Dr inż. Karolina Rybicka has been an employee of the Chair of Finance, Banking and
Management Accounting from 01.10.1998. In her scientific work she investigates the
management and financial accounting, tax law, management and cost information, as well as the
Teaching English for Specific Purposes (especially Teaching English for Accounting and
Finance). She is the author of numerous scientific publications presented both at home and
abroad.
On September 27, 2005 year by the decision of the Management Faculty Board of
Częstochowa University of Technology she received a Ph.D. in economics in management
science for her doctoral dissertation „System wskaźników controllingu logistycznego w
przedsiębiorstwach motoryzacyjnych” (Ratio system in logistic controlling in motor-car
industry).
In the year 2008 she received team work award of the Rector of the Częstochowa
University of Technology of the 3rd degree for the scientific achievements.
She is the member of The Accountants Association in Poland (AAP).

Prof. S. Drobniak is a professor of fluid mechanics and fluid-flow machinery. His fields
of expertise are: experimental analysis of turbulent flows, diagnostics of thermal machinery,
aerodynamics of turbomachinery, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) including large eddy
simulation (LES). Prof. Drobniak teaches fluid mechanics and power engineering &
environment. He is a chairman of Polish Pilot Centre of ERCOFTAC (European Research
Community On Flow Turbulence And Combustion), member of a Comittee of Mechanics of
Polish Academy of Sciences, member of a managing board of PTMTS (Polish Society of
Theoretical and Applied Mechanics), member of Euromech and GAMM.
Prof. Drobniak worked as a "research fellow" (1981-1982) and "Visiting Professor"
(1999, 2000) at the Engineering Department, Cambridge University (UK). In 1990, 1991, 1996
and 1997 he was employed as a "maitre de recherche" and in 1997 as a "Visiting Professor" at
LEGI, Technical University of Grenoble (France). He provided invited lectures at univesities in
Greece, Belgium and Germany.

Scientific interests of Dr. D. Asendrych are focused on physics and metrology of fluid
flows, numerical modelling of flow and heat transfer in microchannels and modelling fibre
suspension flows. Dr. Asendrych gives lectures on advanced fluid mechanics, signal analysis and
fluid-flow metrology in Polish and English. He is a secretary of Polish Pilot Centre of
ERCOFTAC (European Research Community On Flow Turbulence And Combustion), member
of PTMTS (Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics) and Fluid Mechanics Section
of a Comittee of Mechanics of Polish Academy of Sciences. He worked as a grantholder of
TEMPRA programme (2001) and as a "maitre de conference" (2002-2003) at Laboratory of
Industrial and Geophysical Flows (LEGI), Technical University of Grenoble (France).
Dr Asendrych is a tutor of English-taught course on "Energy Engineering", established
thanks to European funding within the framework of TEMPUS programme. At present he
coordinates at the university the implementation of the project “Kierunki zamawiane”. Since
2000 Dr. Asendrych has been responsible for international student mobility at the faculty, being
carried out within ERASMUS (formerly SOCRATES) programme and various bilateral
agreements with foreign partners, including industry.

Professor Tadeusz Nieszporek is a specialist in machines technology. His fields of
expertise are: cutting tools, machine tools, production automation, machining. He is author and
co-author of more then 120 publications, in a large numbers in various national and international
conferences and journals, seven patents and four monographs. He has promoted three PhD
students. Professor’s didactic activities cover lectures, classes, workshops, seminars and
laboratory classes on theory of robotics, production automation, mechatronics and machining.
Professor is a member of PAN (Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznan branch) and PTMTS
(Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics). He is a partner in the CEEPUS project
(CEEPUS is a Central European exchange programme for university studies in which 15
countries participate).

Magdalena Zabochnicka-Świątek possesses a multidisciplinary education and holds an
MSc in Medical Diagnostics, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business English, and a PhD in
Environmental Engineering.
Her previous research was focused on immobilization of contaminants in the environment
by application of natural and synthesized sorbents, remediation of contaminated land and water
reconditioning. Her present research is focused mainly on assessment of gas pollution emission
reduction using algae (mainly the capture of CO2 emitted by industrial source) and on
applications of algal biomass for production of different types of renewable biofuels of third
generation, such as: biodiesel, bioethanol, biogas and biohydrogen and also as: high-protein
animal feed, food, agricultural protein-rich biofertilizer, biopolymers/bioplastics, biosorbents,
medicines and cosmetics. She is also a specialist in spectroscopic techniques.
For three years she has been working as a partner in the European Union’s Fifth Framework
Programme “Development of integrated management system (IMS) for prevention and reduction
of pollution of waterbodies at contaminated industrial megasites- WELCOME.” She cooperates
with scientific centers in Poland and abroad. She is an evaluator of R&D proposals for the
European Commission in the field of environmental protection and engineering, and a consultant
in this field for the Polish Ministry of Economy.

In his scientific work dr Krzysztof Fijałkowski investigates the: revitalization of degraded
soil-plant ecosystems, application of molecular and chromatographic analysis i environmental
engineering, application and development of plant toxicity tests (in-vitro) in soil remediation. He
currently lecturing: bioremediation, chemical-phytostabilisation and nature protection.
Dr K. Fijałkowski is a performer of many research projects and currently he is executing a
project "Detection of selected pathogenic microorganisms in wastewater and sewage sludge by
the method of real-time PCR".
His scientific trainings include: "Real-time PCR at TATA Biocenter in Prague",
"Fundamentals of molecular biology and endocrinology in Warsaw" and "Practical Aspects of
the gas chromatography in Gdańsk".

The scientific fields of interest of Piotr Tomski, Ph.D. are modern concepts of
management, joint actions of enterprises, small and medium enterprises (SME) specificity and
Real Estate Market. Piotr Tomski holds lectures on economics and project management. He is a
member of Polish Economic Society (PTE).

Dr Sitek’s scholarly research interests include economic aspects of making investments in
property business. Taking into consideration the general economic determinants, he analyses
strategies and investment policy, the specificity of property investment as well as risks and
effectiveness involved in these endeavors. Moreover, he studies the contribution of the banking
sector to the development of the property market and also deals with the problems of evaluation
and measurement of the effectiveness of financing property investments by the banking sector as
well as the management of this market. He has published widely on the above topics, including
his doctoral dissertation, 26 publications and a number of papers delivered at the national and
international conferences. He has also published two monographs, in which he investigated the
role of the banking sector on the property market as well as the cooperation of different business
entities on this market.
He also lectures on the functioning of property market, valuation of real estates and
investments on the capital market to Bachelor and Master degree students.

Since 1st October 2003 he has been a researcher and professor at the Chair of
Electrotechnics of the Electrical Engineering Faculty of Częstochowa University of
Technology; science discipline: electrotechnics. In 1972 he graduated from the Faculty of
Electrical Engineering of Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, where in 1980 he
received a doctor’s degree, and in 2000 a habilitated doctor’s degree. From 1972 to 2003 he
worked as an assistant lecturer and then as a tutor and assistant professor at the Institute of
Theoretical and Industrial Electrotechnics of Silesian University of Technology. From 1983
to 1988 he was an academic teacher at Tlemcen University (Algeria). His scientific interests
include: issues referring to electromagnetic field in high current, overhead and cable low
and high voltage transmission lines, earth-return circuits and impulse metal forming. He has
been author or co-author of about 180 scientific papers published in Poland and abroad in
conference proceedings, as monographs and in journals such as: Elektryka, Przegląd
Elektrotechniczny, Rozprawy Elektrotechniczne, Computer Applications in Electrical
Engineering, Advances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Archives of Electrical
Engineering, Acta Technica CSAV and Electric Power Systems Research. He collaborates
with academic and industrial centers in Poland, France, the Czech Republic and Ukraine.
He has participated in many scientific and programme committees of conferences held in
Poland and abroad. He has supervised and participated in several statutory and directive
works. He has conferred many engineer’s and master’s degree theses as well as two
doctoral theses. He currently is or has been lecturing on Foundations of Electrotechnics,
Waves and Antennae, Theory of Electromagnetic Field, Electrotechnics and Electronics,
Scientific Research Techniques, Computational Methods in Science and Technology,
Theoretical Electrotechnics and General Electrotechnics. He has been co-author of 5
manuals and academic handbooks and author of 3 monographs.
