asia region as an important actor of international affairs in the contemporary world,
showing socio economy - political relations within the region and with the world.

Wymagania wstępne
1 English language at upper intermediate level.

Modułowe efekty kształcenia
MW1 Has knowledge of political, economic, and social institutions and organizations, their environment and mutual
relations, as well as their past and present roles in the modern world; knows the economic mechanisms at play
in the area of international relations.
MW2 Has knowledge of the regularities and trends pertaining to international relations, both past and present, at
the level of Europe as well as the entire world.
MW3 Knows the context of international labour division, its formal and spatial structure, economic potential of its
key players, principles of the operation of regional and global markets of goods and services.
MU4 Can adequately interpret political, social, and economic phenomena pertaining to international relations; can
point to the reasons behind them, and assess their effects; can also correctly interpret current affairs and
processes taking place at an international arena.
MU5 Can make use of theoretical knowledge in order to search for, collect, and process data necessary to analyse
international relations.
MU6 Can understand and analyse different processes and phenomena occurring in the context of modern international relations.
MK7 Understands the need for acquiring and updating knowledge on international relations throughout ones entire
life.
MK8 Can work in a team in an international and multicultural environment.

1.South East Asia: introduction. Countries of the region and their population,
2.Introductory history of the region with emphasis on colonial period. 3.Main
cities, infrastructure; climate, geopolitical information. 4.Cultures and religions
in the region. 5.Relations in the region amongst the countries, ASEAN.
6.Relations of the region with the worlds main actors of international relations:
cultural, economic and political. 7. Issues in the region: women trafficking, sex
abuse, contemporary slavery: low-waged jobs, tourism.
