Something strange happened to Katy last Friday evening. It was cold and foggy outside and Katy was
coming back home after a school party. When she got home, took out her key, opened the front door
and turned on the lights in the hall. Suddenly, she saw a strange creature standing in front of her and
looking at her angrily. “Oh no!” she thought. “There is a monster in my house. What should I do?” she
whispered. She was sure that the monster wanted to eat her, so she started shouting and ran out of
house. “Help! Help” she screamed. But no one could hear her. She went to the garden and hid in the
shed. The monster followed her laughing in a human voice. When Katy looked closely she saw that the
monster was really strange, because it has four legs and two of them human.
“You silly girl!” said the monster. When it took off its head, Katy saw her brother Nick. He couldn`t stop
laughing. “How do you like my Halloween costume?” asked Nick. “As soon as I get you, I`ll show you!”
shouted Katy and ran into the house, closing the door behind them.
