Drobniak is a professor of fluid mechanics and fluid-flow machinery. His fields of expertise are: experimental analysis of turbulent flows, diagnostics of thermal machinery, aerodynamics of turbomachinery, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) including large eddy simulation (LES). Prof. Drobniak teaches fluid mechanics and power engineering & environment. He is a chairman of Polish Pilot Centre of ERCOFTAC (European Research Community On Flow Turbulence And Combustion), member of a Comittee of Mechanics of Polish Academy of Sciences, member of a managing board of PTMTS (Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics), member of Euromech and GAMM. Prof. Drobniak worked as a "research fellow" (1981-1982) and "Visiting Professor" (1999, 2000) at the Engineering Department, Cambridge University (UK). In 1990, 1991, 1996 and 1997 he was employed as a "maitre de recherche" and in 1997 as a "Visiting Professor" at LEGI, Technical University of Grenoble (France). He provided invited lectures at univesities in Greece, Belgium and Germany. Dr inż. He is author and co-author of several publications and unpublished reports from national and international research projects. Dr Maciej Marek is a member of Euromech. His teaching activities include: Computational Fluid Dynamics, Multiphase flows, Optimization, Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials and Mathematics. 4 Dr inż. Grzybowski graduated from the Department of Fundamental Problems of Technology at the Wroclaw University of Technology (MSc in mathematics). He defended his PhD in the field of mathematics in 1991 at the same university. Since then he heads the Applied Mathematics Research Unit at the Institute of Mathematics, Częstochowa University of Technology. His scientific research is devoted to formal and Monte Carlo analysis of various methods in statistical decision theory and their potential application in industrial engineering problems. Currently he focuses on optimal stopping problems arising in statistical sequential analysis and on applications of game theory methods in modern regression analysis. He received scholarships from International Centre For Mechanical Sciences, Udine, Italy (1991,1992) and from La Sainte Union College of Higher Education, Southampton , UK (1997). He was also a "Visiting Professor" at the Université Internationale de Bertoua, Cameroon (2010). He is an author and co–author of four scientific monographs and of more than 50 papers published in scientific journals as well as international conference proceedings. Dr inż. Grzybowski teaches the probability theory and its applications, mathematical and applied statistics, advanced regression analysis and the theory of games and decisions, at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Marcin Kubiak scientific interests cover numerical modeling of thermal phenomena and phase transformations in high-tech welding, including theoretical study of heat sources power distribution, temperature field and motion of a liquid material in the welding pool, in elements welded by a laser beam and laser- arc hybrid welding methods as well as prediction of phase composition in welded joints. PhD. Eng. Marcin Kubiak is a member of PTMTS (Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics). He is an author and co-author of several scientific articles published in national and international journals. Teaching activity of PhD. Eng. Marcin Kubiak covers Strength of Materials, Engineering Mechanics, Fundamentals of Engineering Design and Finite Element Method. 5 Dr inż. Jest współautorem kilkunastu publikacji z tej dziedziny w czasopismach krajowych i zagranicznych oraz materiałach konferencyjnych. Jego działalność dydaktyczna dotyczy zagadnień związanych z mechaniką i wytrzymałością materiałów. Brzeźnicka 60A 42-200 Częstochowa Tel. 034 3250 917 wew. 30 Krystyna Malińska received her MSc degree in Food Technology from University of Agriculture in Kraków , PhD degree in Environmental Engineering from Częstochowa University of Technology and MA degree in Business English from University of Silesia. Her research focuses on environmental issues in agri-food companies, biodegradable waste management with particular reference to energy and material recovery, biomass conversion and bioremediation of contaminated soil. Dr. Malińska’s interests also include long distance learning and English for scientific communication. Currently, Dr. Malińska teaches the following courses: biormediation, environmental monitoring, water management in industry, management and protection of water resources, techniques for environment revitalization, and also scientific writing and presentations. Dr. Malińska was a visiting scholar at Pennsylvania State University, USA (2005-2006) and Georgia University, USA (2007). She received Junior Research fellowship from the PolishU.S. Fulbright Commission and Norman E.Borlaug International Agricultural Science and Technology fellowship. Armii Krajowej 21 tel.:+48 34 32-50-507 Prof. S. Bogusławski is a professor of fluid mechanics. His fields of expertise are: hydrodynamic stability theory, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), modelling of turbulent flows including large eddy simulation (LES). Prof. Bogusławski teaches fluid mechanics, computational fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, environmental aerodynamics, heating techniques. Prof. Bogusławski received in 1991 the 10-month post-doctoral scholarship realized at Laboratoire d’Electrostatique et de Materiaux Dielectriques, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique LEMD-CNRS, in Grenoble . He worked also as a visiting professor for 2 months in 1998 at Laboratoire des Ecoulements Geophysiques et Industriels–LEGI in Grenoble. During last decade he participated in several FP6 and FP7 projects devoted to numerical and experimental investigations in fluid dynamics and turbulent combustion: MOLECULES, INTELLECT D.M., FAR-Wake, TIMECOP A.E., MyPlanet. He was the vice coordinator of the COST-Action P20 –LES AID- Large-Eddy Simulation for Advanced Industrial Design, realized in years 2006-2010. Dr inż. Pelka are focused on problems related with generation and conversion of different forms of energy particularly in power engineering. Present research concentrate on combustion of fossil fuels in CFB conditions. Dr P. Pelka gives lectures on combustion theory, fluidized technology, ecology of combustion and technology of emission capture. He is a member of Combustion Section of Polish Academy of Science. In the 2005 he received training in Mintek, South Africa’s national mineral research organization in Johannesburg and in the 2007 was a member of scientific exchange in KTH University in Stockholm in Sweden. She is the author of numerous publications in this field in books and conference materials, and co-author of a monograph. Ten-year professional experience prior to academic career (historic monuments preservation lab, architectural studios) has allowed the realization of many building projects. Dr Nina Sołkiewicz-Kos teaches urban engineering and building engineering. Brzeźnicka 60a tel.: 034 32-50-917 w.30 Magdalena Zabochnicka-Świątek possesses a multidisciplinary education and holds an MSc in Medical Diagnostics, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business English, and a PhD in Environmental Engineering. She is an evaluator of R&D proposals for the European Commission in the field of environmental protection and engineering, and a consultant in this field for the Polish Ministry of Economy. Her previous research was focused on immobilization of contaminants in the environment by application of natural and synthesized sorbents, remediation of contaminated land and water reconditioning. Her present research is focused mainly on assessment of gas pollution emission reduction using algae (mainly the capture of CO 2 emitted by industrial source) and on applications of algal biomass for production of different types of renewable biofuels of third generation, such as: biodiesel, bioethanol, biogas and biohydrogen and also as: high-protein animal feed, food, agricultural protein-rich biofertilizer, biopolymers/bioplastics, biosorbents, medicines and cosmetics. She is also a specialist in spectroscopic techniques. Piotr Tomski holds lectures on economics and project management. He is a member of Polish Economic Society (PTE). Taking into consideration the general economic determinants, he analyses strategies and investment policy, the specificity of property investment as well as risks and effectiveness involved in these endeavors. Moreover, he studies the contribution of the banking sector to the development of the property market and also deals with the problems of evaluation and measurement of the effectiveness of financing property investments by the banking sector as well as the management of this market. He has published widely on the above topics, including his doctoral dissertation, 26 publications and a number of papers delivered at the national and international conferences. He has also published two monographs, in which he investigated the role of the banking sector on the property market as well as the cooperation of different business entities on this market. He is the author and co-author several publications from this field in national and international journals as well as monographs.
